The game forces you to engage PvP even if you don't want to, you have got your class quest in the other faction lands so you have got to sneak throught but you have got those zones as known as contested areas (and god knows how many of them there are!!) where there is an alliance town and an horde town (Hillsbrad ). Beeing in the highest level I still was meeting a few enemies while doing my quests, Im just wondering how it will be like for the slower leveler and the people joining the game a while after because those zones are going to be crowded...
Actually I found this class quest you mention to be one of the most memorable experiences from the beta. It had a really adventurous feeling about it, being on your own in a foreign land, everything seeming so strange, hardly a clue where to go... Being a human warlock, the second part of that quest took me into the ashenvale forests, where I was stumbling through the woods for days until finally some friendly elves showed me the way, despite my threat to burn this cursed forest down if I didn't find the way out soon. Oh, God bless the RP server!
My best pvp experience was on the Rp server 35 i belive. Me and 28 other people swam down to strangle thorn took the boat form bottybay and attacked Cross roads. But at the same time there was anothe raid going on so we eneded up double our player count. We attack cross roads from north and south and fought witht the horde for around 2 hours. We slaughterd over 68 of them in the first 45 mins but they started to wear us down useing guards. But we kept gettin reinforcements from res's and the other raid going on at the same time. We fought on for another hour and 15 and by the the higher level horde pplayers ahd arrived and pushed us back over the plains. So and i got about 4 kills and then was killed and then i went to bed. woke up and then logge don and the server shut down 2 mins later.
test 9 was insanity for the last few days.. (for those that participated ><)
the large scale fights became complete lag fests especially in areas like southshore and the crossroads.. some of my friends attested to a 20-25 man high level horde raid on astranaar that did some serious damage to the town with lower level alliance members scrambling to push back the horde..
but the best story was fighting in southshore at the last few hours.. a few alliance members and i were defending southshore from a much larger horde raid.. it was back and forth across hillsbrad and then.. all of a sudden.. the gms turned us into chickens and tossed us 100 ft into the air with safe-fall on the way back down.. it was the most amazingly difficult pvp experience trying to target chickens that were running around as fast as they could.. haha.. oh man.. i wish i took screenshots.. the day ended with an npc that spawned dozens of cat critters, hordes of minor infernals and one last charge toward tarren mill!!!! FOR THE ALLIANCE!
My best pvp experience was on my lvl 17 Orc hunter. It was the last day of Beta, so everyone was raiding. After fighting a lot of alliance invaders in orc lands on a raid (about 30 vs 30) I went to a human city on Dark shore (ashenvale?) By the time we got to where we were going about 10 of the 30 were left. And soon after getting wiped by the guards a few times I was the only one left. So I started to experiment with my new spells. I hid behind a bush close to town and used the power that lets you control your pet for 1 minute. I charmed a strider? bird b/c they were non-agro. And would put walk toggle on (to not alert anyone seeing it run) and would walk up to people then attack them. I had such a blast. I did that for another few hours. I could just see the peoples faces as they realized it was a pet!

Was this on server 23? cause if so i was there lvl 13 NE/rouge name Zeradule lmao we went from darkshore to ogrimmer it was great i am so gettin this game durin retail and then like 4 hours before beta ended the horde attacked Ashenvale and we were outnumbered (we had about 13 they had about 30 mabe 35 do correct me if im wrong) most either above or at lvl 20 and we held that town for 4 hours and i was killin mages preists hunters and warriors as long as they wenrt attackin me it was awesome (i usually gouges the warrior backed up cast slice and dice *warrior gets blasted by mage* then hes goin for mage and we rip him to shreds hehehehe)
EDIT: we held it till beta was over and with fortitude and the experience i got from duelin my fellow alliance members i could usually handled ppl up to 8 lvls above me ( with higher lvl rouges its mainly about who gets the jump first and who crits more from what i see so far but i have limited experience) unless there a warrior or shammy. we held it with great teamwork and good tactics big up to alliance .
* whoever said the alliance cant pvp must be crazy *
Five Ninjas are like a bundle of twigs. Together they are hard to break, but separated they are easily snapped.
