What percentage of players you killed have no loot?
I'm just curious. I quit the game, tried to sell it on ebay (unsuccessfully) and now I'm just going to wait to see what happens in patches. I'm going to go over my list of things that disappointed me.
1. Nobody has loot !!!! The biggest thing I was looking for in Darkfall was full-loot pvp. Yet well over half of the people who are playing are naked with their newbie weapon (no drop). You like the adreneline rush of besting that PK who finds you while mining?.. there is no rush... you will beat him 9 times out of 10, but who cares since he isn't risking anything (he is naked). There is no risk-vs-reward in pvp
2. Skill system / macroing/ levels ... Darkfall was supposed to have a skill system like UO. The problem is that the individual skill points do not matter at all, it's all about the 25th point. It's really no different than a game like WOW where you watch the '25' bubbles fill in at the bottom of your screen, then when you fill them all you get a new ability. Their is no linear progression with skill points... it's just a mis-named experience bar.
3. Exploits ... the game is just way too bugged, and players are taking huge advantage of it. Really stupid stuff like the ease of trapping high level mobs behind terrain and killing them in safety. It make the whole economy pointless.
4. Hacks ... again, same type of thing. There are very basic hacks that enable you to bypass a lot of the basic design features of the game. Auto-loot anyone? Is there anyone playing the game who actually drags items off of a corpse anymore?
To answer my topic question... my answer is about 25%.

LOL thats just to funny....... People complain about not having a hardcore FFAPVP Full Loot game and then when they get one they are to scared to put gear on so they can't get ganked..... lol I just can't help myself I have to laugh at that.

Characters near thier bindstone usually dont have loot on them. I just ignore them if they attack me, Its not woth the time.
The skill system works fine. Its up to the player in the end anyway. And its the same for everyone.
I have still not seen any cheaters or hackers. Hearing about it all the time here, have made me paranoid. I have Fraps ready if i see anything.

Don't you drop everything except your armor when you die? Main weapon/sidearm/nades/kits
Sure seems like full loot as it applies to the game.

If you aren't dropping anying in Darkfall because your naked, then it's actually less than what you drop in Counter-Strike. In counter-Strike YOU WILL DROP YOUR GUN (unless you already dropped it) You have your starter knife still/gun still when you spawn... Hmm.. Sounds a lot like Darkfall to me..

In CS:S they came 1 step closer to full loot since you drop grenade also.But really being naked and looting nothing is part of full loot.
Well full-loot would be the ability to take that dinky starter sword. So if you want to argue semantics, it really isn't full-loot as the prophets have proclaimed. I think it should cost the player something to try and run around naked killing.

Then what is the purpose of having gear at all in the game. Gear has to have some sort of advantages, as in heavy armor has a better armor bonus compared to leather. If its just for looks then why aren't people wearing gear?
Gear does make you better in CS.. Isn't there armor? isn't there tools to disarm bombs quicker? Now even guns can make you better. Using a rifle compared to a pistol. I don't think they do any more damage but you can fire more shots thus giving you a better chance to kill someone in most cases.

Because Darkfall isnt about PVP its about Ganking.

Actually, not a bad stategy, penalize player who stay naked for more than a certain period of time.
Maybe force people to carry their gold and have it start dropping if they remain naked for too long.
I know, won't work, they'd just equip the slots with trash, but trying to think out of the box here.

What's the funny thing is that AV toted that "Gear won't make the player" which leads the majority of people to run around naked because the game is skill based. So, the "full loot" aspect in combination with a lot of gear being useless means that only top tier gear will only have value when fighting other people with top tier gear. Thus, gear, in itself is useless, which leads me back to my point that Counter-Strike is more full loot than Darkfall is..

But yea.... technicly CS is full loot ! And weapon does make you better (more damage, more shots fired, more armor, helmet, etc)
I also think the player economy is better in CS where if people always buy an AK-47 then the price go up!
The first i played i find some people fighting not far from the guard towers.I went close to them and i fount a players tombstone i open it and i found some gold and a banded armor set,I loot it and run to the nearest town to bank it.Ninja loot FTW!
naked characters are only a threat to other naked characters. What's the point in having loot if you never where it? The naked guys just like being beaten up. The true murderers use their loot to pwn as many n00bs as possible. Hell, it's pretty easy to run away in darkfall anyway.

This is simply not true. If you are naked with a newbie weapon, you are about 50% as powerful as you would be if you were geared great. But the problem is with the risk/reward. Who cares if you lose 9 out of 10 fights if you lose nothing when you lose... but you gain loot that 1 in 10 chance when you win.
Almost every red I encountered in the wilderness was naked. If I killed them, did they care? nope. I was NEVER randomly attacked in the wilderness by a red or blue who was wearing gear.
You notice a huge defference in "winning fights" if you gear up. No point in fight agenst naked people anyway. There only in it to troll anyway. We usually ignore them.
If I fight 2 naked people and I'm geared + prepared, it'll be a definite win for me. People wearing decent gear generally don't just wander out in the world alone. Unless they're out to pk or are idiots, you really won't find them around the newbie areas either. I was involved in the biggest war the server has seen so far, last night, and there was banded, full plate, potions, reagents, and mounts everywhere.
You should stop hanging around naked people.
obviously if you fight naked people, you get nothing. This thread fails.

That would be retarded game design. You have to give player something to fight with. Even in EVE Online you always get a starter ship. This is game design 101
edit- a better solution 'if they wanted to punish this' is take a tip from the pros (eve online) whereas you always have something major on the line. For instance, losing a pod in EVE will cost ya ISK (aka gold) and possible loss of skill points.
