Why? The time I've played in the Chinese retail, was enough to sell the game for me.
The PvE Quests are fun and don't feel grindy.
PvP isn't instanced and the territorial control in the Abyss sounds awesome.
The quests are just like WoWs, they hide a grind...which is a good thing. I haven't done any quests yet that I would hate doing all over again, but I will say that this is one MMO I probably won't reroll in.
I hear the grind is really bad in the late 30s, and that they're increasing the level cap in the next patch. I just don't see that being a good idea.

I heard they fixed that level 30ish grind in the 1.2 patch in Korea, and I hear that the NA/EU release is going to be 1.2... or at very least not 1.0.. which is what China was release at.
Korea's level cap is 50, China is 45, but they are uping it to 50 just like Korea, and adding more quests.
I will be playing Aion because it looks great and supposedly is the most polished game since WoW. Plus the pvpve focus looks fun.
Yes, the game kinda reminds me of Legend of Dragoon but I guess that's because you can get wings. I like how moving around actually gives you bonuses while fighting and there is air combat if im not mistaking. Also I heard that a lot of former FFXI players liked the game and FFXI was my favorite MMORPG.

The level cap for Korea is "said" to be in the works to be increased in 1.3 patch for Korea (from 50 to 55).
yes i will be bying the na retail at release, played the korean and chinese retail and can't wait to fully get into the game. been holding back trying to play as casual as possible because i don't want to hit max cap then start all over when we get it. loved everything i seen in game tho, wasn't anythign i can think of that i didn't like
I have it preordered already... I am totally excited for this game, mostly for the flying aspect and that the game is beautiful both musically and graphically. The world looks so vibrant and fluid, just watching videos for it makes me say, "amazing!" Once this game is out, I believe my computer will finally have a deserving MMO to play on.
I'm waiting to see what special items each retail store will have in there CE before I Pre-order.

More looking forward to Mortal Online and Fallen Earth personally.
If I burn out on those or get disappointed I will surely try Aion .... or Earthrise, or JGE, or Black Prophecy or SW:TOR AAAAAARRRGGHHH! The choice ..... it's killing me!
i'm definitely buying Aion the day it's released in NA. I'm currently playing on the chinese servers, and so far i'm very entertained. i can't wait to see the game in english with, hopefully, some cultural changes here and there that better suits NA players. only aspects i don't like so far; the UI isn't *as* customizable as i'd like it be. -i want to be able to break sections up and lay them out wherever i want to. mouse options are non-existing. -can't invert, can't pan the camera without changing direction. (unless u use click-to-move) Iirc there was a change mouse axis option to do that. can't toggle flight. -need one key to spread wings, need another to fold them back. should just have one key to toggle between. vertical climb during flight needs its own key as well. it should just be tied in with the jump key. Yes you can check out the actions screen, the one where activating powershards icon is, and you'll see a wings icon that will open and close wings with the same button can't swim in water. an aspect of the game which is weird, i always enjoyed swimming underwater to kill or gather with breath-time looming over my head. maybe theres a buff later on that allows swimming, another ingame goal to strive for. can't think of anything else atm..
Interesting to note that most players who have tried this game are very excited about and and plan on subscribing. Says a lot about the game. I will be there on opening day (if I can get on a server).
I'll be buying it for sure. The other games I'm looking forward to wont be out for atleast a year after the NA Aion release. And to the person above me, Steam IS going to release Aion on there service.

Short answer, YES, I will be buying Aion!
Aion may not be perfect or be totally new and innovative, it is however a heck of a lot of fun, it is well made, polished and can only go up.

Yes, I'm buying Aion because there's nothing worth subscribing on the market at present. The game looks polished and the world is beautiful.
In the land of Predators, the lion does not fear the jackals...
Hopefully there will be a preorder on steam
