Granted, he hasn't been in office that long, but he's been in office long enough to unravel things he said was going to undo. So far, he's done nothing to unravel what the Bush administration has done. He's literally following suit with what Bush left at the table, just look at the stats.

All I see is a lot of huffing and puffing, and no straw houses falling down.
He did the same thing with the trillions in bailouts.
He's increasing troop levels in the middle-east.. Increasing, by as much as 30,000.. let that number sink in.
He was just recently quoted in saying that he supports preventive detention for situations other than Afghanistan/Iraq. That is jailing people, without trial, on mere suspicion. That is - Guantanamo Bay 2: Domestic Adventures.

I don't care if people say Obama is different, or he's the Democratic saviour. I don't care if Bush was favored by Republicans. I don't fall for the 1-2 Switcharoo, business as usual approach when it comes to Washington policy-making. This whole thing has been a psychological mind-fuck for the entire population.

It's when you sit in an interrogation room, being accused of a crime. A rough and rowdy cop with his sleeves rolled-up comes barreling in, demanding you tell him the truth damnit, or else. Banging the table, shaking his fist. Then his mellow buddy with his sleeves rolled down, comes walking in all cool and laid back. He tells the rowdy cop to take a break and cool off, then leans over to you and apologizes, saying ol' rowdy didn't mean anything. The cool cop is there to make you feel better, to soothe your ruffled feathers and to make you feel safe, but both cops only want one thing.

I don't see faces. I don't see Bush or Obama, I dont' see black and white. I only see the details, the policy, what matters. When I look at it like this, all I see is another 4 (or 8) years of more progression into a xenophobic police-state.
... and who knows what else.

Listen I am not going to argue Obama=good/bad with you, and I am certainly not going to get into a mud throwing match, I posted what I did to make people think twice about throwing around terms they nothing about just because some moron on Fox news did the same thing.  People who quote people without the facts are mindless automontons, and shouldn't be chiming in on a political issue unless they have something all their own to say.

The simple point is, people who label a Democrat as a Nazi or a Communist are 95% likely to be a Republican bitter at what bush did to their party and pissed that someone would presume to fix his problems.

The fact is, do I think Obama is doing a good job?  Answer= I don't know.

Face it, BUSH LEFT A GIANT F*CKING MESS.  And someone has try and clean it up, so you want to attack me over what I said, FINE, GO OUT AND DO SOMETHING TO FIX THE PROBLEMS, and then come back and attack me.  UNTIL that time, you can just shut up, because frankly you aren't helping all you are is making the problem worse playing arm chair quarterback and lashing out at people who believe different than you.  BUT You better be damn sure not to weild a word like Nazi or communist around with me unless you've got more than one event, or one misconception.

Obama is fixing Bush's problems by embracing Bush's policies on just about everything, and on his worst policies he is INCREASING the magnitude of the Bush policies even further?

At least with Bush we had the leftist media always trying to make him look bad; now we have a propaganda wing for the Obama admin pretending to be the media.

    Right. Sure thing.

It is plainly obvious from your Godwin-violating first post and the rest of the ones that followed that you have absolutely no idea what the hell you're talking about.

So I started to walk into the water. I won't lie to you boys...I was terrified. But I pressed on, and as I made my way past the breakers, a strange calm came over me. I don't know if it was divine intervention or the kinship of all living things, but I tell you, Jerry, at that moment ... I was a marine biologist.

Obama making such a fine statement.

    What a fucking pig.

Edit: Sorry for the "Fucking Pig"... a little much indeed, but I still believe anyone who uses that joke is a pig.

I don't have sound on my work computer. What video is this?

EDIT: Oh, that. We're still on that, I see. Was it a particularly prudent thing to say? No. Is it similar to cracks that many people have made for years, right or wrong? You betcha. Did I like it? No. Does it make him a "fucking pig"? No. Is it remotely germane to the topic at hand? Not even close -- just an excuse for you to hate on Obama because he won and your guy lost.

Obama on The Tonight Show with Leno. Leno asks about the closing down of the bowling alley at the White House or whatever.

Obama: "No, no, I've been practicing for a .. I bowled a, 129." *Applause* (Making fun of his previously highlighted failures at bowling)

Leno: "Oh no, that's very good. *clap* That's very good Mr. President."

    *Pause* *Laughter*

Obama leans over to Leno while chuckling and says: "It was like, it was like Special Olympics or something." *Laughter* *Laughter* Etc..

I'm not being hard on myself, but good shot trying to belittle me like that. All while not commenting on a sick joke by a US President. Heaven forbid a Republican said that on a talk show.. oh lordy no, my gosh no.

It's the terrible gaffe Obama made on the tonight show saying he was bowling like he was in the special olympics.  It was awful.

Unfortunate he didn't manage to gate that completely inappropriate "humor" that we've all seen in a hundred standup comedy routines.

"You tricked me Hangman." I shouted then,

"That your scaffold was built for other men,

and I'm no henchman of yours." I cried.

"You lied to me Hangman, foully lied."

Then a twinkle grew in his buckshot eye,

"Lied to you...tricked you?" He said "Not I...

for I answered straight and told you true.

The scaffold was raised for none but you."

"For who has served more faithfully?

With your coward's hope." said He,

"And where are the others that might have stood

side by your side, in the common good?"

    "Dead!" I answered, and amiably

    "Murdered," the Hangman corrected me.

"First the man ... then the woman.

I did no more than you let me do."

Beneath the beam that blocked the sky

none before stood so alone as I.

The Hangman then strapped me...with no voice there

to cry "Stay!" ... for me in the empty square.

THE BOTTOM LINE: "...I did no more than you let me do."

The future : a de jure corrupt, tyranical, racist police state where your rights are actually only privileges, and your privileges are only accorded to you along the lines of race and political party. Apparently racist black hate groups and/or democrats(one of the panthers was a dem polling officer ) groups can engange in any bahvior they so wish, so long as they don't bother to show up in court to defend their behaviors. Who knew lady liberty was actually doing the sieg heil! .

Do yourselves a favour: read a history book about what happend in the REAL, the Third Reich under Hitler and THEN come back before you do such talk.

WOW.  So you admit straight-out that you don't know if you think Obama is doing a good job or not.  Really?  You can't see what he's been doing, what he wants to do, how he talks about Big Government, how he nominates tax-cheat and Federal Reserve boy-toy Tim Geithner, how he lets Pelosi and Reid run amock and basically make Checks and Balances worthless, and how he literally wants to tax air?  You don't know if that's good or bad?  Really?  And you're sitting here arguing politics?  Really?

That's right.  Obama wants to tax air.

Who cares what someone on Fox news says.  You can't look at what Obama has done and is shooting for and know whether you like it or not?  If you like Big Government and less freedom and more taxes and more government control over your life and the monetary enslavement of your children and grandchildren, then you'd probably think Obama is doing a good job.  If you don't like those things, then you'd probably think he's not doing a good job.  If you don't know, then maybe you should think some more about whether or not you like government walking all over The Constitution and confiscating your freedoms and money you've earned.
