sorry Op but what your saying is stupid. I, as a dev would be upset if my boss didnt defend me at all. alot of people on forums are ignorant and rude, they exxagerate, lie and make things up to prove a point or skew people views on an issue. you cant fight those people with silence. you have to stand up for yourself. his skin is still thick, he just did the right thing to do.

Anyone who can not express themselves without having to resort to insults should be ignored

    PERIOD.

Lol @ OP it is sad that his skin is not so thick anymore?

What line of work are you in may I ask, and is it ok for some jacked up kid to come and insult you in your line of work?? Answer that? Before  making "sad" comments.

MMO publishers/devs put themselves in this position.  nature of the business.  they all ask for money now and give empty promises of how the  game might get better in the future.  Untill they can come up with a better business model or earn a reputation of quality and honesty they will forever be burdened with the nastiest consumer base imagineable.

And we foolishly sucumb to it each time(if you know anything about mmos, you know that they are not released in perfect polished condition and a six months time period is recommended), not right, of course, but no need for insults.  If you are hell bent on insults then dont expect a response, thats all i am saying, and be prepared to be ignored. Two wrongs dont make a right....................

From The 1.05 Update thread forums.ageofconan.com/showthread.php , It's getting pretty heated.

"I don't mean to single you out, posts that include insults are pretty much ignored as a general rule. Constructive criticism is one thing, and I am perfectly fine dealing with that, as I am doing here, but you have to understand that usually the second a dev reads an insult they will be switching off by and large."
He used to have a much thicker skin. Sad.

Side Note: Glad to see a change in FC forum Moderation, the critical fans are finally having their voices heard. As ugly as it is getting, atleast the FC Devs are finally hearing it straight from the players.

that post he did right there shows me that NO they haven't done endgame rightly yet

    gonna still wait

Just when you think you have all the answers, I change the questions.

Well Craig made the tools bitching at him look like complete morons,  he stood there while this child called him retarded and every other name under the sun and explained what they were going to do and how he wasn't going to get his way this time.   99% of the whining in AoC comes from the dumbass Raiders, they are the bane of every MMO;  and why all developers right now are giving them the finger.

You blown through the conetent? Great now go outside, or go blow through another MMO and come back later or not....you represent 1% of any game and your income to whine ratio just isn't worth it.

Made them look like 'morons' by telling them ' You are right' ???

Blow threw the content?? The game is more than a year old.

Raiders are only 1% of an MMOs pop?? ROFLMAO.

Yup givng customers 'the finger' is always the best bussiness plan, it sounds like you didn't even read that thread.

It's you who didn't read the thread, not only did I read it; I participated in it.

Telling them more end game content would come but there were more important issues to address wasn't really saying they were right guy; it's akin to saying yeah we could all use more money...it's a rhetorical truism not an acknowledgement.

Yes the game is more than a year old and it has some awesome content updates just not that much for the 1% because there are bigger fish to fry, and you are just not that important.

If they are a niche demographic that are insatiable and spends all of their time crying about somthing, then it is the best business plan, that is why  Blizzard, Bioware, SOE, Mythic, and every other developer known to man are doing it currently.

If you actualy paid attention when you were participating in that thread, you'd see the majority of the complaints aren't specifically Raid related, they are complaining about the lack of end game. All aspects of End Game: Raiding, PvP, Crafting and other typical time sinks / fluff.

And his response was not a 'rhetorical truism', he was said he had to make a choice on wich big hole to plug first and 'itemization' in his opinion had to be done before anything else.

Your claim that every MMO dev house ignores Raiders is laughable, every game that has raiding mechanics bases the majority of their expansion content on adding encounters / raids.

And their is no excuse at this point for AoC to still have broken raid loot tables. I'll bet that is one of the biggest factors causing AoC to lose level 80 players, ( that and the issues with PvP content / level scaling.)
