I'm curious. What's the longset , in terms of years, has anyone subscribed and played a game? Free or pay, doesn't matter. And name the game.

i've been playing eq ever since the langseax was considered a cool weapon
ya gotta love a barb warrior with an uber langseax, it is langseax right?
Just over 2 years with Lineage 1...
2nd longest would be just over a year in Lineage 2 (played since Korean Open Beta)
3rd would be Priston Tale with about 6+ months...
the rest were all like anywhere from 1-2 days to 3-4 months...

If you count CSS, then counterstrike is probably the longest game ive played... I guess about 3 years on and off.

Counterstrike on and off since beta 0.7 dunno how long thats been.

EQ1 4 years just quit this month =P now i need to find a new game to get addicted to.
Ultima Online approximately 1.5 years (left out of disgust with the game's lack of techical capabilities and the developer's inability to leave a damned thing alone)
Everquest approximately 2 years (only because of friends)
Many others from a week to a couple of months

Longest in a row is definatly Star Wars Galaxies. 1 whole year... OMG. And I never stopped either. I had 3 accounts never cancelled... until the day SOE never wanted to fix a bug for me to complete my Jedi quests... which is the only reason why I quit.

Yup ... hard to believe a 6-23 weapon was ever considered good, isn't it.
Minus some breaks here and there to play DAOC and AO, around 5 great years in EQ from beta 3 until earlier this year.
3 years off and on in...... Runescape.
2 years off and on in.... Anarchy Online.
2 years off and on in.... Everquest.
2 years off and on in..... Astonia 3.
1 year solid in Star Wars Galaxies, then off and on the past 3 months.

my longest was EQ1 played it for 3 1/2 years. quit about a year ago though and havent been able to find a game that could interest me like that (although i have tried many). waiting till i can buy my new comp so i can get EQ2.

My longest was over a year in Lineage 1. I think its about one and a half years or so.
Never played an MMO that long anymore since.
I'm hoping WoW (EU) will last me longer than that

Have tried many others, to include AC2 but it just didn't/doesn't have the staying power. Why, no clue lol

I've been playing UO for around 5 years or so..
On and off the last year, but I still miss it occasionally
I've played it for so long mainly because no other game can really replace the freedom and danger of UO (as far as Felucca or Siege go).
I played the WoW Open Beta and that's the first game that has the same 'feel' as UO.. It will take some time to be sure though, so I'm going to have to play it a lot once it's released
