EVE online hands down. Enough so that a lot people spend their entire time in-game being system pirates, anti-pirates, or members of factional warfare or a private corporate war.
i very rarely reply to any threads but the best PvP game in terms of skill over another player is DAoC, the graphics arent bad tbh, i always find myself coming back to this game and the population is just fine on the US servers, mainly Killbury cluster. Never ever played a game like it when with a bit of thought a healer type can take town a tank type etc if played extremely well.
Currently playing : Darkfall Character name : Aeola Anara Played: Almost every P2P MMO you can get your hands on, notably: Daoc, SWG, LOTRO, WAR, AoC + Dozens more
DAoC was streets ahead of anything on the market for RVR (pvp). The ultimate even with New Frontiers. Currently the best PvP is AION, not only can you have in flight PvP but there is also in-game 'The Rift' which is similar to DAoC's rvr dungeon.

IRL , that shit is serious business. However it depends what pvp you want, hardcore? DK or War, perhaps you actually have a real life try WoW arenas(NOT raiding and ect).
None really. The MMO genre sucks as far as PvP goes and the hardcore PvP community stays away from it for the most part. The only MMO officially considered an Esport is 3v3 arena for WoW.

Dark Age of Camelot on the Mordred pvp server ... hands down and believe me when I say, I have tried em all.
i would say if you want mass pvp go warhammer online.
There are times when one must ask themselves is it my passion that truly frightens you? Or your own?
Darkfall!

HKO.. srsly..

If DAoC had a larger player base and better graphics I would try it.
Guild Wars for PvP.
DAoC for RvR pvp.
"TO MICHAEL!"
I'm downloading the Guild Wars trial again, last time I quit immediately because I couldn't jump.
Guild Wars is more about the skills and less about the "jumping around." Still I second Guild Wars and Warhammer for PvP.
I played Warhammer for a few months and didn't like it.
Wait. Your asking a loaded question here.
You've set boundaries in your question so that the answer can be of only 5 games.

If you're a good player, just put together the right build depending on who you face in your group and you never have to jump again.
There are plenty of builds to choose from that counter other builds.
In WAR, doesn't matter what kind of build you have, when they open up that can of PBAE or AoE, you're going down.

Shadowbane hands down. To bad its gone forever July 1st.
Second in line is Darkfall and EVE Online.
The definition of insanity: doing the same thing over and over expecting different results.
EVE Online is better then anything. For arena type competition WoW stands out.
Planetside (still the best massive FPS type PVP game online)
Eve (OMG unless you have tough skin - stay away...this game can be brutal - but for great PvP Eve is it)
Dark Age of Camelot (good RVR - probably best I ever played)
WoW (decent - but heavily reliant on gear_
Age of Conan (if you can get past the company running it and the game issues it has fun PvP)
Darkfall (from what I have heard DF actually has decent PvP at the higher end of thegame)
take your pick because all these have decent PvP from my own experince or from reliable source.
I think Teala's got a good list there. Each one caters well to a different playstyle and preference.
- RPG Quiz - can you get all 25 right?
- FPS Quiz - how well do you know your shooters?
Lineage 2
Dark Age of Camelot
EVE
Guild Wars
Aion
Age of Conan
Darkfall
(insert 30 other games)
Warhammer
World of Warcraft
Eve Online. You can jump all you want to in that, heh.
Seriously, jumping around in PvP is incredibly lame, and worth nothing but contempt.

Ima probably get laughed outta here but i love the PvP in City of Heroes. If u like to jump around, or fly, thats for u, hehe.
playing:DCUO,GW2,WoW
played:SWG,LotRO,CoH,GW,FF14,ESO,AlbionOnline
But I just love jumping.
I heard that AoC had horrible PvP, but I guess I'll try it out because the graphics are so good.
