I think you have a pretty consistant Leveling curve. Those you saw are the kind of players that rush to get to level 60 and be "über". It's pretty sad IMHO as they must miss alot of cool parts of the game that way. I reached level 25 in two weeks during Open Beta, and alot of the friends I made thought I was leveling fast. In fact I think I was pretty medium on the leveling Scale.
The most important thing is to "value" the game and have as much fun as you can, for as long as possible. Personally I'm pretty much into exploring the world as I level, and follow the "instructions" pretty much as I get them. (ie teh Quests, I venture where the quests take me, and then explore the new area as much as I can)

I think we're seeing the result of those bots that ran 24/7. I heard WoW banned some of them. I also got an email (wish i had kept it) from some website that was basically a paid service where they play your toon and lvl him or you.
I personally dont see how its physically possible to lvl up to 45 or higher already. I play 5-7 hours a day and Im only lvl 26 warlock. Granted, I spent a lot of time levelling cooking to expert 225, fishing expert 225, switched from herbs/alchemy to miner / enchanter and levelled those all as well. I guess maybe if someone didnt do much crafting (if any), didnt bother with first aid / fishing / cooking, and played 12 hours a day I suppose its possible to make 40 by now. Any higher though and Im suspicious to think of the word "cheater" or "exploiter"
I dont know people do this. Whats the rush anyway. If anything, Im concerned lvl is too fast. What is there to do after we max out ? For me thats a long way off but for those players already above 40, sheesh. I predict they'll be gone soon.

i did the speed leveling in beta just to see how far i can push it, made it quite a way to, but i missed 89-95% of the game doing it, i made another quick char and took my time, for the last 2 days, and made it to lvl 14. I found the game enjoyable exploring and questing, chances are that these people might have used bots to level, blizzard is doing another kick and ban spree for these kind of players and will be doing periodacal checks on players.
Now I have heard EVERYTHING. That is just so stupid. I really feel sorry for people who would pay to have someone level their toon for them. Also I hope there is a special place in Hell for those people who run that website.
I got one of those emails also. My question is how the hell did they get my personal email address. I don't give it out to any websites.

I hate those people who cheat to level their characters faster.... What is the point of buying the game if all your going to do is use cheats or a service to raise your character? Is it because they feel "special" because they have a better character? I mean come on, if someone game me a level 60 character I'd delete it. I like to value my characters by knowing how much work I put into them. Having it done for me is pointless and I know I'm living a lie in the game.... I'm not going to be happy knowing I defeated someone using a fake character, but if I work on that character and I beat him I'll be as happy as hell.

I know, but the email came to my personal email address. Not the one I use for forums and other things.
I just think that some people spend insane amounts of time playing the game and they level very quickly. One of my friends plays WoW and he and his roommate play the same character and level it very fast. With both of them playing the character, it gets played probably about 18+ hours a day.

They are the type of people who have no commitments and can spend 16+ hours in game. Not saying they are losers I'm just saying they have more free time than most. Sharing accounts happens some too, not that it matters, you can farm the really good stuff until you have some more 60's to group with, and by that time most will be caught up.
I agree - but I think the motive may be different. In EQ it was/is very popular to get a char up to a high level, and then sell the account on EBay. I would wager the same thing is going to happen in WoW, that people are going to start selling L60 chars on EBay.
Personally, I hate to see that happen, I think it cheapens the game - especially if the char was speed leveled via some hack.
I also cannot understand why anyone would buy an L60 or so char. What is the point? So you can walk around and feel uber? Why not go through the experience yourself? But people are people, unfortunately.

I'd say you are doing just fine. My Orc hunter on Gorefiend is only 29 and I'm trying but, I have friends and stuff that are fairly new or don't login as much or are young (one o' my friend's kids). That holds me back a little but, I've been playing since game release as much as possible 4 -5 hours a day if I can. I'm tradeskilling and doing quests etc. I'm having a blast, Some of those high lvl folks prolly used game exploits I feel also. Which is just the worst kind of gamer. Why even play it if you are going to cheat yourself out of the growth experience. I love this game ! Oh, plus there are people out there who are homebound due to disabilities and stuff that can play the game full time - Those people will generally be higher lvl and still be getting max gaming experience <shrug>.
All of us who are in the game now are the pioneers ain't it great!?

Two atoms walk out of a bar. The first exclaims, "Damn, I forgot my electrons." The other replies, "You sure?". The first explains, "Yea, I'm positive."
Most of the guys in my guild are L20-L32. For myself, I have several chars, the top one is an L30 tauren hunter on Gorgannash.
I can say that I play the game at least 4 hours a day, and more on the weekend. I also played most of Thanksgiving, and took two days off last week (and played some marathon sessions).
I would be higher, but I took a lot of hours to explore some stuff - in particular in the north barrens (cuz I wanted a tiger and went to that island, for one thing, although changed the tiger for a wolf), and sometimes I just wander because I am weary of PvP or some grinding quest, and just need a break. A lot of people rush into quest after quest, and work to level. That is fine, but I back off if a grind gets to me too much. For example, in Zoram'Gar there is that instance (spacing the name). Took 5 hours for 5 guys to finish. Afterwards, one of the guys was like, lets do the next instance. I said, no, I am taking a break.
Also, if you level fast, you don't craft as well. I have skinning and leatherworking, and these take time. Like last night I went to the Yeti caves in Hillsbrad and skinned until I had enough. Tonight I will spend some time crafting, to get my leatherworking skill up.
Other people spend a lot of time (and are fascinated with) the auction house.
I think all of these things make up the game.
For me - I do want to get to L40, but for very specific reasons. I want to ride a mount, and I want my hunter to have mail armor. After L40, sure, L60 beckons, but that will take some time. I also have 6 other chars I want to work on ...

Isn't that just insane? But in a good way.
Last night, my quest log was 17/20. I went to Hillsbrad just to get skinz. 5 NPCs had "!" over their heads.
Sigh.
I was like fine, I am here, big bad Tauren hunter, what do you need? I took 3 quests, finished two. Then turned em in. Only to get 2 more. One of which was to go kill the L34 Ogres (and I was like, I just got to L30, what the heck? Do I LOOK like I can take an L34 Ogre? Well, look again
It is cool, it is just funny that everywhere you go, its like oh, a myriad of quests awaits you and you are almost never done. I spent 3 hours just finding the 12 pages of the manual (Ashenvale quest). What a grind that was, but good xp and made like 10GP from picking up junk and selling it.
I want to be playing now

It's calling "Grouping"! Anyone that isn't a loner can group with 5 people, do hard and elite dungeons or quests, gain 1-3 levels per day and level up quickly.
It's either that, or they are people that play 12 HOURS of WoW a day!
The game is well balanced, for a casual player, I'm trying to at least gain 1 level a day, if not in 2 days. Which is a decent pace to go level at.

You can crank pretty quickly the levels right to 60 but my question is why? We all know the game is ment for casual players they pretty much confirmed that much on the back of the box. So why come to a game that is a bit easier for casuals and max out?
They are only setting themselves up for a major letdown. The game is to be enjoyed like a fine whine not a cheap hooker.
