What would be cool is a skill up system with levels, where levels are tiered and capped requiring skills to reach a certain levels in areas dependant on job classification. But I'm sure it does sound like they are going with some weapon or armor dependency system which I dont care a lot for.. We'll see how it goes but it's starting to sound like something I might not want to play.
Grinds will never go away, just take different names and forms.
Grind depends on the gamer. I never grinded in FFXI, well except maybe for gil.
In general every MMO will have some content that will be considered a grind by a large populace.
I still say the journey is just as important as the destination.
Yes it should be. That's what I hate about WoW and similar games where the entire emphasis is on the endgame. When I play a game I want to have an enjoyable experience throughout, not suffer through levels 1-79 and then finally have fun on the 80th.
