which single player rpg would you like to be made into an mmo

which single player rpg would you like to be made into an mmo ?

I remember playing warcraft 2 in around 2002 i think i played it for about a week got bored with it and then moved on . There was nothing there to suggest that the juggernaut that would be world of warcraft could ever have evolved from that game . So i would like to ask you what single player rpg you have played or are playing would make a good mmo and why ?

    Hm...Drakensang

Typical fantasy setting, but I enjoy the ruleset more than D&D rules.

    Oblivion...and there are rumors...

There's a few, but I think I'd highly enjoy the Diablo/Starcraft universe. Those have always been 2 games I've crossed my fingers for.

    HELLO.... ZELDA...

No but really zelda would be great... they could use the aging mechanic out of the ociarna of time!

And water could look like water in the windwaker... like real water !

Why this does not exist boggles my mind.

    Zelda MMO? Ugh, no.

Having players jump several years is not an aging system. Slowly getting older and having an observable passage of age with eventual death is.

How did Wind waker have realistic water, either? Far as I recall I have never seen any bright crayon blue water with white cracks all over it.

Not really an rpg but a monster hunter mmo with more to do than just the kill, add crafting and stuff.

Also Zelda follows a tight script couldnt really picture 500 green elves running around would be like wow during christmas

While Oblivion is a decent game I don't think that Betheda is in anyway a good compnay to make MMOs. They have no dialogue, story, or lore skills.

My first choice is already hapening with KOTOR. Next on the list would have to be Elder scrolls (as mentioned above, that may be hapening to). Would also love to see somthing along the lines of Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines or Shadowrun.

I've never understood the interest in Oblivion. My wife is actually playing it on our dekstop right now and I look over there occasionally. There's just nothing about the game that makes me want to play it. Her character looks like it's floating everytime it jumps, like the physics is horribly off on the game.  Collision also seems horribly done. She walks through half the object in the game.

i remember a 2d game on the original playstation that would have fitted the horror concept really well . for the life of me i cant remember its name ( had vampires in it ).

a gothic horror mmo might be fun but i think it would have to go beyond just the monster hunter thing .

1)Oblivion is an amazing game. It has, what, a 95 on Metacritic?

2)Explain to me how they lack any of those skills?

I really don't like first person view games. I can understand it from an immersion sense, but it bugs me to death.

I also can't really think of a single player rpg I would like to see as an mmo. There are a lot of good ones, just can't see them as mmo's.

Yeah, I always wanted to see a good Dark Eye MMO. I'd also say Ultima, anew and due to modern, story heavy standards. :)

Oblivion as a single player game can be a little slow at times but it does have some interesing quests .There quite a lot of lore and things like crafting skills involved . you join guilds in the game and its pretty non linear outside the main storyline . everything about it could lend itself to a multiplayer enviroment . yeah i would agree about the jumping . but at least you can jump i hated guild wars because i could nt . silly i know ... but i wanna jump dammit lol
