Countless people in the Aion Beta stated "when does the fun begin?" "O,. the fun starts in the PVp zone at level 20+" and with that, is Aion. The fun never starts for some players, some players as soon as they spawned into the world could tell exactly, what Aion was, some players need to be taught a lesson on what aion is.
That lesson will be learned and we who have already seen the end, will be waiting for all the threads after release.

You know what? I would rather deal with some boring levels and have fun with a smooth running game at end game. I admit, that's the only thing WAR got right. You can PvP from level 1 and actually level up through it. That's great, I really do love that. The only problem is the rest of the game...

I would leave out "entire" if I were you. I like the first 20 levels. They aren't much different than your standard MMO, but they are fun. After 20 is where the game starts distinguishing itself. Doesn't mean the first 20 levels aren't fun or are fail, just means after 20 is better.
I went to a restaurant the other day, had an appetizer and then a steak. The appetizer was good, the steak was excellent.

The fun already start with creating your character after that it gets better with every level
1 to 10 handfull new skills to learn your character.
10 to 20 again more skills, Elite quests and Wings. 10 levels to get used to flying before you need it in PvP
20 to 30 more skills and intro to PvP through rifts and at 25 the abyss
30 to 40 More skills all the above and dungeons/instances
40 to 50 i have yet to experience but looking at previous levels it can only get better
seems very balanced and good to me but that is my opinion.

Hell yeah... Aion is dangerous for our health. I thought I couldn't find myself playing a MMO for more than 6 straight hours in weekends because you usually notice that you are grinding, and the immersion breaks and you get bored until I got the chance to play in Aion's CBs.

Different strokes for different folks pal. Some people might actually like the game pre-whatever level you decided in your head was the magic number to convince yourself that you're the voice of the entire community. I happened to like the game. I didn't step foot in a PvP zone, yet still had fun doing quests with my girlfriend. She even liked the game, and hasn't played an MMO in 3 years. So no, it's not /fail. Only you think that.

Yet your avatar is WoW in Middle Earth. I can make fun I'm a founder!
Having played many games, EQ, EQII, Horizons, EvE-Online, E&B, FFXI, WoW, GW, and many others..... I have now played the Aion CB3. Of all the games I have played my favorites and longest lasting games were EQ & FFXI... Aion really does hold something for me, I cannot place my finger on what it is. The game is genuinely fun for me. This is my personal taste, but I will list what it is I like.
- Wings ~ I realize this is windows dressing but I love it and have fun with it.
- Story and design ~ Artwork is gorgeous and the story in the questing is entertaining and gives the world a strong atmosphere. The creatures feel unique and are wonderful to look at. I am really looking forward to progressing through the game to see what newer more powerful creatures look like.
- Character Customization ~ So many options, I can spend an hour in character creation deciding on the pergect look for my character.
- Graphics ~ This to me is never a deal breaker, I like a game based on gameplay, but this games graphics deserve mentioning as the world I have seen so far is breathtakingly beautiful. and I truely feel like exploring the world as a result.
- Skill Chains ~ Feels like the early days of FFXI and learning the skill chains. I hope that soon they put an update in for skillchains to become bigger and better, group skillchains and magic bursts.
Overall I will be playing this game as it really has something I feel alot of games have been missing. To me that game feels like it has soul.
Now just to be fair I will also point out what I feel are some flaws that I have found or feel are flaws to me....
- Skills were kinda slow to come by. This is a personal feeling as I love variety, and after level 10 it was better... so this point may be moot.
- Crowding. The game is overcrowded at this point. I am certain this is an issue of the level cap in the current closed beta. the crowding can cause lag and some issues with Kill Stealing.
- Server Stability. I have gone to log in a couple times this weekend and found Siel to be down..... this is frustrating when you want to play... but likely a beta issue as they try to get the NA servers to proper setting and capacity.
This is my 2 cents for now, however I do feel that the flaws I have posted can be dealt with easily and none are a deal breaker for me. I would like to welcome anyone to add to my list of pro's and con's to round it out a little..... but I really do not feel that Aion is just WoW with wings. The story is there, lore, and the most important thing is that the game is immersive and fun.

I never sat there in a game for minutes on end just admiring the world around me. They took the cue from another NC Soft stablemate, Guild Wars, and put time and effort into the art of the game. That is, so often, overlooked in games coming out. They spend so much time on combat mechanics or using a huge engine that they forget if a person doesn't like the way a game looks and feels, It doesn't matter how much content you have. Oh, and I manged to have two level 20 characters and another at 15 just by doing the quests/missions, so cut the shit about the massive grind in the game. It's a lie.
As for "server issues", I think they were testing how each could handle a load when the other was down. It IS a beta.

As I said I figured it was all beta growing pains for the new servers. not really a big deal.
As for the immersion, I would take it a step further than just the enviroment... standing in altgard just outside in the water my character was standing there and what does he do? Bounce in spot? look around? No, he see a fish at his feet... and catches it. I mean it's not a game breaker or anything really amazing, but it is the little details like this that make me love this aspect of the game. In the cold areas he actually tried to warm his arms and ears..... weapons move like they have weight... things like this all pulled together make a great immersion for me. I feel attached to my characters, and am heartbroken I will have to remake them at launch.

Please note that everything posted in this post is OPINION and both subject to change and reflects only my own experience. Feel free to agree or disagree, but don't tell me I am wrong.
...immersive.

Completely agree with the OP. Changed my preorder from Aion to Champions Online. Whew, so glad I didn't waste the cash on this one.
