How bad is Warhammer post your opinions here

Most of you already knew this game has so many bugs, but how bad is bad?

I will post few things are bad enough that you may never found in other games. If Mythic have no clue about the game perhaps they could collect them from here. So please do not post some minor bugs such as poor graphics caused your death or lags or you can't loot a bag things like that.

1. Talisman - the talisman is add-on stats, but if you added on the armors with the stats you already have then it will not work. Although you can see the stats has + 12 (for example) but it will not display on character window. If you added the talisman with the stats not on your armors then you would have extra stats on character window. It supposed to work in all type of talismans but it's so bad to work properly. In addition, why would you spend so much time to make a talisman not able to function properly? This is really bad because the game cheating on you.

2. The map is so bad that is not able to give proper information but wrong information. For example, you are in Empire and when you browsed Dwarf land, you see opponent is attacking a keep or your keep was under attack so you fly to Dwarf land, when you arrived, you don't see the keep is under attack. But guess what, if you go to the keep then you may or may not found the keep is under attack. Furthermore, if you see a keep is blue actually it maybe a red, vice versa. The map is so bad so you are fooling around by this game constantly with wrong information as well as the talisman.

3. The Keep oil position is critical misplaced and it's so bad that tells you that You can't see the target even though you can. Since you can't target the oil so it is so terrible to attack a defended keep like that. And, the gate is so bad even though you have destroyed the door but it just don't open.

4. The action bar is so bad because during the battle, your custom action bars may become default and you won't be able to use other skills in 2nd or 3rd action bar, you have to do the layout design again to get your action bar back.

5. At level 18, the devastator armors may raised one of your skill for additional 2 levels higher but if you died then you lose the 2 levels, you have to un-equip one of the armor then re-equip to get the 2 levels back. It's so bad that you don't know if you really get the 2 levels effects.

    6. Some keeps are badly design. The distance between first door and second door was too short so right after you broke the first door then you could be under attack by Destructions. Not only because of imbalance but also few tanks run in the front being used as AOE bridge to spread damages all around. In the meantime, if the first oil is up then you are dead in the passage. It is IMPOSSIBLE to attack 2nd door. This bad keep design is feature of Dwarf keeps because the designers thinks dwarf are short legs so they made the  distance shorter.

On the Loading screen, you will always notice the game tips:

The office of Warhammer developers has been moved 3.4 times.

Can someone decode what is that means as tip?

My opinion: Warhammer isn't a bad game.  It's got some of the most enjoyable PvP I've played, and some of the most interesting character classes.

It's not perfect.  No MMO is.  But I think Warhammer is a lot of fun.

Hell hath no fury like an MMORPG player scorned.

Gah, you're nitpicking again with a sensationalistic hate troll baiting post... like what's new here?

War is not perfect, just like no mmo is perfect. But it's fun for me. Way more fun than I had in any mmo before. But that's me. I'm probably sick or insane I suppose, according to the general consensus here (100$ mil a month can buy a lot of love). Who cares. I'm enjoying my war.

And btw I do have a list long as my arm with all the gripes I have with the game as well as the obvious things that could be greatly improved with a minimum of effort... and so does everyone else. However the fact that I like it more than any other mmo on the market says more about the current quality of mmo genre in general than the quality of war itself.

What an original concept, yet another thread meant for the haters to use as a breeding ground and nothing more.

Utterly useless, with no actual merit or value whatsoever. Don't feed this troll.

Posts about the flaws of a game are just as valid as posts with the praise of a game. He posted actual thoughts with actual reasons behind it, it's not like he came in here and just said WAR sucks. He posted an actual discussion backed up with his reasons.

Posters need to stop being offended that others do not like the game they like, and realize that everyone has just as much of a right to post. And if posts are done with reasons and thought then it should not matter if they are for or against a game.

That's pretty funny it's not the haters that are replying but the fanboi's been over protective as usual.

yeah, when will we ever learn... just ignore the 20+ threads with psyops "It is a FACT that this game X is garbage" cunningly hidden in the seemingly objective and neutral title. As I said, 100$ mil a month can buy you a lot of love.

Damn, and I swore I'll never read mmorpg.com ever again...

It gets boring too fast. Class imbalances (even among supposedly mirror classes), brainless aoe gameplay, tons of CC, having to grind dungeons 15-30 times to get the last pieces of armor you want, stupid and boring city sieges are not the definition of fun for me. Got 3 rank 40 charactes playing 3 months now, subscription ends on August, not subscribing again. If you want some distraction for 2-3 months it's ok, from what I hear Aion has much more sensible pvp than WAR.

Whatever. You won, 50-cent warrior man (look it up, tho I know you're probably familiar with the term). I won't be visiting this site anymore. Frankly life is too short and potentially sweet to be wasted on "WoW is the BMW" discussions. To each his own.

You need to stop calling people "trolls" and baiting when they are just expressing their personal opinions on why they don't like WAR and how much they think it failed.

That's their opinions which happen to be backed up by hundreds of thousands of dead and expired subscriptions in less than six months from release. If you like it fine. But stop calling people trolls on a third party site who have every right to say whatever they want about this game.

After all, as you've proven since launch practically... opinions can be INCORRECT by a whole hell of a lot and quite often, lol.

If there are too many negative comments here from people giving their honest opinion, perhaps you'd feel more comfortable posting on the official site of WAR where only paying customers can post? I'm sure the mood there is quite happier and more satisfied than any third party site could ever be. Just let people say what they want as they see it to be true.

Well, I tried to re-sub last week just to see how the game was doing after MJ was fired.  That alone was worth the month sub fee.

After reinstalling and resubbing via the website the game still wouldn't let me in, telling me that I had an invalid account.  Even though I had been a beta tester and an early start purchase.  The next day I called customer service to complain.  It's stupid that here I am, a potential customer with money to give, and I am unable to even log onto their game.  I told this to the customer service guy who was VERY cool and helpful.  He basicly said, and I'm paraphrasing here, that it's indeed sad when the customer service department is better than the developers.  How true/sad that is...

I cancelled again.  Good luck ever getting a penny from me again, Mythic.

    "How bad is Warhammer?"

Well it kept me entertained for a little longer than any of the other MMOGs released in the past five years. So I guess it is just a little less bad than all the other games out there.

The Major aspect that made me leave war  (for the moment) was class/mirror inbalance (example sorc and bright wizard imo), and the insane CC and aoe as one stated earlyer. I Really noticed this when I made an alt and played threw T1 and T2 again, it was A LOT of FUN because the CC and AOE was not insanely over whelming...dont get me wrong I dont mind CC or aoe as a whole but when it gets to the point one side can lock you down to where you can take NO action AT ALL got old and to an extent frustrating. and <---- note the first question on CC and what he states >.0.

An-who I DO hope WAR gets the attention it needs to be an even better game, but atm til they fix the CC (my main beef) and touch up the aoe I will be holding off.

P.S. I do agree with the others that this is not a troll but points out some of HIS valid reasons for leaving the game and such.

Bad is subjective.  That's what free trials are for.  Never assume anyone has the same tastes you do or the same tolerances for nuanced things like time sinks, hardcore / casual content, forced grouping / solo mechanics and so forth.

I argue all the time for greater casual content in MMOs, but many people who call themselves casual are quite hardcore in my book and the things they like, I find distasteful despite their self label.  So, take any review with a grain of salt.

With PvE raiding, it has never been a question of being "good enough". I play games to have fun, not to be a simpering toady sitting through hour after hour of mind numbing boredom and fawning over a guild master in the hopes that he will condescend to reward me with shiny bits of loot. But in games where those people get the highest progression, anyone who doesn't do that will just be a moving target for them and I'll be damned if I'm going to pay money for the privilege. - Neanderthal

Warhammer is still the worst game ever. I tried to like it and ended up getting bored. This game will never improve no matter what. Dumb developers.

The first 20 levels are awesome because there is almost no CC.

After that, CC comes out the wazoo, and some classes (BW/Sorc) become insane AoE monsters.  And of course neither side said those two classes were OP.

Combat was slow and clunky from the start.

If you are looking for DAOC 2, this is not the game.  Doesn't make it bad necessarily, but did not meet my expectatoins.

and one other main issue was the fact there was almost no focus on solo play for the most part IMO,yes i know war is RvR/PvP based, but when you are a full time worker and a parent you dont always have the time to put in getting a group together/playing with.lol not to mention again IMO, it was stupid to have a lvl 40 LAIR in a Tier one zone.

I just fired up the game for the first time this quote perfectly echoes my sentiments exactly. I definitely plan on playing this out until I cap a toon but its hard being interested in the RVR when so far its the exact opposide of what I grew to love in DAOC. Instead of getting a force together taking a point of interest and thus provoking the enemy to rush to defend it and letting the good times ensue, it seems in WAR the enemy only show up after you've left and picks on the stragglers. Everyone seems to want to play a completely unbalanced fight so far that I've seen. The game rewards people for only showing up and then leaving, there's no real reason to stick around. Unless it gets different at higher levels I can say that taking somehting then seeing everyone ditch out exactly when the enemy is bound to finally show up got old fast.

It's not as bad as a lot of people say but it's *shrug* worthy after awhile. There are some neat things though that make it worth checking out such as the Public Quests and Book of Knowledge or whatever it was called.

I wouldn't call anything about WAR upfront and honest.  I would use words like "mislead" and "lie" with Paul B and MJ at the lead spewing garbage from their mouths.

I liked that you could apply different colors to your gear.

Unfortunately that's all I ever liked about this game.

The game isn't a complete disaster, they did have some neat ideas like the open warbands and the public quests. But the implementation of the public quests gets old and boring after the first ten levels and so does the pvp scenarios.  That might not sound like a big deal, but seeing how that makes up like 80% of the game it really is a BIG deal.

Warhammer online isn't failing because of a few bugs, it's not even because of the dated graphics or the awful animations. It's because the gameplay, there is no hook in the game. The pve is mindboggingly boring, and the pvp is far from good enough to warrant a monthly fee. If this mmo has a future at all it is as a free to play game. But it seems more likely that EA are getting ready to dismantle Mythic all together,  the whole deal with putting their resources at Biowares disposal seems like a prelude to that.

I cancelled my sub this month.  There is a cap when trying to do a city seige. Put in place because the servers would crash without it. That on top of the fact that I personally do not like the T4 RvR design compared to T1-T3. This was the icing on the cake. T4 is broken.

I really did want to keep playing this game. So much so I had several alts in T3. Such great potential but the game feels unfinished in many ways. As some have said good for 2-3 months.
