Oh wait...This is the same company that told us the Honor system would be in place at release...oops.
How many mmorpgs have you played from launch that had EVERYTHIGN they promised in release? please tell me that.....
World of, WARCRAFT. Bold on the warcraft. You make a game where there are...Oh who knows how many PvP servers, and probably about 100,000 of your paying customers play on them. And you don't add in something as large as the PvP system promised? Battlegrounds/fields (can't remember the exact term), forgivable. But not even the honor system in place?
It was just a marketing lie.
Death is not to fear, for contrary to popular belief, it is not the end, but rather the beginning on the road to eternity.
"Fear not death; for the sooner we die, the longer shall we be immortal."
And yes that's called marketing. They never said WHEN certain stuff would be in they just said it will come eventually. But we are drifting from the topic.
So it seems some abused a way of getting easy xp. Think that's probably the mean reason why they got suspended. And what companies use to test or work on is their choice. Who are we to say make your own test server and do stuff there. I have no doubt that they already have a test server and that the things that are online on the servers atm is just a version where some stuff was included already but not fully done yet. People are just trying to find any excuse to foulname anything these days. The world needs to change... and fast...
Has nothing to do with testing people always find cheats and speed hacks. Its a mmorpg it isnt diablo and 90% of the morons exploiting bugs and using speedhacks are most likly from diablo community Its just a shame ya morons who wanna cheat all the time.Diablo was diffrent it was free too play and they didnt really have a ingame staff.I bet your one of the speed hacker all mad cause you got caught cheating.
This is inevitable in the field of software engineering. You can't test everything. There are limitless possibilities for the presence of a glitch. You're nitpicking at Blizzard for doing what every developers do.
An exploit is always a bug in the code of the game.
Instead of fixing the bugs they ban people who find them and use them.
If most "hardcore" hackers (who did prison for major hacking) are hired by the security business, can exploiters be hired as testers ? of course not, because the cie use free testers and those dont report half of the bugs.
When will devs learn that they shouldnt be using betas and start hiring people to effictively test your games, thats what happen when you would do anything to save money.
Its only a game and people will always cheat, cheating is nothing new (chess 4000 years old... im sure people cheated back then.). Learn to live with it. Anyway with hardcores playing nearly 20/7, using a bot or an exploit will only help you to keep pace.
Exploiters are most of the time explorers. As we travel around the game we find various bugs, I always report those bugs but ill exploit them till they are fixed. The problem is that some of these bugs are very small bugs only a few intelligent gamers may exploit, so the Devs dont care about those bugs.
I really think mmorpgs cie should be forced to change their exploiting policies to something like this :
"If you find a exploitable bug and dont report it you will be banned." Meaning : feel free to exploit the bugs we know and didnt fixed.
If the Devs dont fix the bugs, it means its a feature of the game...
If your game is so easy that a simple macro program can allow you to replace a player by some code then learn to live with it, or learn to use bots. (for those interested : AC tools works with any games).
Instead of having survival of the fittest, in mmorpg we have survival of the players with the most free time (or the less involved in RL..) botting and exploiting allow a new kind of survival : survival of the most intelligent, and I love it :P. I never surpassed the hardcores because I boted and exploited, but i kept up with them. My bot/exploit usage allowed me to PvP, because in any PvP the most hardcore player will always win.
Anyway Im against any form of control over the internet, except when its related to RL fraud or violation of RL laws.

you arent a real mmorpg gamer because its far away from being social and peeps that arent social shouldnt be in any mmorpg ... go and buy a good offline game where you can exploit and cheat as much as you want ... its great that you explore and report the bugs but using them is taking advantage over other players and thus needs to be banned because you are a online criminal !!!
guys stay away from cheats & exploits in a mmorpg it just shows that the game (wow is already ubah easy to play) is to hard for you or atleast it seems like it and you shit completly on all other players when you do it
LOL HempHunter is another proof that botters/exploters are some of the most intelligent players of a game.
We are talking about abusing lines of codes, not related with RL in anyway, why should it be ruled like RL ?
I always find a guild when I play an mmo, im not botting and exploiting all the time, i keep up with the hardcores and play with them.
According to bartles test im : ESA... explorer, socializer achiever.
Ill always be friendly in games except if your chars is in the opposite faction.
LOL im an online criminal... no im not because there is no RL rules for exploiting/botting, im only violating the CoC. Its more like not following the 10 commandments...
Im able to program a bot and the game is too hard for me.... LMAO I have to be a good player and know all the "winning" technique to make a successfull bot.
oh dude know stuff dosent make you smart ... knowing how to use it right makes you smart ! otherwise you are just one of those cracker/cheater/exploiter kiddys (and im talking about your social behavior not your age) that just do shit because they can do it without even thinking about what they really do !
and true it is a game but its a mmorpg where you play with/against other REAL people and when you do/use illegal stuff you hurt the other players that play fair and dont wanna choose the easy and illegal way
and ofcourse you find guilds etc but maybe you should think a bit more about what you can do with your skills and spent the time with some legal stuff ... look at cosmos great tool that everyone likes and really helps all players and not only those wo are lazy or think they need some advantages above the other players that pay the same bucks
ok i never said im smarter then you (how should i anyway i know you from like 10 posts only) i just said using your knowledge wrong turns you from smart to a fool ... and if you really just make the bot for yourself as you claim to keep up with the hardcore players then maybe you should spent the time coding a bot ingame and play your char and the whole excuse to use a bot just to keep up with hardcore players is cheap becuase they get their reward for the time they spent with their chars ... you get the same reward with much lesser time spent again that dosent make you smart just lazy and if you really feel you need to keep up with hardcore players maybe stop playing mmorpgs if you cant play them fair ... btw a question ever heard something about honor ? or having balls
I would put my opinion about this ignorant statement here but, I don't want my mmorpg account status lowered anymore than it already has been all in one fail swoop.
So I will say is.... this opinion is as valid as any other
Im a casual player, i do only use my bot to keep up with the hardcore, I doesnt take 100s of hours to program a bot. Hardcore do spend more time in game, i spend more time in RL. I think its a lot more "honorable" to be more involved in RL then in an alternate world. I play for fun and also find programming bots fun.
ok, well to the botter comment, Why would you want to bot? What is the point... its like paying 15 bucks a month to have someone wipe your ass... its completely pointless. You bought the game so YOU can play it, not so your bot can.

Blizzard is THE most quality gamiing company today, i dont even think there are many that come close to the standards Blizzard sets for themself. If you know a thing about games, you would know this. I dont think any other mmorpg company would've delayed their release for as long as Blizzard had to make sure it was ready. And to those acting like they should've kept testing instead of releasing, speak for yourself especially when alot of people waiting for it, would've purchased it months before it released w/ any premature issues it had Its only the spoiled beta testers that took it for granted, acting like they should've held off for another year, doubt you'd have had that opinion if you didnt get into beta.
Now lets talk about accessing zones that arent intended to be accessed and players being punished for it. Some of you are either the type that does fish for exploits and are defending how you go about looking for ways to exploit the system, or your just extremely foolish to actually believe so many innocent people are accessing these zones and getting banned. You have to realize cheaters ALWAYS will claim their innocense to the end, this is something i've learned in every mmorpg i played. It was especially bad in UO, when i knew a guild was mass duping on my server, and OSI ended up mass banning them. People didnt even want handouts from anyone of shady character, and it stopped the rampant cheating that was going on all over the place. The duping at one point was out of control, everyone was using a known dupe, but after the incident nobody i knew was even duping anymore.
What i cant stand are the type of players that try their best to exploit the system. They fish for ways to get where their not supposed to be, which also occured in UO using ghosst form. These are the type of people i'd rather have banned, nor do i have any sympathy for them crying foul over acting like they had no clue they were in a zone they werent supposed to be in, when its blatantly obvious. At the very least it teaches them a lesson to quit fishing for ways to exploit or be in places they know they shouldnt. I mean theres exploring the game world, but when your using 'tricks' to get by certain buffers, these people know exactly what their doing.
