Start the NCLauncher,  Right click aion game from the list and select "repair" (consistency test).  When that is done make sure you defrag your harddrives.  Update your cards drivers.

You should be able to get to the login screen atleast.

Ram would be your problem bud. If you have Ventrillo message me on here and I May be able to help you clear some of your computer up so you wout have this problem.

It really also just depends if how much we free up will even help though. 2gb of ram is'nt much nowadays.

Uhm, you run Dx10 with a 7300 GT card?

The 7300 only supports 9.0 (Source : Nvivias homepage) and can it even run Aion at all?

My guess is that it is time to get a new GFX card, the 7300 is what, 8 years old? And it was a cheap crap card even when it released.

Is anyone here able to run Aion with a card like that? The absolut minimum reqs is a 6600GT but that card is actually faster than the 7300 card even if the 7300 is newer.

My advice: Get a new GFX card. However if you computer have a AGP port you need a totaly new computer. Computer don't age well and anything older than 5 years is junk and can not run many games even at lowest settings. The only AGP card I know of that should be able to run Aion is the 7900,GT, even though a 7800 might be possible too.

Yea 2 gb's of ram running vista is kinda low.

2gb's with XP is no problem but not with vista.

He should downgrade to DX9 and then try it.

This shouldn't really be the issue. any 32-bit OS will generally only utilize 2.5-3.5 gigs of ram max anyway no matter how much hardware you have (until some beautiful windows 7 versions change that). As long as he's not running a million progs he should be ok. Like others I would say the culprit is the video card.

could'nt it also be, he may be running too many programs in the task manager that he could clear up before he gose out to get a video card? He should try everything before spending money.

I do agree the video card is old. but Out of all the computers i worked with. Vista often sometimes fails at using ram to its best. i've seen some vista's use 3gb just to run...and there was nothing useing that much and every programed opened he would get blue screen. Blue screen yes is video card or Ram. If you give yourself more ram by clearing up what programs you have running. This might help without spending money.

Spending money instead of getting more ram, a Video card would be your 1st choice...if still a blue screen..Ram your second choice. With Intel, stick with nvidia gfx cards. They would better with them as Ati is with Amd cores.

Your video card isn't good enough I'm guessing, the 7300 is a rather old card.

Your card could actually be fried already. All in all, I'd look at upgrading.

The issue is a Blue Screen so the normal issues I could agree with is 1)Your graphics card although above requirements via their listing is horrible and you need to replace it, 2) That 2gig of ram is useless for video gaming. Your not on XP buddy, Vista requires 2gigs to do normal processing let alone gaming, and 3) DX9 is required, but DX10 is the better update and if your using Vista you should have it. DX9-DX10 was one of the biggest things about XP-Vista. It will be very different than DX10-DX11 on Vista-Win7 because DX11 doesn't offer much more. I would say the solution is get a viable gaming machine and then complain. There are HP bundles for 679$ with a better graphics card, ram, harddrive, and they're wireless. Not to mention they come along with a 512mb dedicated Graphics card. If your using a laptop that is still incredibly low. I'd recommend another laptop. Those will cost you about 800$ if you do your shopping right. With alot of companies offering the AMD/ATI Radeon comboed laptops that cost only 800$ with 1gig of GDDR3 and 4gig of DDR3 you really can't go wrong. That's the only answer I have for you. In lay terms your software doesn't want your hardware, because your hardware sucks.

Is this game still running with Gameguard? If it is...I would put my money on that being the issue. I've had this issue several times with vista and GG. I know many will say ooo...not GAMEGUARD.

I run on vista as well. 4gig of ram, duo core 2.7ghz, Geforce 8800 GTS and dx 10. I can run pretty much any MMO on max, but when it comes to a game with Gameguard...constant crashes.

Yeah GameGuard or FailGuard would also be my guess.

    Deactivate your Firewall

Deactvate all Network or Hardware Monitor Software

    Deactivate Your AntiVirus Software

or deactivate GameGuard -  google and fyyre is your friend here

Ive been on this problem for 4 days now, evertime it loaded my comp would close the game down!  You could try this, but i warn you it could backfire on you if you dont do it right.

If your good with files ?

    (1) First you must know were Aion was loaded in to a file, reason for this is so you can reload the game, back up after you remove it from the comp.

    (2) After you unstalled the game.

    (3)  Click start tab- Then click Computer tap icon for hard drive (C:) Open it go to Program files There you make a New Folder.

    (4) I made the name in all caps AION that way i know it was my file i had made.

    (5) now your ready to install the game from the load you copy from the net.

    (6) After you get ask were to place this file, do the advanced set up were you tell the game were it loads, so your by passing were it makes its own folder. Then it will ask you were you want it, so it will allow you to be able to look it up.

    (7) After that it will patch and you should be set..

You may ask why i did this way ?   Reason is my comp for some odd reason after loading and patching, just could not find the folder or the Gamegard.

If all this sounds crazy to you ? Well i really don't mind since im able to load and my windows.

    Hang in there!

OP's problem was clearly hardware and the version of dx running. The ones that blamed GG for it simply proved what I have been saying over and over again on the forums.

Easy to find a scape goat that have bad track record, but it won't solve any problems and only spread more false rumors.

download WhoCrashed 1.01. That helped me a lot. I got this problem and I solved it by installing SP2.

So if I may ask, what SP you running?

  • KujiruKujiru Member Posts: 13

Sorry for double posting but here's the link

    http://www.resplendence.com/whocrashed

That would tell you what crashed you. If you're getting apc something. Just install SP2
