I think the strong success of this game in Korea shows that it will have at the very least a stable player base over here.

As for Tabula Rasa, it had several flaws at release:

    1. Instances sucked, and they had no memorable features.
    2. Grouping wasn't really encouraged, which hurt the social aspect of the game.
    3. There was very little customizability of your character.  Everyone had the same armor with different paint.
    4. They didn't even have missions set up past level 30, instances at that point were unfinished as well, so basically all you could do was grind out mobs.
    5. No economy to speak of, no trade channel or auction house.
    6. Bottom line: It was an unfinished game, and should have been released after these and other issues were addressed.

While people say, "It's just another Asian grinder" how is any other popular MMO not a grinder at some point?  In MMO's you either grind it out by yourself (which some people actually find relaxing, like playing solitaire), or you find a group of people you enjoy playing with to help fill the gaps in action.  WoW is a grind, EvE is a grind, City of Heroes/Villains is a grind, WAR is a grind, but by being multifacited, that is having a good trade system in place, crafting, PvP, missions, etc, these games had upsides that made them work.

Aion appears to have things under control thus far, so I imagine NCSoft will not be forced to drop it.

Pre-BC WoW was great, now it sucks. Live with it.
