Must be gaining a ton of subs....
I went to try to find Aion last night at a few places. Everywhere I went they were sold out and everyone told me the same thing. They haven't seen a crush on a PC game like this for years. Not that I put too much emphasis on Xfire but Aion this morning is almost at 50% of WoW numbers and I bet it climbs much higher. I wonder how many millions of worldwide subs Aion took from WoW. Those people didn't just magically appear to play Aion. Someone lost subs and I bet its mostly WoW.

Boxes sold != subscriptions. Expect similar drop after first month as we have seen with AOC, Warhammer etc..
Thats why they refuse to add more servers - NCsoft expects this as well.

Aye exactly, just wait a month after the one month of free time expires, and see how many stays and how many resubb. Then they can start looking to add aditional servers if needed.
Most stores will not have then in stock until Friday. I know several that recieved shipments early, and sold out... because they were the only people with them in stock.

I'm not one, but I am willing to bet they don't really care. They play the game they have fun in. They're used to the trolls by now. They've had to listen to the trolls tell them how their game has failed for years now. The haters probably talk about WoW more than WoW fanboi's do.

lol 200k subs... and that Aion worldwide will only have 400k subs tops. Despite the fact that it already has +/- 4 million subs in Asia already... Got to love their dedication. These guys would become suicide bombers for Blizzard if blizz was like "we need to kill Ncsoft! They hurting the world.........of warcarft"

I wouldn't say they are gaining a lot of sub, my guess they most likely didn't print enough boxes on purpose for same reason they where cheap ass with servers. To try to keep balance up.
They did a great job on that launch overall compared to every recent MMo.

Go play warhammer then and see how they should have done the same method of aion an overpopulation 70% to 30% (Or something near).
The majority of people that I know that play WoW aren't gamers per se, just average people.
They could give two flying donkeys about Aion.

Most game stores around where I live (about 250k pop.) don't really carry jack for PC games in the first place. So yeah they had a run on the 10 or 20 boxes they had..wooo.

Someone should do a study on the release cycle.
Overhyping, beta, release, decline, sustain, etc.
I have no ideah what will happen to AION, but it is apparent that WOW is dieing. I loved wow. Subs are droping (slowly). it will take years, but it is on it's way out. Sad times. Great game.
Age catches up to all games. WOW is no exception. Poor WOW....

they did sell over 400k in preorder sales here in the usa an still people are waiting in line in the stores for the game could you just picture how many subs they got around the world millions i bet

In my opinion, who cares??? I'm getting really tired of people in game in general chat comparing WoW and talking about Wow... If I wanted to talk about WoW I'd go to a forum. I'm not a WoW hater I just think this is our game, it has nothing to do with WoW, so why spam general talk about it. I have no interest in WoW whatsoever and don't care if it fails or overturns the world. It would just be nice for once to log into a new MMO and not have it compared to WoW. Rant over!

AION will cotinue to gain subs I think .... as long as NC Soft straitens up and flies right. The game is polished and good. the issues are mostly non game issues. Installing, wait time, downloading, information bases, and so on

yeah most of us don't give 2 s**ts about WoW anymore but you have those religious zealots constantly comparing everything to their god. WoW to them is god, Blizzard is the church and their religion is more fucked up than radical Islam. (no offence to those who are islamic, only the "radicals") But hell in all honesty you can even use the Roman Catholic church, I'm Catholic (although I care little about religion) and yet we know how F'ed up the Roman church is...ok enough of that crap.... anyway >>
It's just sad tthat these people, who give up their social lives, family's, jobs, and w/e else we normal gamers and People enjoy to play this game 24/7. God forbid any of us enjoy another game before the zealots come out from their holy monastery (their parents basement) to try to convert us back to WoW, or to WoW.
Really, its just too funny how they can't leave us be.

In fact, we are happy to confirm we have increased our server caps and are adding an additional server in both North America and Europe by this weekend, and we will continue to evaluate adding additional servers.
Get some facts before posting. :-)

Sell it on playerauctions or something. Not sure if you can sell it on EBAY... if so the hellz Yeah... i would... if you don't want to play it that is.... it's an awesome game.
