NA's launch has gone fine, you have loads of servers. in the UK you cant even join a queue, if you do its 2 hours minimum... Its easy to say be patient if you have no issues... Everyone in the EU paid their money same as you.
UK doesn't have any less servers than NA.
Same number of servers in Europe, even including the new ones. And before you start telling us that NA is only US and Canada, I believe we also host some Oceanic and many Central and South American players. So although our servers aren't split by language, we still have many non-English speakers using certain servers.
I know that this is painful. I don't have any way to fix it. All that we're trying to say is that we had the same problem, and after less than a week it has almost gone away.
4th day of official release and I still can't join the game without hours of queues. Today I can't even join the game, it blocks players from joining, you can't access the servers anymore....the hell............... They can't even reply to us or my post on the official forums since they don't know how to access the forums. Apparently NCsoft lost access to their own forums. People want a solution or refunds, 60 euros for a game you can't even play and you don't even respond????
lol, I like that post, " Even Darkfall was better than this.........".
Every single UK server is hours and hours and hours of waiting? Or is this just more crying about picking the servers that everyone and their brother picked?
You can't expect so many people to log onto a single server. You could build a super computer for 500 billion dollars (lol) and it still couldn't hold enough people. The technology just isn't there for such a massive log on. They could have open log ons with no cap, but then you'd have servers crashing (like WoW did, but they just had the cap too high). My advice to you, is just be patient. Much like when WoW launched, it'll take them a month or 3 to get things straightened out.
Please just stay OUT OF THE GAME!!!! Gees..... Some old complaint and whining and not even half way close to the truth. Let me say this again.
PLEASE JUST QUIT PLAYING THIS GAME. NO ONE IS FORCING YOU TO PLAY. THIS IS GAME HAS BEEN OUT IN ASIA SO PEOPLE SHOULD KNOW WHAT TO EXCEPT.
The most stupid thing is "Game should launch with flaws, so players can dream the potential of the game." OMG! OMG! This is just .... BS...... Don't you ever hear of "EXPANSION"???
I see what you did there, you want many people to quit so you can finally get in the game. I WON"T DO IT!!! ><

Did you even read what I said? I did say that NA had problems with server queues when the game was first released. When the headstart started , the first time I got to play, I had to wait in a 2 hour queue. The few days following that, everytime I played I had to wait in a 2-3 hour queue minimum during peak hours. Now, a week has gone by and the server queues are not bad at all, 20 minutes is the longest I've waited now. Like I said before, be patient, I'm sure NCSoft will fix the problems.
sure is, thats why people are complaining they can't get in
exactly -- if it wasnt good I wouldnt be sitting in the middle of a 1 hour cue on a Sunday night -- I am willing to deal with this initially for the sake of having FULL -- well balanced servers. PvP game, balanced servers are a must.
I'vew been playing for baout 5 days now and have never had to wait to log onto a server. What are you gusy doing?
lol -- dude what are you talking about ? -- I am sitting in the middle of an hour cue at 10:20 pm on a Sunday night. The cues exist. I am fine with it as it means I have a popular game world to play in and NCsoft wants full balanced servers, but dont act like this isnt real.
The sad thing is, something as small as this will probably be enough to stunt Aion's potential growth in half. A perfect example of the fact that if an MMO doesn't launch with absolutely NO FLAWS, WHATSOEVER, it'll have little chance of gaining subs over half a million.
What on earth is your 'fact' based on?
-- Whammy - a 64x64 miniRPG - RPG Quiz - can you get all 25 right? - FPS Quiz - how well do you know your shooters?
Not shure how NCSoft will get Aion to be #2 after WoW if they can't even handle close to 400.000 players. Taking the money of 400k preorders and not willing to provide enough slots, but rather wait for players (which were good enough to pay in first place) to competely quit Aion to solve the capacity problems.
I'd have thought that unless they can sort out server queues you'd see a large drop in the numbers playing now at launch after a month or two.
Thats what I've been saying. Before anyone starts up the victory parade, lets see what their subs are two to three months after launch. If they have a massive fall off after the first month or two, that will be the indication that NCsoft made several serious mistakes. It wouldn't be the first Asian game to do well in Asia, but nothing like those numbers in the west.
Yes, patience IS a virtue. Its pretty much lost on all too many. As for the second, I have to disagree. Complaining/"whining" if enough people do it, does result in change. Or the people walk. There are many, MANY other games to play these days.

Sorry, but that is just wrong - utter bollocks in fact. For the EU servers, a couple (including Spatalos and the one beginning with P that I can't be arsed to look up atm) were queued off the scale. Other EU English servers though weren't. On headstart day, I too 1 look at the 4 hour queues, and then simply rerolled on those other servers. I've hardly ever had a queue since - and when I have (twice I think in over a week of playing) they've been for about 10-20 minutes. So, it's quite easy. Can't get on Spatalos - then roll somewhere else. But please don't say that "in the UK you cant even join a queue" because then you'd be flat out wrong.

I'm happy as hell to see some of these people getting mad and threatening to leave. Its been a WHOLE WEEK! Oh please people, yes you have queues, yes its effecting YOU, "OMFG I can't play on the server I want to when I want to". Yeah, yeah, yeah. I hear ya. Gonna take your money back are ya? Well since you didn't actually pay for the 1st month your threat carries about 0% weight behind it.
Sorry if I sound like I dont care if you guys walk, truth is I dont. I have NO QUEUE - EVER. I made my choice to move to a less populated server/faction - you didn't - so sit in queue and shut up already. Hey look at it this way will ya, you get off work and have 4 hours to go out to diner with your girl. First place you stop has a 3 hour waiting list to get a table. If you stay there you CHOOSE to waste 3 of you 4 hours just to get in the door. YOUR choice, YOU make it. But, if you want to go to a differnet place you can get a table right that minute, eat, and get some alone time afterwards. Me, I'll take the alone time afterwards, you can wait for your 'special diner experience'. Just do the rest of us a favor and either walk or keep it to yourself, we didn't make you choose what you chose. Personally I'm getting tired of having to accommidate the whinings of the me, me, I, I crowd that thinks the world is owed to them, its not.

I've ranted enough about this though (am also awaiting a reply from NCsoft), am leaving Aion alone until nearer the end of my 'free-month' and will decide then if it's in a good enough state to play...

And i already rerolled once, now am gonna try that 'not playing for a while' solution...

They seem to be adding new servers.

Well Bastii that's what you get for wanting NCSoft to get sued...
Ah karma is wonderful.. I sincerely hope you enjoy the queue time.
Bastii didn't you want NCSoft to get sued? You know the tinfoil hat thread? I find it funny that you can't play..
Really funny actually... I think I may have to reconsider there being a higher power. Seriously enjoy the queue.
