Who fancies a massive law suit?

Why are you trying to get a refund?

Can't play the game. I feel robbed.

Now this 'can't play game', is that a can't play game on the server/faction I want type, or is it I can't play ever on any server/faction/time of day? You are aware you can't win a lawsuit if you CAN actually play it, just not when or how you want to? All they promiss is you can. If they advertise that you can play it on a Mac, and you find out you can't, then you might have something. Otherwise, yeah good luck there.

(DISCLAIMER - The use of the word YOU in the above post is not directed at any one person in particular, but towards those who fall into the category itself - there is no personal attack here, neither intentional nor implied.)

I havent been able to play much either. Theres always an hour queue, and I really dont feel like sitting there waiting that long. I know that I won't get a refund. I'm just going to eat it and try to pick up Fallen Earth instead. Another big disappointing year in this genre.

Please drag steam to court for this, I can easy see the outcome here.

I don't understand why people thinks it is ok to use the chargeback function as a "free" trial of the game. If you are not willing to risk loosing money on a game wait for free trials. I can understand people who use chgargeback when they buy something and gets a totaly opposite product then promised. But that is not the case with Aion. This is imo nothing but a scam. If you buy a car and wreck it the first week in a accident, do you think any company would give you a refund on the car and pat you on the back?

Playing: Battlefield - Bad company (Xbox360) Arma2, DFO (PC)
    On my radar: TSW, MO
MMO's played: SWG (pre cu/cu), WoW, AoC, WAR, DFO, Planetside
MMO's that I have tested: Lotro, L2, Aion, Ryzom

I feel you, but isn't here a lesson to learn?

Don't rush into launch if you can't take the queues and instability. I don't have any statistics to prove this, but there hasn't been a single MMO launch that didn't have hicups in some extent.

To beat the dead horse, i think NCSoft took the right path here and didn't add servers to feed the need at the launch. As we learned form WAR it just boils down to unviable servers and server merges after the 1st period is over. I'm confident that this way the game will sustain a healthy population and enter the growth position in 3 months from launch instead of decline like other latest games launched.

BTW, when I enter the queue I notice the estimated queue time and go do something else. Be it walking the dogs, playing the guitar or just browsing the web. No need to watch the water boil...

    Lawsuit on what grounds?

You had plenty of time to try the game before you bought it, so you knew what you were getting into.

    But Pyro, there were queues!

There were queues on SOME servers, but not on EVERY server. If there were servers you could play on then NCSoft is in the clear. Best of luck with your lawsuit sport.
