Just an FYI, I had the scan part that kept hanging up on me , no mateer what I did. I happened upon a post about internet explorer 8, which I have, I switched to compatability mode, restarted IE, and the scan worked fine and now it is successfully completed. Hope this helps someone
Nope. I guess it was just luck for you. Oh well... I am stuck in the endless "agree to terms" too.
I creat an acount and everytime i try to continue with the part where i sign up for the beta i get kicked back to the form to create an acount again. It isn't saving my acount name or anything i do. Guess I will have to try tomorrow when i wake up.
its worse then that, it will lock out your display name and kick you back to the start. I've lost 2 username options already.
I was finally able to sign up! I was having the same problems every one else was reporting.
It seemed to me that, even though it says only certain fields are required, it let me proceed when I entered something in EVERY field. This includes Address 2 and additional phone. One note though, it did make me do the system scan twice for some reason. The second time it accepted it though.
Anyway, this is how I got signed up. Good luck to everyone else!

Nope. Doesn't work either.
My guess it, it has nothing to do with changes of setting or procedures whatsoever.

First it didn't worked for me, just get stucked with accept terms every time.
But I clicked on "My Account" management and scrolled down. There is a button called Update. (Next to System Specs and above Contact Information) I pressed the button (in IE Compatability mode) and yeah it worked for me!
Ok, it seems to not want me to sign up... I check the agree box on first page.... fill out info on second page, and when I click submit it brings me back to the first page saying I must agree to the terms...wtf?
This is exactly what happens to me.
Perhaps a little melodramatic here, but if they can't even get a simple web form to work it doesn't inspire too much faith I'm sorry to say.
*edit* I just got this in my email 4 times;

Hey folks, I encountered two of the problems listed above and fixed them both:
If you're stuck in the endless loop of accepting the terms and entering personal information, your cookies aren't lasting. I went into Firefox's settings and changed the "keep cookies until" option from "they expire" to "I close Firefox." That fixed it. The website, for some reason, sets your cookies to expire after like five minutes.
As for the scan, I could not for the life of me get it to work in Firefox, but IE does it just fine. I think. It's still going and it's been ten minutes.
Kind of funny everyone getting excited about a beta that is probably months if not longer in the future. This game won't be out before late 2010, if not later. I hope they don't rush it.
I guess this is almost BioWare watching to see how the signup goes. There are so many whiners blaming the game on the site failures and the hassle to actually sign-up. And yet it's the whiners BioWare DOESN'T want. This beta is GOING to have nasty bugs that need reporting and a bunch of trouble with signing in, ect. Like the GameGuard bug with the Aion open beta. Patience is going to be key. Testers need to critic the game fairly, and not be retarded and cry cause it isn't like WoW or something else. That's what I saw in the Aion pre-selection. I can only hope the whiners from SWG don't cause too much of a commotion when they discover that SWTOR is NOT SWG's twin. This guy I know is constantly freaking over the fact that SWTOR isn't going to be like SWG or make up for the changes that occured in 2003(?). Regardless, I'm so excited for this game and you can bet I'm pre-ordering this thing the SECOND it's available for pre-order!

I can't get their stupid beta sign-up form to work in either IE 8 or Firefox....
Even after turning on Compatibility mode in IE 8 and still doesn't work.... fun fun... lol

There was no talk of a system scan or whatever.... Very odd. My account hasn't been updated at all according to the "My Account" page.

Well if this sign up is any sign of how the beta and release will go all I can say is let the crying begin LOL
Assassin's like to do it in the dark and from behind.
