I've seen a lot of threads around here, and many other forums that show people who are looking for a new MMO. While some people may be happy playing the one they are currently playing, there are a lot of people (so it seems) who are looking for something new, but are having no luck. I know I am definitely one of those people. Right now I've settled in on an MMO, but I could definitely see myself being pulled away if something new and REALLY astounding came out.
This brings me to my point. It seems there are a lot of MMO "drifters" out there. People who are semi-content, but are not hooked anymore - whether it was once to WoW, FFXI, EQs, etc. All it would take is one company who doesn't have their head up their ass to pull off something that could compete. While it isn't expected to take an entire userbase of a game like WoW, for example, we just need something new and amazing, and it would definitely catch on after time. Remember, WoW didn't start off with 12+ million players.
So, this allows me to ask you guys if you are currently happy in an MMO and see yourself playing it for a long time, or could see yourself being pulled to a new MMO? What would you like to see in a new MMO if you are one of those people?
I'm putting in another poll (I love polls). I think it allows people who don't want to actually reply to voice their opinion quickly. However, feel free to post.

Im done with FFXI and now am just waiting on FFXIV. If that turns out to suck then... well Ima just stick with FPS's until something AMAZING comes out.
Right now I play on MWO. Just to kill my time.
But i would like to say Magic World Online2 is shocking.
You could check the grahpics on utube
Wondering when it comes out, i would like to try it.
Currently play Eve and propably will continue playing it until SWTOR comes out. I have huge confidence that Bioware's debut to this genre will be adequate at least. After I've beaten it - yes, beaten it - I'll be looking for a new game unless GW2 comes out. Maybe there'll be time for MO if it turns out to be good - and that is a big if. I might also checkout Global Agenda aswell. Suffice to say I'll quit Eve as soon as something even remotely worthwhile comes out.

Not really waiting but I am rather interested to see how GW2, Earthrise and TOR end up.
Atm I'm playing Eve and subing on and off to Ryzom, DF and FE.
PLaying: EvE, Ryzom
Waiting For: Earthrise, Perpetuum
None look really interesting, at the moment, aside from STO. The genre is really interesting to watch from the sidelines, though, in the zoologist kind of way.
I hate WoW because it made my plush hamster kill himself, created twin clones of Hitler, punched Superboy Prime in reality, stared my dog down, spoiled my grandmother, assimilated me into the Borg, then made me into a real boy, just to make me a woman again.
I'm currently new to the whole online gaming scene, so I can't say as I am fed up with my current MMO but I also know that I tend to look at games that intrest me and that I can be quite fickle about what I play. I currently started GW1 but I am looking forward to GW2 and have seen several others that appeal to me visually in some way that I could see myself trying them under free trails if available. Coming from someone who has always been console based RPG's I find endless possibilities.
Today is the first day of the rest of your life.
Playing Aion while waiting on Tera, Guild Wars 2 and Global Agenda.
Angel Desentsu is a great manga lol
After wasting hundreds of dollars on new mmorpgs over the last two years that were huge dissapointments, I finally gave up and went back to playing the old mmorpgs. At least I know they are good. I can deal with subpar graphics if the gameplay is good.
I'm currently playing UO again and checking out the new expansion.
Currently Playing: DAOC Uthgard
Previously Played: UO, DAOC, Shadowbane, AC2, SWG, Horizons, COX, WOW, EQ2, LOTRO, AOC, WAR, Vanguard, Rift, SWTOR, ESO, GW2.
I am playing EQ2 now but it is starting to feel somewhat boring now.
Waiting for TOR, GW2 and WoDO
I am waiting on Marvel Universe Online and Star Trek Online. I am currently playing Champions Online which I like very much.
I am hoping to one day to be able to play a WoD MMO but by the time it comes out it will probably be played in virtual reality.
Currently playing WOW and WAR, just bought FE, but eagerly awaiting FFXIV and GW2.
see the sing. =p
for those who like a cool RPG i suggest get urself RISEN out october 2, a very nice gmae with gameplay of gothic 3. control a bit dull at the beggining but it gives u hope if mmorpgs can get near close of it
now: GW2 (11 80s).
Dark Souls 2.
future: Mount&Blade 2 BannerLord.
"Bro, do your even fractal?"
Recommends: Guild Wars 2, Dark Souls, Mount&Blade: Warband, Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning.
APB has always been on my radar, recently its sky rocketed and I cant get excited about anything else (bar SWTOR).
So you're saying that while Risen does have bad controls in single player game standards, it still is far better than in mmos' of today. I disproof this by giving an exaxmple: DDO, AoC etc.

Finished with FFXI indefinately, still play few others just to waste time.
Looking forward to trying SWTOR, TERA, an possibly FF14.
Lots of possible games I am waiting for right now, TOR, STO, GW2, and FFIX. I have to decide on one of them when they get closer to launch based on which one seems to be the most polished. TOR does seem to be my first choice right now though, but its lead is slim at best compaired to the others. Just hope one really stands out to help make my final choice easier though.
At this point I'm the type of player who's the butt of many insults here.... I was introduced to Warcraft 2 by a friend and naturally progressed forwards to WoW, so that was my first MMORPG. That kept my attention for 3-4 years or so, before I left it for WAR and AoC, both of which I quit. Obviously, there were reasons why I quit these MMO's, and know that any desire of mine to return is just misguided nostalgia.
I'm waiting for a new MMO because I'm apparently an MMO noob and would not be able to truly appreciate the good ones of the past as they are out-dated graphically and conceptually with what there is now. I realize that if you played games like EVE and all that in the past why you have great reason to go back now, as you probably remember having good times with it in the past and still find it fun, but I tried the demo and couldn't get into it.
I'd really like to have a new MMO cause I feel rather empty without one. MMO's are a huge social environment where your life has purpose and you're working towards defined goals... they were great. I hope a good one turns up soon.

I'm waiting on World of Darkness, but keeping my eye on many others and am currently playing Champions and contemplating trying Fallen Earth. So far eq2 is the best mmo i have played.
You could try LOTRO or EQ2 while you wait. Both are superior to WOW imo. Im looking forward to STO but ive learned two things about upcoming MMO's.
1. Dont be over optomistic.
2. See for yourself, dont believe the hype or the doom and gloomers.
I'm pretty comfy on darkfall right now but I'm looking forward to DC universe and STO.
Polls pigeon hole people into a description or reply that you see fit. I'm not desperate for anything, much less an MMO, but I am looking forward to Mortal Online and SWTOR. Until then, I have single player games to play.
Current MMO's are old, broken, or failures of a game. So yes, I'm looking for something new, and will buy that something when it releases. I was hoping AION, Champions, or Fallen Earth would do the trick, but they all sucked for one reason or another.

I probably should try LOTRO. Being an MMO player it's basically a given that at some point I've gotten into LOTR at some point. I guess I can give it a shot.

Playing Aion atm. it's pretty good IMO but like a lot of us here on the forums I too would like to play something awsome.
I tried AION and it didn't do it for me. I recall running around Mulgore in WoW, the first zone, and it was breathtaking. I've been through multiple areas as both races in AION and it's just so generic and boring. To me.
