How is this possible?

SlytheSlythe Member UncommonPosts: 952

After looking at the statistics for all the EQ2 players, I have a question..How is it possible that some people have over 100,000 kills for every 1 death? Now its not the kill/death ratio that concerns me, but the total amount of npc's that some people have killed.

Some have killed over 100,000 NPC's already, and the game has been out for what, 70-75 days? So that would be 1500 kills or more a day, without dying mind you. Is it just me or does anyone else see how this is kind of impossible, taking some considerations into factor (LFG, eating, sleeping, running around for quests, etc) . Whats going on here, or am I the one that just kills stuff a LOT slower than everyone else?

LOL I'm like you, I have yet to get a character past level 20. If you look at the firsts though you'll notice some people got to level 20 in a little over 24 hours after the game came out. Some people just know how to maximize thier XP to Time ratio I guess.

all they have to do is...level up, then go back to a newb area and kill stuff over and over...sounds weird but if your crazy and/or obsessed i guess you would do it.

You could sit on the newbie island and jack this up like that REALLY easily. I think greys and such count toward the kill ratio so you could basically sit somewhere where there's a fast spawn of greys and roll them. Some people are all about statistics and it makes the feel better to have insane ratio's like that.

The other option is, it's a dev who'd testing things.

You can get powerful enough that you can go back to one of the less populated newbie zones (like the spawl) and run around 1-hitting all the grey stuff. It doesn't actually take that much time and you can rack up the npc kills. However, it's almost entirely worthless towards the advancement of your character, so it's entirely for that kills/deaths rank. Which kinda makes that rank worthless, except for your own listing.

Sounds like a player justs want the top rank. Most likely a caster with AOE that farms junk loot from grey mobs. Yes, grey mobs drop junk.
