wanna test out darkfall ? do it now!
they did a decrease on the price of the client / 6 month subscription with the transfers and with the patch coming up this is the right time to do it! 
for those who quit long ago :
- chaos chests are a nice thing for when u go exploring
- community actually improved alot and is very newbie friendly (we all want a darkfall world full of people hehe)
- for new players both NA1 and EU1 have the clans named "NEW" if its ure first time in darkfall give a pm to their sg or any other high ranking member
- monsters hp got fixed pritty well i've bin playing 4 months now and must say that every mobs hp is pritty good balanced , still a few mobs could use improving (like devils should drop more >.>) but for the rest its very good :P , (ofcourse darkfalls ai system is a bit complicated and all and some mobs are still buggable but i can proudly say i've earned over 100K fairly just by kiting mobs with archery)
- the grind has bin reduced MAJORLY !
- the siege system is gonna get a revamp soon
- magic will get a nerfing and archery/melee a boost
- and last but not least they will also focus on naval combat and the likes in the expansion! 
- they have started the "dynamic lore system" long storry short here , what u lads do changes how the lore will end up (very intresting since we have 2 worlds and since both worlds will respond differently the worlds will end up differently in the end >:O! )
ofcourse darkfall aint the perfect game
but if u like pvp
like exploring a world so big u'll never have seen it all
like having the sandbox efect
give darkfall a try (again for some =p)
- dont be scared by loosing gear , after playing for 2 weeks i had 20 spare sets of bone in my bank already haha
last but not least (imo) is the adrenaline factor , no other game out there can make ure blood pump so fast when u "nearly die" or just killed a dude with some good gear , try it out u wont be disapointed
dont try it out for an hour , a day , give it a week , join a guild , try joining another guild if u dont like that guild notice how U can help change DARKFALL

Go look back at the post of many members here, how many of them revoke their darkfall sub without much trouble. Do you think that happens to be a coincidence? Taking an indirect inference, with so many members here or on DF boards complaining about double charges and triple charges, and all bringing the issues to their banks, will banks be stupid enough not to notice.

If they are in desperate need of money they wouldn't have given free character transfers and two free expansions... Why would a game on the rise be "desperate"?

Haha, he was just another troll, so I reported him too. I have no clue why some would make these claims though. We have had this game running for nine months, and AV is clean as a baby. The game is working fine, the billing is fine and AV holds what they promise regarding US transfers.
And yes, if you are bored of the normal mmo, you should try Darkfall. It's different, and you'll have a hard time going back to the normal wow clone.

What has Darkfall as an asset that can charge? Seriously? They already charged people for server transfer, which technically, is just opening another server. No game on earth charge people when a new server is available, and when all evidence indicates that the second server is actually run by AV itself. Is that not desperate enough?
As for reporting me, big deal. Will I lose my job? Or take a dent in my payscale? You guys have nothing better to present and resort to shutting down different views so as to maintain a monopoly in presentation. Nice try.
Fact is, this game is hanging on life support, with no player base and a huge debt to service. Try to refute that. Anything else are just cosmetics, as survival of business is very simple stone cold reality. If you can't pay your bills, goodbye.

You actually proved I am right. Blizzard charged you if you want to transfer a character from server A to server B. But its free for you to create multiple characters on multiple servers within the same zone (US/Euro/Taiwan/ and so on).
Darkfall charges you if you want to create a new character on the second server. The second server AV pretended to be owned by another corporation, but billing addresses and everything points to the fact that AV or Tasos are the recipient of the money.
And the Darkfall drama continues, was getting bored with the other posts.
With all the heated debate this game aggravates. I would think they would have released a free trial of some form by now, at least buddy keys. You know to prove the bad press and word of mouth that is out there wrong. With how it stands (no trial) you can not help but believe the stuff you read.

First if you failed to put up an argument you do not need to use degradation words and insults. I know you reported me, I won't report you. Don't worry.
Second, you proved I am right again. Blizz clearly statedd that EU, US, Taiwan, Russia markets are different business. It is clearly stated. Yet even within US you have hundreds of servers. With one US account, you can elect to have characters created on any of the hundred of servers. All servers in the US zone are managed by 1 company with a business contract.
The so called EU server or US server of Darkfall are owned by the same business operator, or at least, AV failed to demonstrate beyond doubts that there are separate business operators owning the rights to run them. Sorry, that is bad news, as AV clearly try to present to customers this and yet under scrutiny they failed to provide hard facts, fact Blizz clearly presented right from start.
If you track the records of AV's presentation of the game, they have been backing out of promises again and again. From game content to free trials to one character per server, they have been making deliberately vague promises, widely hyped and never honoring them.
Don't worry, none of these should affect your enjoyment with the game, if you do enjoy it. However, if your enjoyment comes from personally insulting people with different views, then I suspect the game is failing you. Your pretence to enjoy the game is rested upon burying your head in the sand and denying all evidence that the game is not well received by some other people, that you have to resort to insults, to reporting, to any dirty tricks just to discourage dissident views.
Easy solution, go play the game and do not read the boards. There is no guarantee that the next person posting takes on a view not positive to your game.

Given its debt positions and the size of sub base, it is likely that AV is operating under limited resources. Launching a free trial, if not already planned for during the initial launch, might entail sizable spending, depending on how it needs to be done. Plugging unrestricted free trial accounts could significantly upset the current precarious balance of power in game, and with the vulnerability to hecking of the current account, it would allow hackers to go rampage on the game, with very little consequence (banning a trial account?). If the trial account has to be implemented in a restricted manner, say trial island, it means totally new developement work, draining resources badly need to patch up the currently bug and hack ridden game.
Assuming that AV is still trying to keep the game up and not planning to run away (I believe they do), the current priority should be to fix the game. Till then would they have something worth presenting to the rest of the gamers, who are till now skeptical. Till then would free trial be likely to be "profitable".

wow you really need to stop making your self look ignarant there not going to run away there doing everything they can to make the game better gave FREE transfers to the us server. you didnt have to buy the US client. only the impatient did
I am going to have to do something rarely seen here and agree with a statement made against my own. I retract my argument, if it would cut into maintaining their game, that is a very good reason not to do it.
The way it sounds it's a fun game with problems the everyday market wouldn't accept. It seems a lot of people expect the same quality they get from a company with millions/billions from small upstarts (with great ideas). Which is an unreachable expectation in most cases. Maybe if they drop the actual client price at some point, I will pick it up.
I must say if they did release a trial I would definitely try it out, I only like to PVP in MMO's. SWG being my favorite experience which DF sounds similar to as well as shadowbane with aspects of DAOC. The game sounds like a pvpers wet dream tbh, which makes it harder to believe it could actually be true.
