After I watched the "Future Trailer" from Aion, I am so sure this is the game I'm looking for !!!! I am going out to buy it now !!!
The questions that I always ask myself what kind of content in MMO that I will be choosing to play, mostly the answers will be "LOOKS, ARMORS and WEAPONS" and "HOUSING".
Now Aion totally showed me the ART STYLE. I mean, this game probably the best in the market recording to Art Style. Just to watching this game, I felt like wanting to be an artist!!!
So, No doubt Aion is my cup of tea !!
Now next is, which server should I join ?? =p Anyone recruiting???

You're so going to buy this game, for content that may never even make it into the game, and that which does likely won't for at least upwards of a year or two? Also noting that several other games promising these features are coming out in the same time frame which by virtue of not being out yet, still have the possibility of being void of the issues currently present in Aion.
That sounds like a very impulsive and not very well thought out decision.
Keep this in mind, NCsoft also said they would have spirit master pets flying almost two months ago, and even released a pretty pretty video for that. Guess what still isn't there! Now, compare something as simple as that to what they're promising in their flashy trailer...
Never trust ANYTHING in Q4
PS: Aion is pretty, but its art style is far from being anything of particular note. Have you even looked at other games?
Bans a perma, but so are sigs in necro posts.
EAT ME MMORPG.com!
That part, I don't know if they lack of releasing content. So .... haha !! I have no comment to that.
But Yes I've played chinese version of Aion, but just I don't know how to type chinese as a Chinese guy "yes that sound stupid" I decide to go for US version. Anyway the point is I seen the art style, is lovely. Other games that next to that I would say LOTR with their pretty DirectX10 graphic. However, I hate Moria !! LOL !!! and their theme is too dark, that even the upcoming expansion is another dark filthy land!! To be truth I enjoy LOTR early content coz they are sooo bright and warm. Lothrien almost can be compared to the early content but just not enough.
Anyway, I will take your point and see hows Aion goes in the future, but they did convinced me to buy the game through the trailer haha !! I guessed is not that bad to buy a game and try, is it??
Hmm, not sure if I really like this Aion but can anyone tell me more details? Such as good role, good RPGing, good music, good voices, and many more?
Does Aion required from a kind of computer?
When I buy Aion, but what would it upgrade or get part 2?
Thanks!!!
No actual official word beyond the trailer and GM's on the forums about the 3.0 trailer, but I see no reason why they wouldn't implement any of it
Either way welcome to Aion
If you like RP Lumiel is a pretty good server.
No one ever said that Aion looked bad. Problem is with the high degree of grinding needed. Unfortunately, I am no longer a student or something so can't spend so much time for a mmo.
I guess this is exactly what NCSoft tried to achieve.
Show a fancy trailer to sucker more people into buying their game.
Looking at the OP. I think NCSoft has already succeeded at that.
I also had the same impulse as OP when I first saw the video. I was like... whoa! The game looks amazing! It's the game that should replace my mmo void after ditching WoW.
Then again, I have made several such impulsive - and poor - choices over the years, paying for games I didn't even trialed for. So I'll keep my 50$ for now, until I Aion will release a trial version.
Better to be crazy, provided you know what sane is...

Ouch. I'm gonna agree with you there man, new content that most likely won't be released for another year or two.
I was interested in perhaps resubbing... but I think I'm going to hold off, still don't know what the hell to play though.
"IRL is a pretty upstanding MMO with thousands of classes, a lot of PvP and even some pretty unique emotes and titles you can acquire. Explore that world first, then we'll talk about this virtual one."
Aion plays and looks amazing atm so why not give it a shot?
Weren't you originally against it?

This isn't exactly anything new. Blizzard has done this type of PR repeatedly with WoW. Sony did it w/ EQ2. Mythic with WAR. Funcom w/ AoC.
There really aren't many MMOs that don't do this type of PR, if they have the budget to do it.
Seeing is believing. They could promise tons of features that they are capable of implementing, but without showing them off, few studios would be believed to deliver.
Never.
Well, unlike other studios so far, NCsoft hasn't promised something in Aion that she didn't deliver. The game as it stands now is thin in PvE content (reminds me a lot of the early LOTRO days) and could definitely use some more flesh out, but all that were promised at launch are delivered. In this regard I'm positive about the implementation of everything we see in that video.
On the other hand, the problems that plague the game at this point needs to be worked on. The game is far from perfect at the current state, although definitely in a better state than most of the latest launches the past few years. The thing is, if people don't really like the game at its current state, why would they like it with all the additions mentioned in that preview video?
How's the bot plague currently? I know they just banned 16,000 but I mean, they're like rabbits... they multiply quickly.

Hard to tell. It didn't affect me much personally, but I'm not much of a crafter or auction jockey. I do expect that number to increase again, despite the recent bans. Those gold farming companies don't lose money over bans, despite what some naive people believe. It's just a calculated set-back. The bottom line is that it's impossible to exterminate them completely, not when there are people who are willing to spend ludicrous amount of money on kinah (or gold or whatever).
What can and should be done is to contain them so as not to:
I bought the game yesterday night after watching the movie... still downloading.. Aion after work today.
Hey guys, I got the game !!
I just want to say, to be successful the company must do a lot of things to attract audience. NCsoft did that and convinced me to get it. I believe many people will do that same.
Anyway, since I got the game, lets think about how to get the best out of it instead of complaining how sucks it is !!
I am sure there are people love this game and wanna share.
So, Anyone up for recruiting ??
Leowolff, which server you playing? lets play together !!
Having seen the future trailer, the improved game looks great-hopefully the grind will be gone. I'd wait though until that future trailer becomes reality and who knows when that will be
Get it bought! I've been playing since Beta and it's been getting better and better.
3.0 will rock the MMO world, the people who are talking it down are just trolls who have already made a stand against the game and are continuing on any bottom of the barrel arguments they can think of.
Aion is a good game!

I bought it, but I am having trouble deciding which server to play on.
just a heads up the game is grindy. Its far from as bad as some make it but you level alot slower than you would in WoW/EQ/LOTRO.
Thx for advice. But I guess no MMO that doesn't need Grind. Grind sometime did gave more rewarding feelings when you achieved.
Oh well, I won't be those "Max levels in 2 weeks" guy, so I'll go with the flow!!
Anyway still !!! Anyone hook me up ?? I just done the patching!!!
if ever there was a game that might benefit from a free trial, its Aion, the reviews are mixed, PCGamer review recently rated it as fairly mediocre, but, as with all niche games, personal bias towards certain types of gameplay can colour your perspective - 2 people rarely play the same game after all. so for me, this is one of those games where you really need to try it before you consider buying it.
