Age of Conan: Hyborian Adventures: Thoth-Amon's Stronghold in Update 6

Additional details on Age of Conan Update 6 were revealed in a recent preview at IncGamers. According to the preview, Update 6 is slated to be one of the biggest updates to Age of Conan yet, introducing a number of new features including the Guild Renown system, PvP Arenas, and tier three raid content, including a dungeon taking place in the stronghold of Thoth-Amon himself.

The tier three raid content will mark the culmination of Age of Conan's main storyline, pitting players against the enemies that were responsible for them ending up on Tortage. Players will also be able to fight alongside Conan in Update 6, though further details are currently unavailable.

Oh man that looks fantastic, especially all the new stuff for guilds. Cant wait to see all the goodies we can deco with.
I hope Funcom takes this update seriously and releases it with as few bugs as possible.

Not only this, but I love how the expansion is "horizontal" and not "vertical", which means that they will be adding more endgame content for the current end-levels, therefore not making old content obsolete. (Like WoW did). Honestly, with all the changes coming to AoC, its only a matter of time before it is where it should be to satisfy a lot of people.
Maybe it is a little late, but better late than never. Anyone who complains about more content or finds a negative way to spin it is just a pessimist who is probably disgruntled to begin with.

All these AOC updates are praying on my weakness and making me want to pick up the game again. But my main computer needs a new mobo and graphics card you see, and since Thorgramm, you posted those screenies, I feel its only fair I ask youto partially cover the expenses?
Seriously though, the game appears to be getting better and better.
When I look back from where AoC was and what it has become and more to come,it's clear that all those who buried the game after the first 3 months were wrong.Instead of a swansong it looks more like the Phoenix Rising.

PLEASE, do not forget to check out the LIVE STREAMED DEMO on MONDAY, DEC 7th. Convert to your local times and be there to watch the DEMO with all these published updates included. PVP updates were not advertised as part of the expansion because UPDATE 6 will have most of it improved long before the Expansion comes out. 2010 is the YEAR of CONAN, the YEAR of the PHOENIX on the SWORD!!!!

The game has improved by leaps and bounds....sadly the community has gone stright down the toliet, and Funcom can't afford to piss offf one subscriber because that will probably be the tipping poitn to close down, so it's anything goes. Here Mature dosen't mean what it should...it basically means license to act like a douche.
I took the 6-month AoC plan for something to tide me over until Star Trek Online goes live. I've even marked my AoC sub for cancellation once it's finished in April 2010. But I gotta tell you: between these screenshots as well as what "Rise of the Godslayer" has to offer I may just cancel my cancellation. So what if the health insurance premiums at work went up $80 a month? AoC is too pretty to cancel.

So, when would 1.6 be due? I'm considering resubbing to AOC as it's the only MMORPG on the market that actually seems appealing to me.

It will go on Test Live within the next couple weeks for everyone to test the hell out of, then it will be there for a couple weeks of testing before it is put out live.

Watching 300 at the moment. King Leonidas is a tough SOB!!! The casual brutality of the Spartans and the Khitai-esque appearance of the Persian Elite Warriors inspire me to head back to Conall's Valley and crack Vanir and Ymirish heads. Of course, I have been reading the Legends of Kern Trilogy over the last week, and it simply feels cowardly to not fight at the side of my Cimmerian brothers and join up with Kern's Wolves in-game...

And then when it goes live, they'll spend two months fixing all the problems created by the update.
