You might get better traction on the official forums?

You're guaranteed to get practically zero here, with Blizzard anyways.

Yeah everyone can get epics and do the raids but not everyone can do the hardest encounters.

Seriously, post your armory with your Yogg 25 with no keepers, Algalon 25 and Heroic Anub 25 achievements.

If you think just getting to level 80 and getting a few welfare epics is the height of "end game" in WoW then I can see why you think there is no challenge.

  • ilikemoney43ilikemoney43 Member Posts: 36

most players in the past 2 years didint know that there are legendary items! and that raids used to be 40 man

I wouldn't worry about lvl 80 content too much - bigger question is: What the heck happened to levels 1-79?

  • ilikemoney43ilikemoney43 Member Posts: 36

o yea 1-79 is dead theres nothing there period once people get 51 they just av to 80

Ugh, I just wasted 15 dollars resubbing to look at the character select screen, log in to my level 2 warrior, think about leveling to 80, and then close my game.

I can't comment on the raids. Never tried as I dislike the idea of committing hours to a guild and pve is never a challenge, just a memorized set of rotations and movement, but the pvp arena in wow was cake for the short time I've played. Stopped when I realized the gear (rehashed tiers) weren't worth it.

It's a great game. I'm not a fanboi or anti-WoW... it's just after you've made 30+ toons of all classes and factions... you know exactly where you have to go, what quests to pick up in what order. Again I'm not saying it is "bad"... and yeah I know cataclysm is coming out. So instead of feeling like I was playing WoW, it'll be Guild Wars post-searing.

Some would say the challenge of WoW isn't in the content but finding the motivation to even play.

Personally, I've started playing again simply because it is the only MMO that offers everything that I'm looking for. It's enough for me to not focus on any glaring imperfections there might be.

Challenge, the way to filter out majority of the population from experiencing the content blizzard implemented for the players to ENJOY.

40-man instances weren't THE PINNACLE of wow, it was the fact that it was a VERY new and fun concept to alot of new generation mmo players.

Blizzard listened to the majority, they succeeded, now the minorty- the one's with voices- can utter anything they want but Blizzard will still be impervious to anyone's opinion unless they can prove their opinion with emperical evidence that the game is indeed failing because of the lack of 'challenge'.

    NO,

its nostalgia againnn lalalalalalalal (for the f''ing thousandth time)

I wholeheartedly believe that Blizzard quotes accounts created rather than actual current subscribers which is a bit sneaky.. but it's humbling to think that the 'best' game (at least so far are retail and subscribers) still only interests a few cities worth of people in the entire world.

The MMO REALLY is a sub-culture and 11 or 12 million people is actually.. very small.  I mean, it's the best the business has seen, but thinking on a world scale for the most popular game out there.. you'd think it would be a bit higher.  A lot higher even.

On to the actual subject at hand.. I think that there should be some bosses than are pretty much unkillable.  People who say 'WoW is too easy' may be right but it opens up content.  People who say 'WoW is NOT easy, try these HARD MODES of bosses you've already beaten!' well.. you may be right that Blizzard gave you an option to make already existing content harder, which is neat, but I would love to see a few bosses or instances that are hard to start with and exist for quite some time without any real progress made.  DIFFERENT fights with DIFFERENT bosses that are hard.  Maybe just a few world raid bosses, not even a dungeon is really required.

Now granted that there is Algalon and most of the players haven't seen him.  I mean things like that, but preferably bosses that players can actually see but not kill.  Towering monoliths of destruction that spur even the best players out there to reach far for and keep the player population thinking that there's an avenue left to venture down, a continent left to explore, a challenge yet to be met and a mystery yet to be solved.  And they might be the ones to do it.

Anyway, there's my 3.5 cents.  All just my opinion.

Objectivity is delivered with a lack of personality made for the mainstream but never used for the mainstream.

I agree. I think it would benefit blizzard to add truly hardcore encounters. Maybe a few world bosses roaming around, like you suggested. Maybe add some kind of achievements around these encounters. This would hardly be too difficult for them to implement, but would yield more enjoyment to the hardcore crowd while still catering to the casual gamers. They can make these little things and still target the casual crowd. I honestly don't think it would be a problem.

I am not a hardcore gamer myself, but I can kinda see what the hardcore players mean when they say the game is too easy. If you have defeated everything in the game. But then again, I totally agree with blizzard's stance on allowing everyone to see new content. It's not fair to reserve new content for hardcore players only. Casuals pay just as much to play as hardcores do.

I think that deliberately changing a post of a user is the WORST offense anyone could make in ANY form of publication.

In fact in our world it is considered a crime.

But this is a forum he didn't edit your actual post he edited it from a quote...

Anyways your too inlove with the game feel free to report me too if I said something bad on the game /sigh

We can discuss how many subs got right now but I don't think adding difficulty is the right thing to do. Wow did get a lot of players with the difficulty from TBC, a lot. So making things harder than that is probably not a great idea, Vanilla never had that many subs.

Blizzard will try to get as many subs as they can and so they should, they are trying to get a profit like (at least almost) every company in the world.

If the difficulty don't work for you, quit and post why you quited on the official forum. If enough people quit because of that they will up the difficulty again. That is how games work, well unless they are run by someone like Smedley that think he knows better than the customers.

It is not easy to make a large community happy, some people will get upset no matter what you do. If most of the community thinks the game is too easy, then will Blizz make it harder again, knowing what most of their players want is what Blizzard always been best at.

There is of course the option that they are making their upcoming game harder instead, that way they can get players that prefer both kinds of games without competing with themselves. Because Wow can easily be a problem for their new games if they are too similar, it have happened to other companies before.

  • ZoulzZoulz Member Posts: 477

There is no point in discussing wow's subs. As wow far exceeds any other MMO in every possible way. Doesn't matter if they have 10 or 20 million subs.

So you come on the forums of a site dedicated to MMORPG's and say that most people on this site cant play well. Are you a troll or just plain anti-social ? I for one think theres many players on this forum that would wipe the floor with you in any aspect of gameplay. Choose your area of expertise and i wont be surprised if someone accepts a challenge. And then pwns you.

  • ThenariusThenarius Member Posts: 1,106

Myeah..WOTLK is easier in many aspecs but raids..no, Raids are still very hard, most of the Ulduar hardmodes pre-nerf were actually harder than first BT bosses and on par with SWP bosses. Who cares about the Casual Joe and his i200 epics anyway.

And who cares about epics anyway? I thought people raid for fun, not to flex their e-peen in major cities.

Yes 11 millions of suscriptions of which 10.5 millions are 10-day trials signed by Asian gold farmers.
