I dunno why the sun burns up 'traditional' vampires in the first place... I just find it interesting that people shoot down different takes on a classic creature.. There are many creative ways around the sun besides this. You could have half the gameworld underground, if you play a Vampire you move to the Undergound during the day or you take damage from the sun. Thats just one off the top of my head. Your comment about the Twilight vampires or any other daylight walking vampire being the only soloution just shows a lack of imagination.
For the topic at hand, I would love a well thought out, and executed horror themed MMO something with the feel of the Bram Stokers Dracula movie. I however hate Facebook, and flash games are short term time killers at best. Twilight as a franchise (books, movies, ect) in my opinion suck, and I dont mean blood.

It's a facebook game pretending to be an mmo. Now they're redoing it in flash to be more like everything else. So to sum it up, yes it's a facebook game and that's it. You can't play it w/o adding it on facebook so there we go it's just another flashy facebook game and nothing more.

Yes i did. I read up on it completely. I looked at the site i read up on the company. I did ALL of this when that little "free key" thing from mmorpg.com came up. So i know about the game. And that's all it really is. It's nothing more really then a flash facebook game. I doubt it'll have too much depth as most of these companies lack it completely
. But go right ahead and play it if it'll tickle your fancy.
I for one, howerver, will be wiating for a REAL vampire mmo to come out onto the market not just another one of these hack and slash deals.

ccp's supposeldy making a vampire mmo. HOpefully theirs will be with real vampires and not this "i sparkle in sunlight and live in teh forest" bullshit. Trust me i know what vampires are. And twilight isn't it. It's a series of stories wrote by a dumbass who doesn't know how to write then all the people who like the stories are doing so because they're all pathetic and imagine themselves as bella b/c they're all that sick and depraived.
It's funny that people want MMORPG's to stray from the norm, because many are tired of the norm... but a writer strays from the norm, for what folks know of vampires, and it's not acceptable because 'that's not what vampires are'...
In my opinion, the Twilight rendtion of the vampire, being able to come out in the sun, is the ONLY way it could be successful in an MMORPG, otherwise your character has to stay indoors out of sunlight for overy half your gaming time... Unless a developer was crazy enough to think folks would buy into the idea that the game world they are playing in is night time 24/7 365 days a year.
Just one thing... can't a vampire just put on a hood or something...? Or like a scarf? I mean seriously its just sun that touches their skin isn't it? I dunno I just feel like vampires are retarded people.
I dunno why the sun burns up 'traditional' vampires in the first place... I just find it interesting that people shoot down different takes on a classic creature.. I'm sure that there has to have been different takes on dwarves and Elves, and most people are probably fine with that, but can't touch the creatures of the night... Nope, no can do.

There are many creative ways around the sun besides this. You could have half the gameworld underground, if you play a Vampire you move to the Undergound during the day or you take damage from the sun. Thats just one off the top of my head. Your comment about the Twilight vampires or any other daylight walking vampire being the only soloution just shows a lack of imagination.
For the topic at hand, I would love a well thought out, and executed horror themed MMO something with the feel of the Bram Stokers Dracula movie. I however hate Facebook, and flash games are short term time killers at best. Twilight as a franchise (books, movies, ect) in my opinion suck, and I dont mean blood.

Anyways, it's pretty cool. Has quite a few bugs because it's alpha but I'm liking it so far. ^^

I'm liking that it's supposed to be a social game, too. It has lots of random group missions which are the randomest things. In one, you had to chase elves and put them back in a corral type thing. xD
Anyone wants to play, ask. I have 5 invites from being in alpha (give you 25 ohais) and 2 or 3 extras from contests (give you 100 ohais).
