I love it how people say 'you rushed to 50, grats now you're bored' it's all bullshit. It's been months and months since the game was released so if you're still not 50, you should quit now there's nothing to look forward to. I got to 50, first ranger on my server to 50, quit for a month and came back, still not many 50s. For a PvP game there is not much of it, at 50 all you do is farm fortress guards for AP, occasionally fort instances too. Then there's dredgion which is just a train fest. Dark Poeta is a money sink because half of the time you leave with a Res sickness bill of 600k-1.2m on top of the 170k you paid to enter the instance. Drops are a myth, and when they drop they are the same drops you've been getting for the past 2 months of doing DP. Miragent (PvE) gear is better than the PvP gear due to the excessive amounts of HP you get from the set and the weapon stats destroy any Abyss weapon in terms of stats. You're only cheating yourself by thinking that whenever someone complains about no end-game it means they leveled too fast. I tried leveling a SM alt, got to 26 then -quit- I just about had it with the game. There is no skill involved at all, instances are boring and mostly 2-4 hours of clearing before you reach the boss only to find yourself earning an empty loot table at the end. The balance between classes is ridiculous, but they bypass that by simply saying that PvP is meant to be large-scale. I ran SR over 60 times, got my hat from the 50 repeatable before it was nerfed down to 30. My guild had been doing the last boss of SR for a long time even before the nerf, and never, ever saw a single weapon drop. Last but not least, luck does not equal skill; The game is far too random and people mix that up with skill. Stunning spells have a CHANCE to stun, slowing effects vary from 6 up to 16 seconds on the same skill. Why should a person "work" 10 times more than the other person just to get expert in the SAME profession? They shouldn't.
on average it probably evens out!first 10 you might have it easy from 90 to 99 you might have to work over time to reach it!
at the 99 mark i bet the average of miss is provbably the same

the reason why there is so few lvl 50's is because everyone stops at 30 and rolls a new toon because there is a armor set that can only be aquired by getting the pieces from 3 different toons i dont remeber much more about it but i know you have to have gotten to a certain point to do the quest and its a selectable item and you have to do it multiple times with other toons because you can only do the quest once per toon im suprised this hasnt been brought up before as its seemingly stupid to have to lvl mutiple toon just to get armor for one toon

i wonder if there are any with the full 5 piece set

In the end this is the players creating their own hell.
Just like those who rage quit lotro because they couldn't get the undying title at lvl 20. They would die once prior and then completely reroll in order to try again, eventually coming to the forums, screaming bloody murder and (presumably) quitting.
Players don't need this armor. This is just another goal among a series of goals that one can partake in. I have read a poster state that this is for players who like to roll alts.
In any case players don't have to do this. But for some reason they are compelled so they make their own lives hell.

All? Make it at least all but one. I made my alts for storage room primarily (since you can easily move your inventory to another char by using the account storage) and the second reason is that I want to know what the classes are about. I'm not going to level 5 chars to level 30 to get some set, which is useless when you reach level 50...I had to laugh about that quest, but I guess some people take a quest like that as serious business...
Anyway it's more likely that there are not so many level 50's since it takes a while to get to 50 if you have a job, children, school or other obligations next to the game. Come back in six months or a year, then most casual players will be around level 50.

your right they dont but the armor has bonuses not readily available to something someone has crafted and since there is no end game what else is someone to do its just like any other mmo you want the top armor whether its cosmetic or not
but i think its still pretty dumb that the only way to obtain the armor is through multiple toons
yes i meant that as a generalization of course there are those who have other reasons for re rolling alts but MOST do it for the armor sets

Well, I think there is an end game in that pvp is the end game. Of course, you then have someone coming to the forum in response saying "there is no reason for pvp". My thought is "of course you do, for the fun of it".
But I suppose that's not enough for some people.
As far as a pve endgame, that's a bit more difficult. In LOTRO there really isn't much of an endgame either except to explore and come up with your own reasons for being there. I have to say that some of the best game play that I've had has been in "LOTRO Endgame" where all I did was say "hey, I think I'll visit Goblin town again and see how far I can get before I succumb to my wounds or head out to the darkest reaches of Moria in order to cleans it of its filth.
I constantly see people who scream that they don't want to be led by the nose. My thought is "don't be led by the nose then".
But then again, maybe that's just my way of playing these games. I tend to just do what i want and don't do what I don't want. Because of this I tend to find my own fun but then hear about something that is very popular that everyone has been doing and my reaction is "what? Really? You don't say? Is it fun?"
Still, to be fair and in my opinion, the world of aion, as cool as it seems, doesn't seem to have a huge amount of depth. At least when compared to somethign like LOTRO.
In a game like LOTRO we know all of the hobbit and all of "the lord of the rings" and can place ourselves solidly in the universe that the game takes place in.
With a game like Aion I can see that being a bit more diffcult. Still, I have to say that I squarely don't believe in the idea that endgame is where it all happens. My thought is that one should just play the game and if one doesn't have anything more to do then move on until you are compelled to come back. I certainly did that twice in LOTRO because what I was interested in doing there, once I had reached lvl cap, had decent gear, etc, wasn't something that required me to log in every day.
And as I've mentioned, I'm a firm believer in the idea that if you don't want to do something then don't do it. One doesn't like to raid? Then don't. One doesn't like to run instances over and over? Then don't. For the small amount of time that I have played WoW, I can say that I thorougly enjoyed myself. But in no way shape or form did I partake in what most of the players did. I didn't have great gear, didn't raid, wasn't interested in the pvp. I did explore, take quests and just take it for what it is.
I think if more people reevaluated why they play these games and what makes them fun then they might find themselves a bit less intense about what games have to offer and find an experience that is far more meaningful to them. Because, in the end, if one finds nothign to do and one has to force themselves to do something then that just seems to be a huge waste of time when they can be applying themselves to just about anything else.

I'm not a big WoW player, I played long enough for a 60 shaman and high 40's (49?) shadow priest and mid 40's warrior but couldn't get back into it after the WotLK expansion (I didn't buy it) since every zone became a ghost town.
I've been watching videos of Aion, the animations look very cool, watching a gladiator beat up a foe was like watching a ninja, and some of the other roles look great too. I'm considering trying this game out, I suppose there aren't any trials out there?

Thank you Op for reaffirming witch is obvious to anyone that pays attention.
You like everyone else is too worried about speed leveling in hopes there is some magical game at the end.Well i have news for you,if the journey is a speed romp, then there is no game.End game should be END game, your choice is to re roll another player and enjoy the game from a different roleplaying aspect, however there has to be game there to enjoy it.
A game i enjoyed a lot of was FFXI,it had what most call END GAME material throughout the game, but of course it was more or less generated at level 50,but still it offered a lot of content aside from waiting another 25 levels.
The game was not relegated to content from level 50 either there was other stuff to do long before that. The game was designed to be an enormous time sink, but hey it is suppose to be a RPG ,look how long it takes to accomplish anything in real life.
If you the op zoomed to end game in two weeks, that says it all, boring mainframe and you didn't even care about 1-50,and there was probably nothing for you to do except dream of level 50,and how fast you can get here. When i joined FFXI it took me two weeks to figure out the sub job class and macros.I don't think i had a level 30 for at least a month and not once did i ever regret the game ,it was exciting and a challenge the whole way.
I might also add,not once was i in a hurry to get to end game level 75,i was enjoying the game too much, this says it all, either there is game or there is not.
Never forget 3 mile Island and never trust a government official or company spokesman.

I rate this post A+
The people crying for no endgame never define the endgame they are looking for. It remains undefined like the Holy Grail. Sometimes I think they leave it that way, so they can play the "it's not that either" -game.
Aion has endgame. Another question is whether you like it or not, but there definately is the endgame. It's called Reshanta.
EDIT: Forgot to say, our legion got an old member back today. He left because of the fact he outleveled everyone else and there was nothing to do. He sounds happy now.
Grats on rushing through a game and then complaining about the lack of high level content and pvp. Every mmo I have played lacks high end content for quite awhile. The game is 3 months old, I suppose they could come out with a rushed, half ass content patch that you could complain about as well..

It's been out for over a year, fuck. 3 months to level cap is not rushing stop being so absurd. How about YOU get to 50 then tell me where the end game is. It's not that there's no 50s it's that they just quit before reaching 50 or they quit at 50.

At least read the first post of a thread. He leveled 2 chars to 50 in 3 months and that IS rushed.
And about what level 50s do, you should speak for yourself. I do not know a single level 50 so far who dropped because of no endgame. Maybe in 1-2 months they drop like flies, lets wait and see.

I know many, including myself who quit cause of boredom at endgame. This game is not for hardcores is what i realized. Especially ones like me who only play 1 character and stick to it.
I only see the last 2 weeks more individuals get ranked in the Abyss Rank on my server. Before that those stats were empty, execpt for one or two lonely players at the top. Those are all level 50 players, so I guess not all people stop playing at or before level 50. I think it's only that now some more people are starting to reach level 50.

If you send me your e-mail and name or nickname I will throw a trial your way.

Great thanks, sending PM.
is there anyone who can give me a trial?
Never forget 3 mile Island and never trust a government official or company spokesman.
your right and often after the tird toon most leave game fed up having grinded to death and still have to grind 2 more toon to get all 5 piece or whats not of armor
i wonder if there are any with the full 5 piece set
In the end this is the players creating their own hell.
Just like those who rage quit lotro because they couldn't get the undying title at lvl 20. They would die once prior and then completely reroll in order to try again, eventually coming to the forums, screaming bloody murder and (presumably) quitting.
Players don't need this armor. This is just another goal among a series of goals that one can partake in. I have read a poster state that this is for players who like to roll alts.
In any case players don't have to do this. But for some reason they are compelled so they make their own lives hell.
your right they dont but the armor has bonuses not readily available to something someone has crafted and since there is no end game what else is someone to do its just like any other mmo you want the top armor whether its cosmetic or not
but i think its still pretty dumb that the only way to obtain the armor is through multiple toons
yes i meant that as a generalization of course there are those who have other reasons for re rolling alts but MOST do it for the armor sets
Is it fun?"

Disregarding his play style, he says the games lacking at end game content.
The OP is right because you actually don't play the game, you are watching the game most of the time.
This doesn't even make sense? What the fuck are you talking about?
Let me guess... you have never even played Aion - so therefore - just posting stuff to make yourself look smart? Incase your wondering... you failed
Obviously you didn't play vanilla WoW. :-)
No matter how many times fanboys will repeat this lie it will never become truth. Aion was released in SK over a year ago:

MMORPG genre is dead. Long live MMOCS (Massively Multiplayer Online Cash Shop).

You mean - the bots that are almost non-existant now? The 50k+ that has been banned? Is that what you mean?
Oh.... I get it.... you mean it was a joke?
Even more fail than I originally thought. Thanks for correcting me.
