After reading this review click I felt we needed this. If you think Darkfall is a good game please say it and say why in one short sentence, if you don't think it's a good game please refrain from trolling, thankyou.
Let me start,

I think that the fact that you need to reinforce this so very forcedly tells me enough about how Darkfall's qualities can be doubted.
To be fair here, Agricola isn't very forcibly saying anything. If you had taken time to read the review that is in his original post, you would see that it is the reviewer is the one exclaiming that "Darkfall is a good game." He is merely reiterating and agreeing. I am too.
Darkfall is a good game for too many reasons to list. My time invested into Darkfall puts to shame any game I have played since SWG, and I'm still playing. I have no intention of quitting any time soon. Based on that alone, for myself at least , "good" is an understatement.

Lol now you got me thinking, I have never once even looked at the aoc forums, I could care less about aoc. So why do these people come on the DF forums just to bash the game all I can fathom is because they want the game changed. If they dont care about the game why are they here.
As to the statement about people being payed. That made me think about political elections, Paid negative advertisements always out number the posative one's atleast in america. And who has the bigger budget or wait was it the bigger bank account.
By the way games like AC had a huge grind it is nothing new I dont see the problem.

you shouldnt take the statement of being paid too serious, im suggesting he would say the same when someone in the AoC forums comes up with a statement/thread like that

Darkfall is a good game, Darkfall gets your adrenaline pumping more than any other game.
Darkfall is a good game because it has some of the best AI I've ever seen in an MMO and because it keeps you on the edge of your seat with the PVP!

you know its kind of ironic because Agriocola used to hate on DFO. I remember him doing it and I probably called him a retard, like I do to most people who hate on a game based off the opinions of others or who play the game and quit in less than a week and then tell everyone that DFO isn't worth playing like Strix. Now, I like agricola though and I probably wouldn't kill him if I saw him in-game. Its too bad so many people aren't willing to try the game because of fools like 2/10 Ed Zitrion, they may be pleasently surprised like a lot of haters are.
While I am not in agreement I've always found Agricola to post very insightfully,truthful and without much bias so I disagree with all due respect.
but yeah, to call this game Fantastic is like calling Twilight the Godfather of vampire movies....

Well I'd say my hating was 90% on AV/Tasos, as I believed it was vapourware. Being the skeptical type and after getting sick of hearing about the release of DFO for 3-4 years and it's 9 year development can you blame me? I just couldn't see any evidence that it was anymore than vapourware.
I was shocked it was released, and started giving DFO some (ok alot!) crap due to the hacking and staggered release. Then I let it be as well the game had released, wether it was a steaming pile or not it had launched. After seeing nothing that interested me on the horizon I saw that DFO was still live and AV hadn't gone bankrupt and Tasos hadn't fled to Brazil, so decided to try it.
I'm glad I did, and DFO is really the only innovation in the industry since SWG pre-CU in my opinion. Call me a fanbois, I don't really mind since I'm playing a good MMORPG. Being paid by AV? I wish! If I enjoy a game that deserves it, then I will hype it. I called it vapourware and mocked AV and many posters here for believing otherwise, well I was wrong and have already apologized.
DFO now is a very open and versitile game and deserves a try from any gamer that enjoys PvP, it's my opinion and I don't expect nor want everyone to agree with it.

Hate AoC? Well again I despise Funcom but don't hate AoC, I think it's a PvE turd that was marketed as a PvPers wet dream (why I bought it) and I feel duped by Funcom. Also FC has not improved AoC or added the features promised at launch they said would be in there by now. That's my opinion though and is not relevant to how much I enjoy DFO, I think WoW is a boring turd but don't go into the WoW forums and give people crap there because they don't like DFO that would be idiotic.
I'm sorry if someone disagrees with me but I did politely request you refrain from posting in this thread as it's aimed at people who like the game and expressing what it is they like about it. I guess some people just can't resist it /shrug

what stat grind? lol, do you actually grind stats before skills? I highly doubt your skills are maxed, skill >stats.
I hate you guys who want to beat someone in a blow for blow 1v1 who has put 10x more effort into their character than you, stats don't make a huge difference in combat. 10 str = 1 extra damage per hit and 5 hp, str caps at 120, starting char 200 hp, max hp 450 HP. QQ more.

When you have someone who claimed to do a 140 max amount damage, you start to care about the issue. So with that being said, getting 300 HP minimum like xpiher use to say, is not that useful. Getting 300 hp is like the 1st step, you will need to grind even more after that on stats.

this is why taking things to extremes is a bad idea, noobs read this and think it is the norm. You are talking about someone who is on a mount with 1-h weapon mastery at 100, hitting someone who is naked in the back with the highest quality enchanted weapon possible, probably worth around 50-100k. It would take you more than a day to gather the materials for that weapon depending on what kind of transmute it was and might need a group and you have good chance of losing it if you aren't careful and you act like lots of players are running around like this.
Darkfall is a good game for those who want a game like Darkfall.

No battle are fair in DF. You win because you got more stats then your enemy. I dont mind the zerg unfairness because this is what sandbox pvp games is suppose to about, the rule of freedom, but when 1 guy can beat a whole group alone or survive longer then expected alone like him:
There is no hope for newb's to catch up. Like i said, 1 to 3 months would be enough,but more then that like 6 or a year, C'mon son, get the fck out here with taht bull sht.
Vets that say that the game can be fun without grinding is a lie because pve is already boring. Only thing fun to do is PVP, but in order to succeed in PVP, you must grind in pve 1st and i think this is stupid. Aion in his part(i dont play that game, but its an example) You can start pvp at lvl 25 and there are pvp rank. If you die too much, you can lose your rank. If you win too much, you can advance on rank meaning that you cant be strong for ever. In darkall, those with high stats can never lose them meaning that newb's cant catch up. There is no decay or cap like in UO and this is the main darkfall problem.

Darkfall is great.
It is different, which i think some people just cant get past. Every other MMO has the same story, same controls, same everything. Basically they are just different skins of one another. DF i find to be very enjoyable.
Shadowbane had a similar situation...anyone who didnt like real PvP would rip the game constantly.
Never played it, so no idea on its quality, however I like DF because it proves that a small group of people with a dream could pull off bringing an MMO to market that caters well to its target audience and is still going after its 1st year and winning new players.
