It's pretty funny how people got so annoyed at all the "This game is a single player mmo" crap they made these vids, good effort though and lol at the ending...
Sadly, now they'll just start complaining about how it's a WoW-clone / themepark / railroaded and of course the ever persistent graphics discussion.

If anyone thought that this wasn't going to be a themepark mmo..... They were highly delusional and they are obviously trying to cater as much as possible to the casuals and by doing so the game will get dumbed down like wow. Although I'm sure that will get them a decent amount of subs but mainly because the title of the game is Star Wars and its made by bioware.

I was one of those that concluded that TOR was gonna be a single story game with some multiplayer added in. It was the only info available. I am completely happy I was wrong. This news puts SWTOR back into my "to play" catagory.
Im glad they are answering thier critics...but sadly enough someone will always find something to gripe about. Thanks for finding that video OP!

But yeah, those that do watch it will say it's a wow clone, that has no immersion, that it's dumbed down... and is very linear. Oh well.

Great video! I'm glad it addressed alot of the complaints that have been grought against this game. Hopefully it will satisfy most of the nay-sayers, but there are sure to be a few who don't believe it. It sounded like you are able to talior the battles to your wants and needs (large group, with friends, solo) which is anice change from having to form and drag along a large group for certain content when you only have a short amount of time to play.
As always, looking forward to hearing more news and features announced in the coming weeks and months.

They didn't need a video to get people back on board.. Everyone in this thread and interested in star wars will buy this Box Game and play for 30 days no matter if its single player or mmo or co-op or whatever.. Its freaking star wars.. People are buying it regardless.. All these retards on here who are saying its "single player co-op"are the same freaks who sleep in the parking lot of gamestop,walmart etc the night before just to be first in line to buy it.. Their like little kids who are chasing their first mmo high in every other mmo they play and whine consistently when those "first mmo" elements/addictions aren't present in whatever new mmo game there playing. None the less, they still buy the initial game box no matter how dissatified they may appear on forums prior to release..
you are right!but every game makers dream is to be next mmo to make 150 million a month!espacially now that the industry knows it can be done when the game is good!
I prefer not having an opinion about any game until i enter an open beta or take a free trial.

Apparently people haven't been paying very close attention to the development of this game. Most of the video clips in that compilation we have seen before (aka they are old). They have been saying these things all along. So the people that have been bashing what type of MMORPG SW:TOR is going to be are going to continue doing so... People are just upset that the new SW MMO isn't going to be what people perceive that SWG should have been, or at least what their own personal view on what the game should be.

I know exactly...FFXI has been doing that for 8 yrs now and its damned well done! Best storyline in any MMO thus far...

Just sharing my opinion and experience here. FFXI might have had story but it was hardly captivating, nothing about the world or game was all that interesting either. Starting out punching rabbits didn't draw me in, clunky movement, and to repeat. the story...well, wasn't all that interesting.
Before you assume. I do enjoy the FF series, I started my experience at 7 and have played up to 12. 11 just didn't feel like final fantasy, neither did 12 or 9, but that's a different story. So "bringing story for the first time", I believe they should change it to "Bringing the true story experience for the first time".

I guessed the release date for this game as spring 2010, but now it's bumped up a year.
I can see this game becoming as popular or second to WoW, if it's done right.
So far it looks like the only game with the most potiential, especially if it has what they say it will have.

Plus the fact that XIV will come out before this.. so even if in some wicked way your assumptions were right, they'd still be wrong.
They should say it without arrogance and then that'd be no problem: "Bringing full voice overs and choices to an MMO story for the first time".

9 was more final fantasy than 7 was, but you wouldnt know that cuz u started at 7.
