Sorry, you lost me on the MMO ruleset question. I don't want zones, I want FFA but with a justice system. Your choices were all about the standard fare, and none of it works for the sandbox game style. (IMO)
For me one of the things that players look into mmorpg is having a nice pvp/gameplay, decent graphics, unique features and good community. Because nowadays some mmorpgs are just a clone of the other one and so fort... But whether it's a free to play or a pay to play it was still depends on the player. I prefer a f2p game like Atlantica Online this game has a decent graphics and what I like about it was the pvp and the mercenary system..
I couldn't answer survey cause you didn't include a none of these or other option . I am also guessing no average MMO gamer is here in these forums right now. (Only those who are very picky)

Games played:AC1-Darktide'99-2000-AC2-Darktide/dawnsong2003-2005,Lineage2-2005-2006 and now Darkfall-2009..... In between WoW few months AoC few months and some f2p also all very short few weeks.
