Ahh ok, thanks for the expanded version, though I am still not sure I get why the 360 maybe topping out graphically stops the PC or PS3 devloping... like I say, the PS3 and PC use different textures etc anyhow already for this game, so I would say that independent graphical development is going to happen anyhow on each format? I can't see the PC going that far ahead of the 360 either in a few years... sure, the best (or better then average) PC is better then the 360 even now, but the vast majority of users have pretty poor machines and run most games scaled right down anyhow. I can't see that changing tbh. Honestly interested in your views on this though, not looking for a flame fight or anything. Nice to have a real conversation on these boards for a change I can't believe you actually picked me up for missing a D off HDD though :P
It is what developers in the industry say. Personally I have no number to back it up nor have I really tried to pick apart the differences. Honestly I have both systems and I use the PS3 for most of my game while the 360 I save for the competitive online stuff (SF4, MW2 ... etc). Rarely play thing that aren't 360 exclusive on my 360 because I just like my PS3 better. Really I haven't played many games on both systems only Fallout 3 and SF4 come to mind. I don't know I like my PS3 ... honestly I look at graphics today side by side on the internet and prefer the PS3 over the 360 version most of the time. I can't think of anything but Ghostbusters atm that I though the graphics were head and shoulders above on the 360. But from what the industry says the 360 won't get much too better than what it is now. Not that it is a bad thing or a good thing ... it is what it is.
And remember that PCs double is power every 18 months on average. So what the PC is today will be nothing compared to what they will be after Armageddon (... 2012). The 360 (as well as the PS3 and the Wii) will stay stagnent for the next 5-6 years and in that time the PC will have gotten -- if math serves me well -- 4 times stronger. The PC will easily surpass consoles during every generation, it is just the way of the world.
And I read your sentence and High-Definition ... I was like: "High-Definition? That doesn't make any sense what so fuc.... oh ... hard drive ... right got it ... he needs another D."

hehe nps, I don't care. Like I said I am not exactly a technical expert anyhow, I am used to being corrected. I don't have a think skin for this stuff
But yeah, I get what your saying. The only real potentiol problem that I see though in this game though with the future upgrade is with graphics? And if each platform indeed has it's own GFX set up (like I mentioned PC and PS3 already have) then that probably wouldnt even be an issue.

Interesting to see where all this is going.
I agree.
FF14 is a killer app and they know it... The power is with SE here really imo.
