Looking For An MMO And Partner
Hey, basically all the friends I used to play mmos with have mostly given up on the genre. I've been playing mostly solo type mmos but am looking for anybody interested in starting a game. At this point I'm not too picky, I'm willing to play either F2P or P2P. I just enjoy having someone to group/level with, especially when you're both new to the game. I'm willing to give pretty much any game a shot, especially if it's a free trial or F2P, there's nothing really to lose there. My all-time favorite mmo was FFXI but I'm not necessarily looking for something just like it. Right now the only game I'm playing is Fallen Earth. So if anyone's interested in possibly starting a game, I'm all for it and open to suggestions. So either respond here or send me a private message. Take care.

I'd be up for starting one with someone. All my RL friends are still playing WoW and I'm just so bored of that game, it takes no skill now to play. Hit me with a PM if you wanna get in contact.
Count me in too. None of my friends even play MMOs (except for a few that play RS, which just plain sucks) and I've gotten bored of the others that I've tried. I'm up for something new.
You should all join together and form a village in Wurm Online. Tbat is all.

I'd play if it's something we can duo. I mostly play frontlines type fighting characters. I really would love to play though with someone who also enjoys solo/duo play. I am from Japan though (but in the US now) so my english can be a bit odd at times but I think what I type is fairly understandable.
Also I am looking for something I can be immersed in, and just have fun. I generally get along with people a little older than I am too (I am 25.) It' sjust nice i think to have someone to talk to, and a place to go where someone is actually waiting for you to play something together. Seems a lost concept lately.
I too have been looking for another person to play/finish some mp/mmo games. I have basically all the games but its hard to find someone willing to play a game till the end in a decent time frame (not years or something). I've wanted to finish Neverwinter Nights 2 in coop (NWN1 as well), same with Sacred 2. I do play all sorts of games as well, Wings of Prey, Borderlands, all the Simbin racing series from other genres lately.
I've played FFXI (my first mmorpg actually) for awhile way back when it was first out, then Everquest II for years and still have those characters at lvl 70+, Vanguard (I'd really like to go back and get a group going, its the only way to have fun in the game, soloing is to boring and hard unless your a Necro, which is the best character ever that I've played) for a couple years and have a lvl 50 weaponsmith, 50 Necro, 30 something Warrior and various others. I also have Aion Collector's Edition which I never even opened. The only games I really don't like are RTS type, though there are some I would play online like Company of Heroes type. In mmorpgs, I'm usually a caster but I do play as a tank and sometimes as a healer, I just don't like the rogue/scout character types. Two games I'm looking forward to is Jumpgate Evolution and Black Prophecy but its going to be awhile till they are out.
Looks like we could get a half decent group going in any game, I would be down for a decent game if anyone has some ideas.

played WAR,WOW,FE,RO,MO,GA,AION and many more!! am always role tank or atleast Mdps and am sucks at healing only on war wasnt bad :P :P

I'd love to play with some people here but like I said I like to fight right up front, and WoW stuff is weak i think in terms of damage so it can't be that game. AION and gladiators work for me (not the pvp though) but the economy is rough and i'm female so you know all those clothes you can buy in there that do nothing? I want those heh. I also am half japanese and from japan so I can't speak english at all. I can type it though for the most part. I'd love to play more of a duo/trio style and be able to play that role I am best at but it seems very hard to find people.
one thing I will say is when I play mmos, what bothers me most is when people joke around a lot and use the same recycled jokes I've heard for years in other mmos. I want to feel immersed a bit and then keep the typing to some level of normal non-slang (which I don't understand anyway). I am a fun person and all, would be nice to find the perfect fit somewhere, where I am leading the battle and not some perosn ina guild no one gives a dang about. I have passion and I don't like to think through battles much. I have done some great things just dealing with changes in the battle as they happen. Adventuring is fun but I need the right fit like I said. You guys sound great so nothing against anyone. I am more so explaining the type of player I am.
I'm thinking of picking up again into a F2P mmo but I'm not sure still. If anyone has any good suggestions let us know, cus I'm getting so bored of playing through dragon age over and over and over again.

I tried. I wanted help with a specific build actually. If you want to help me out send me a message here. I am only not playing that because I can't find help on the build I am looking to play. I'd pay though to get favored soul and then mix it in with the kind of build I want but can't make without some help for lack of experience. So if you or anyone here would like to help me with a build for DDO, i would greatly appreciate it.

I'd probably solo or duo DDO and I have seen some good builds but not one I want yet. Someone here has to be kind enough to help me out. I'd love to play. I have been trying for a month to get together a good build and have someone explain stuff. If I could just get that build in my hands, I would start playing now!

Man you people all belong in FFXI,it is the true game that was designed for people to work together.ALL other games are basically designed to solo and work together only sometimes.I have not been able to get into anything since i left FFXi these other games are just awful.I used to be able to move from game to game after playign them for awhile,becauseei could always find soemthing better,but since FFXI,i can't find anything even close let alone better.
I have tried DDO and i deleted it after one hour,i tried Wurm the grpahics were totally messed up ,i deleted it in 3 minutes.I have played Vanguard/eq2 /Wow actually every game out there except LOTR.
The only game i would suggest beyond FFXI is perhaps ROM,just because it is free,it is VERY hard to play all the content without cash shop ,but for the most part it is do able.Problem of course is there is no content it is a Wow copy,just run from quest to quest.

I like to solo though and don't like grouping. I play at odd hours and generally dislike most people and their recycled internet jokes they always freaking say in mmos. That game was a serious grind anyway. I'm in the closed beta for the new one and it's a lot better. Hard to tell the future. sick of the lol, rolfmohomo people though. Tired of the dishonorable gangbang combat. I just want to play solo or duo. It's my preffered playstyle. DDO is good if someone could help me with a multiclass build. CoV is the best game to solo in though. I can solo taskforces no problem. even that lame roman one, if i use multiple accounts.
Alright looks like we need to start a guild in a whatever game that people wanna play. This Kinda sounds like a fun idea seeing as there is plenty of interest, now to find a game that doesnt blow.

Hey guys, not sure if you all found a game to play or are still looking. A friend and I just started playing Age of Conan, and so far are having a blast.
We had played at launch and left due to it not being what we wanted, but just came back to see how it is after getting bored with WoW for the 5th time, and already having played most of the MMOs out today.
If you guys havn't played Age of Conan lately, I would say to give it a shot! We would be glad to meet up with you in game and have some fun with a group- that is something I miss having back in the day. Always fun to have a pre-made group of people to do dungeons with, quest, or just have some fun!

I am in the same boat and curious as to what you guys decide. The probelm is that I have found anyway - is that difference in levels causes the problem. I am levle 10 you are 15. . you have an hour to play. . it would take you 20 minutes to get to me or the other way around.
I used to be in some great guilds, ran one on The Realm, watched a huge one rot from inside on UO, DaoC etc. Since then I have not found a guild that I liked. . .too much WoW I guess. Right now I am playing Darkfall and love it because I can log in play as much as I want and log out. No path to follow and there is always something different going on.

If you guys want to start a new guild in a game and get rolling I would enjoy joining you. The question is what games offer a fun experience when grouping.
My opinon on some games.
EverQuest 2- Good amount of group content. Crafting is done fairly well and the stuff you make is useful. Can level up your guild and have guild housing.
DDO- Grouping from the get go. Built in voice support. Becomes a bother if people want to run the instances at different speeds. Would only be fun if everyone had the same play style. I personally like to take it slower and explore rather than rush to the end of the quest.
Champions Online- Not sure if it is true but I heard that missions now scale to your party size. I played it when it released and the reason I quit was because running in a group killed the challenge in most of the game.
FFXI- The game centers around grouping. Older control scheme so it will take some getting used to for first time players.
Atlantica Online- Turn based squad game with a max of three players per group. Figured I would throw something different than the norm into the pot.
I'm interested in this, as well. Not concerned about which MMO really, had a little bit of a break from the genre over the last few months. If this idea comes to fruition and actually comes to life I'd like to participate.
I'd play with you guys if I could play the warrior class. It depends which game and which class but something that uses a sword and fights up close. More damage of tanking. I remember being able to lead groups of people well with stuff like BladeDancers in L2 long ago. I generally like the "warrior" roles though. As long as it isn't magic, ranged or healer. Not sure what's a good melee damaging class in FF but in Aion i liked Gladiators. I was actually level 12 on Lumiel (think is how it's spelled) and an Asmod whatever. I'm not good at PvP exactly though. Mainly I want to be the one who rushes in. It's the only way I know how to play. Taking it slow is fine too, if that's what people want. I get sickof these mmos cause I never seem to get the gear/weapons I really love to even care about the character though.
So I'm finally jsut gunna give in and try out DDO. I still wanna play with a buddy on there so if anyone is not busy tonight, PM me and i'll throw ya one of my messengers and we can team up. I'm probably gunna end up being a healer, it's kinda fun.
