I would heavily watch Mythos, and see when that is supposed to be re-released.
Also, I wouldn't say BoI is too similar to Diablo II, I suppose it is a little, but not anymore than any other Hack and Slash game.
Erebus would be your closest bet. Same inventory layout and everything.
Cronous is also very very similar to D2. Good luck.
