You can devote to crafting, you can find recipies that are better than others. Unique tools perhapes not but there are rare resources to be used.
The religion system is clearly something to come after the basic features of the game and more content but it shows they've got good ideas to take the game in a fun direction.
You can indeed name places yourself, 'Sausage Lake' is a player named place and is now commonly known as Sausage Lake for example.We have a few caves and places to go at the moment and more to come with the next build. It's still beta they've shown they have more content that isn't implemented, just look at the videos and screenshots - that's all in-game footage so they have more goodies instore for us somewhere!
