I'll answer my own poll. For me the answer is NO unless Blizzard open new servers (No Xfer) with the expansion. Anyone following Blizzard, did they say anything about that possiblity with CAT release ?

Why not unless there's new servers? I'd say it all depends of how sucessful Cata is whther there's any pressure to open more servers.

I always liked starting fresh on new servers with everyone on the same footing. With an new expansion it's even more fun. I already have 3 80's and have no desires whatsoever to go back to them....
I haven’t played for a couple of years but was going to resub when the expansion came out. But now I'm not sure as I keep hearing about all these changes to classes to balance the game. And how some classes are been change quite a bit for the sole purpose to balance PvP, even to the point that you can’t play them the way most people use to (for example the changes to Hunter's tanking pets etc).
I'm sure that these changes will be good news for many players, but me, I rarely PvP and like playing different classes that have completely different feels and play styles. If what I read and what some of my friends say is true (and I have no way of knowing if it will be or not) if I go back I will not like the changes that have made or are schedule to be made.
So I guess that's a No for me, but maybe I'll get bored enough with other games to just try it again at some point.
At first this was my plan to resub/play again when expansion came back out but watching some of the stunts Activision/Blixzard have pulled recently I have my doubts now there is just too many other mmogs out with alot better community cs staff to continue to give my money to blizzard. The games just got abit long in the tooth happens to all mmogs but I have missed out on alot of other games or neglected them due to WoW and I am finally ready to explore new lands, content rather than the same old rehashed zones that Blizzard has this expansion.
After 2 returns to WoW i can safely say i am over the game. Nothing they do will make me come back. The game was awesome and it's good that they are willing to change up the old zones to freshen things up but i am simply too far gone to be enticed back.

That's a great idea, I hadn't thought of that !
My enthusiasm towards all things Activision Blizzard related has taken a dip the last year, so I turned guarded regarding the upcoming stuff. I thought I'd just wait for a few weeks after CATA launch to see what friends are telling about it, but if they open new servers then I might give it a try on them :-)
The ease with which predictions are made on these forums: Fratman: "I'm saying Spring 2012 at the earliest [for TOR release]. Anyone still clinging to 2011 is deluding themself at this point."
Stopped playing WoW about 2 years ago. The game is not going in direction im interested in for quite a while, and every new piece of info i stumble upon about Cata just makes it less and less appealing for me.
I'm somewhat interested in seeing the changes to Azeroth, somewhat interested in rolling a Worgen toon, somewhat interested in the Cataclysm story. But not interested enough, at this point to say, "Yes!" without hesitation.
Because I'm not at all interested in many of the other changes that are going to be made. Don't like the Hunter class redo. Don't like the stats coming off gear. Don't like the complete elimination of some stats from the game (mp5).
One thing I might do is resub in September, create a DK on some random server, and try to get a group up to do a run through Black Rock Depths (probably my favorite dungeon) one last time before it gets changed forever.

Most likely, but only because my friends are getting me back into it. I told them I got bored, but I liked some of the changes coming in Cata, so it's about a 60% yes at this point.
No. Activision/Blizzard gets no more of my money. The stunts with Infinity Ward have left a foul taste in my mouth. No employee should be treated that way. Considering the continued exits it looks to me as if the treatments are being spread around to those still part of Infinity Ward. When the core of leaders for departments leave something is substantially wrong.
Why do you all refer to "Activision Blizzard"? Activision has nothing to do with Blizzards games, you wont see "Activision Blizzard" printed on the WoW expansion, SC2 or any future Blizzard games.
"Activision Blizzard" is the name of a holding company, Activision and Blizzard both go their own way when creating games. So if any of you have a low opinion of Activision don't let that colour your opinion of blizzard.
Only if every single 1-60 zone is redone, with it's graphics being brought up to Northrend specs. Also, all of the old races need new character models...badly.
I will. I've always wanted to play a human hunter, and I'll be able to adventure through the new zones while doing it. If it turns out that I can't stand the higher tier stuff, meh, I'll cancel again and know I've had my fun. Considering the rate at which I burn through single-player games it'll probably keep my attention long enough to justify the money.
The community is so rotten that it alone is the reason why I am staying away from the game. It's a spectacular game really, but it was corrupted by e-sport thugs and elitist basement dwellers. So, by them dumbing down raiding even more in the next expansion, why should I think the ninjaing, gear score abusing practices are going to disappear? Recommend a guild you say? Most don't even really do things together except for a raid night. Blizzard truly has good intentions on producing an excellent product, but it's popularity has turned it into a Mcdonald's drive-thru.

With the vast majority of the MMORPG.com community hating WoW for no good reason other than "its a theme park!" or "unbalanced class pvp!" or "i hate the race to endgame!" and i could go on. I fail to see the good sense in posting such polls here now, i bet if the people here actually read the posts by blizzards community team and devs, you can see the radical turn this game is taking on actually fixing the leveling process and actually making it a greatly enjoyable thing to do and not make the race to endgame as important. World of Warcraft is also an old game now, and they are going to re-balance the classes then by all means, stop being so god damn bitter about it. I really get tired of the old grizzled veterans from UO and EQ, yess i can say EQ was a good game, I've never tried UO but seriously? I know im beating a dead horse posting another hate on WoW haters thing but damn..all these negative posts.
/rage over
Also yes i will resubb, Cata looks very promising and following every leak and bit of info as well.
I'll go back just to check out the landscape and explore, but I have absolutely no intentions to participate in the gear grind. I've had my fill of killing dragons for shiny loot week after week.
Well it all depends if the other MMOs can hold my attention enough to care about for more then 2 months....still got a couple buddys stuck in WoW and a peek at what they added could last me a month or 2.
Played:TheRealm,FFXI,WoW,FE,Eve Playing: Nothing( stuck on a ship) Future play: FFXIV,SW:TOR
Nah, I'm curious about it, but enough of my friends still play to give me a whistle-stop tour of all the new sights.
I just know that if I resubbed, I'd have fun for at most a couple of months and then end up burned out again, seems to be my cycle with WoW expansions.
I'm happy with what I'm playing now, so I see no reason to revisit WoW. If I wasn't currently playing (and enjoying) another MMO my answer may well have been different.

This. I'll resub to check out the changes they made, but I won't be buying the expansion.
Activision I'm not gonna to throw them one more $. Please stopping all the "they have nothing to do with Blizzard" they do have, because Morhaime is reporting to this Acti guy, so yes since the lattest "restructuring" they got more control. E.g. the new price tag 40 $ for a retooled expansion?! unbelievable
another example: look at the conference calls Activision is always there so they're part of Blizzard now thats why this company will never be the same
monthly fee + cash shop = no go
Don't like the direction this game has gone
You can't have a challenging PvE game with Ghostcrawler and Chilton
complete hunter relearning. Game is almost 5 years old and now they're changing whole classstyles?
Catacyslm = lore killer never happened in the lore
I absolutely hate the "bring the player not the class" if classes aren't different (feeling unique) theres no way for having them at all
guild/friends are long gone
probably the biggest of all: fearing they gonna destroy everything I loved back in classic: very long/challenging instances, blackrock, wide open zones
Sure it might be interesting how the new zones are looking but thats not worth a resub, maybe I'll take a look at the Worgen if they're going to have a free comeback week and thats about it.
If SE doesn''t screw up I'll be playing FF14 I guess.
We need a MMORPG Cataclysm asap, finish the dark age of MMORPGS now!

Absolutely not.
P2P + cash shop = deal-breaker for me.
Frankly, what is being added just isn't all that interesting, anyway.

NO! It was already a borring game in the first place why would I want to play the same thing just a different skin?
Simple answer: NO.
