Just name it something that describes your game well but doesn't refer to a specific time period or era in the real world unless your game world will be the real world either in poetic or historic form.

Ok... How much time have you been working on your game. What have you done? I think that the names are ok but the person that decides is you so if you want to name this game any other way its up to you.
sadly i work alone for the moment and i have 60% of models made by myself.i started the web pages and i think i will call the game Time OF Knigs. Sounds more atractiv. " u heard about TOK?.Oh yes good game" .But i'm happy to receive any help from anyone who can help.
But if I may for a moment say this; C++ is far better in practical application development than C# is.
And if you're going to do this all yourself, hmm, Get Well Soon from your Nervous Breakdown!
Once you realize just what you're into upto your eyebrows, you might reconsider how healthy you're feeling and either give up the ghost or give up the mmo. I bet you'll give up on the latter.
P.S. - Welcome to programming. Generaly everyone who has a poor attention span and wants to learn programming, decides they're going to make something really big. Usualy ends up being to their detriment.
However, I wish you the luck and be sure to pick a book that teaches you C++ by example and that makes you fix the code.
Combat: You have a skill level and that will help both attack and defense and something that will affect directly attack and defense will be your fright level. You can control you fright level by knowing you have a high attack and defense level. You can also train your abilities (vision, smell, tact, eating) and you can have a sixth and seventh ability there these options to chose from:<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />
1.night vision
2.Mind reading, mind controlling.
3.Predicting
4.Super agility
5.Camouflage (this would not be a magical thing; it would be more of a tree climbing thing or a better name for this would be great hiding ability).
6.Extra Education. (On crafting and/or mining and/or weapons and/or teaching and/or religion and/or building and/or farming and/or medicine and/or fighting.)
All these affect your character in different way. The better your level the less you get frightened by things. Every thing could be a possible enemy has its own Fright level. This means you have your own fright level. For example, if you have a high strength level and your muscles are big and stuff like that your have a bigger effect on your opponent but on the other hand if you are a small thin craftsman your may be the one affected by this. That is what is going to make the game more interesting. All this will affect combat skills directly.
Crafting: You can be able to make pottery from different types of materials like: clay and different types of metal. You can either get the metal your self or buy it. And you can either buy combined metals or combine them your self. This is applies to the clay too. You can sell this to get money and/ or diamond pieces and/or gold, silver bars and/or trade it. You can also sell pure ore from different metals and minerals; like copper, tin, gold, silver, emerald, and iron. You can also smelt metals together and make some other stronger ones. You can chop trees down and craft something out of the trunk of the tree. And I you cut the right tree you can even make things out of the leaf of the trees. You can look for rock boulder and with enough sculpture skills you can make a master piece out of it; and even sell it. You can make nice presents for the king of your region (if you live close to the capital; or you want to travel until you get there). Or also make presents for the highest ranked person in the town or city.
Character emotions: Your character will have an emotion (maybe just basic emotion) like sadness, happiness, fright etc. These will affect him/her in many ways like skill levels will be at their maximum or they will lower. An example would be: if it has a good hiding skill but he is frightened he will panic and hide in a bad a place where he can be seen. And things like that. Not just smiley emotions.
Character Appearance: His appearance is also helps his way of feeling and of course his skill levels. An example would be if he makes some clothes and attaches some leafs and sticks to it and he hides in woods with it he will feel sure of what he is doing and his fright level will lower. And another example is if he has a nice shirt he will feel more comfortable when people see him. But he will not care if he has dirt clothes on when he is alone or working.
Character to character communication 1.1: When talking or trading you can message using the messaging system on the lower part of the screen just like in Runesape. This will help you communicate with others in that game you will have an inbox so that you do not have to be online to receive messages, this only works if you or him/her has you as a buddy if not this is not possible, you can add buddies to your list by putting their username on box below this will automatically will show if he is online or offline.
Character to character communication 1.2: When talking to a storyline character you will have answer options like: Yes, please or no. and/ or I would like a quest or No, thanks .Etc. This will allow you to communicate with the storyline characters. Also when you are far away from your destination you may encounter some storyline characters that may help or ask you for a battle; some even try to take your money. This will not happen in every journey and in only sometimes of the game day; you maybe decided that you will travel when its dark, so you may encounter an assassin. Or when it is day you may encounter a peasant that may give you some extra food or sell it to you, and even offer you a place to stay. I know that this is almost a normal human life but this is what I would want for Future MMOs.
Working: Your character needs some job to stay fit and have money so, you need a job and this does not mean that you have to go to the town and ask for a job but you can become a miner a fisherman and sell your products either outside of the town, in some road close to were you live or in the town. Each of those has their advantages and disadvantages. These would be some:
1.1Road or street.
Disadvantages
-You can get robbed
-There is less people to buy your product
-You have to build your own stand and this will cost money if you buy the materials or you will have to go for the materials your self.
Advantages
- No tax
- You can sell what you want. (Some potions and fur and stuff are not permitted in the town).
1.2 Close to the town (determined radius around the town or city).
Disadvantages
-You can still get robbed but it is unlikely.
-Your stand costs money or materials.
-You can not sell forbidden potions or furs and stuff.
Advantages
-No tax
-There are some guards to protect you if you are being robbed.
-More people (but not as much).
1.3 In town
Disadvantages
-Pay tax (depending on the town and on the size of the stand you acquire).
-Many people selling the same thing as you (some items and this depends on the abundant resources in the region)
Advantages
-More people buying
-You do not have to pay or construct a stand (only tax)
-You are totally protected from robbery.
Quests: This topic is one of those that most of it has been said in this post. But something I would like to add is that you could also have quests not only for your race and level but for your specialty too. And that you can have sub-quests to complete a bigger quest. So that if it is a long quest it does not get boring after awhile and when you finish the sub-quest you have the option of leaving the quest and them returning after when you get better. For example: you have made the first part of the sword but you want to get a better crafting level to finish the sword in a different way that you need a better level so you finish the sub-quest that was finishing the first part and you want to stop you can do that. But you can only have a limit for unfinished quests.
Fort/city building: This can be made by joining a group of friends to help you or hire people to help (not only people but peasants that need a job). You can live in the city and defend it and/ or make it a trading post or making it a seaport (if you live close to a river or channel that leads to the ocean, or close to the ocean). Or make it an outpost for a bigger city. All these options are so you chose one or two of them so you can have fun just getting money from taxes if you are a trading post, or a seaport. Or get money for informing other cities about possible attacks. (Maybe your friends or allys city).
This is a copy form another post I made in another part of mmorpg.com and if you need some more just ask.
