This week’s Community Spotlight focuses on one of GeminiStatic’s many recent simple but conversation sparking threads, namely, “Your Most Anticipated Upcoming MMORPG And Why?” where GeminiStatic simply polls the community on their most looked forward to MMOs.

While we do have a hype meter here at MMORPG.com, it’s often interesting to hear what people are saying overall.

What’s GeminiStatic looking forward to? Some of the usual suspects, with one exception:

“For me...

I have a few...

Xsyon

The Secret World

and ... the most anticipated one for me is Guild Wars 2!”

Guild Wars 2 is definitely my #1

    SWTOR after that

The Secret World is somewhere behind that.

Guild Wars 2, really pleased with what information has been released so far as a long time GW1 player. No other mmo coming out in the near future has me that interested.

    Guild Wars 2 by far.

I'm looking forward to Warhammer 40K. It's one of my favorite IPs, and I'm hoping it's potential can be realized.

Also I can't wait for World of Darkness. CCP is as good as they get, so I'll be checking that game out on day one.

Have an eye on SWTOR as well. Love Star Wars and didn't get the chance to play SWG as I was involved with RTS/FPS games when it was in it's heyday. I'm still not really sure what to expect from SWTOR, only time will tell.

"Mr. Rothstein, your people never will understand... the way it works out here. You're all just our guests. But you act like you're at home. Let me tell you something, partner. You ain't home. But that's where we're gonna send you if it harelips the governor." - Pat Webb

I'm having Deja vu here (for obvious reasons). ;) But, definitely Rift and Guild Wars 2. Both games are headed towards more dynamic game play, which will hopefully result in more replayability as well as a world which seems a bit more alive. However, I'm more interested in RIft due to who is on the dev team.

None...I am tired of getting my hopes up. It's all about micro transactions and get me to end game quick developers now.

I am not waiting or really looking forward to any new mmo, looking forward, ends up with anticipation and expectations, with the way most companies, put out mmo's these days, any type of looking forward to ends up with disapointment.

I have played mmo's for a very long time, I myself am tired of fantasy sword and board, orcs, elves and the like, I guess  SWTOR, will be the only new game, that  I see coming out in the next couple of years I will look at with low expections.. :)

#1 by far is Guild Wars 2

Other than that, SWTOR if they improve quite a bit on what theyve shown so far, as well as mild interest in a few other games until they come out with more info to see what it will be like such as Secret World, World of Darkness, Blade and Soul.

GW2 by a long shot. It looks like the new quest system is going to bring a new feel to MMOs with the player determining what the world will be according to thier actions.  Can't wait !!!

  • TelonosTelonos Member UncommonPosts: 25

    Final Fantasy XIV

    The Secret World
