Eighty percent chance of preordering so far. Least there is no monetary investment beyond the price of the box if it does turn out to be something I despise. Have bought singleplayer games based on info on the box and suffered the consequences, though I am mildly sure that I will enjoy GW2 at least somewhat and thus get at least a months use and moneys worth out of it.
Even though I like most of what I've read about the 2nd, I found absolutely nothing I could like about the first. That alone will probably stop me from pre-ordering until I at least get a chance at a beta, demo, or some substantial reviews. Besides, I've discovered in the past I'll pre-order, and then not end up playing the game I pre-ordered for another month anyway.
Although for the sake of argument I'm assuming the question means a serious committment to buy the game a good month prior to release. Sometimes I'll buy a game a few days before actual release, which is still "technically" a pre-order but not really in the spirit of the question.
The morning sun has vanquished the horrible night.
I have only pre-ordered a game twice in my life. The first one was the original GW... and I was glad I did (but was depressed later on that I did not order the GW Collectors Edition after you could not buy it anymore).
The second was one of the GW expansion packs (I believe it was Nightfall) and I got a little scared because there was news going around that NCSoft did not make enough copies and that there wasn't enough to go around for the ones who pre-ordered. But they came through and I had no problems.
All of the GW games (including servers) ran smooth. I believe this is because of their test weekend which I am sure they will do again. You simply buy a $5 GW2 box and you get to play (and get a sneak peak) for 3 days. So, those of you who are unsure... this is your chance to test drive it before pre-ordering it. Would it be worth your $5??
I myself will be pre-ordering two (2) of the collectors editions (other is for my wife). And yes, I am almost 95% sure they will have a collectors edition. Anet loves their collectors editions, and if they dont have one... I will miss the special start-up weapons, special emotes and all the neat gifts in the box.
Plus this...
"If you've been keeping your eye on that very gorgeous artbook that's currently residing in the Guild Wars 2 store/Penny Arcade store but have been holding off on your purchase, you might want to reconsider. ArenaNet has recently confirmed, via Twitter, that the art book in the Penny Arcade store will not be coming with the Guild Wars 2 collector's edition box."
Boobs? lmao. I think everyone knows what the creator of this thread was doing when he, well.... created this thread.
I'm not going to preorder btw. Probably just go to a game store and buy the box.
Eh the boobs option is for those who dont want to vote but want to see the results or are unsure and for those that just like boobs and would pre order titays.

Only crappie indie companies make you plunk down the full cost for a pre-order and usually only becasue they are out of cash or they know the game is the suck and want to get money out of you while they can.
With a AAA title like Guildwars 2 you go down to your favorite store cough up a measly five bucks and you are set. Get in the beta, get the early access, get the items, etc etc.
Plus there is really no chance of getting burned like other MMOs since there is no subscription. I have played Guildwars off and on as my other game since the day it launched and slowly and eventualy I even bought all the boxes. I can not say the same for Aion, Warhammer or a few others.
A set agenda to give or not give preorder bonuses.
Clear information on what bonuses from which retailers if ANY.
Good digital download distributor.

So my answer is Yes after these things, but notice none of these things really have anything to due with the gameplay. From what I have seen its good enough for me to preorder this today.
Taking part in MMOs for over 10 years now my answer is simple - NO!
I love evreyting I heard about GW2 so far but still...
Pre-ordering is for new, naive and inexperienced players that have yet to be ripped off and let down by developers. This is a business like any other and all they care is your money so, try and learn from other's mistakes if you can handle that hype messing up your judgement. :P

only after a hands-on, CB, OB, as wonderfull its seem its all devs words, not player words, and yet we have performance and lattency issues.
now: GW2 (11 80s). Dark Souls 2. future: Mount&Blade 2 BannerLord. "Bro, do your even fractal?" Recommends: Guild Wars 2, Dark Souls, Mount&Blade: Warband, Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning.
I will pre-order, but will not do collecters editions anymore. did that with guild wars 1, and everquest 2. extra stuff just laid around collecting dust til getting thrown away
Eh maybe. I am staying away from MMO's now so by then I bet the MMO itch will be back. (and I hope there is at least one MMO out there that rewards me with quality gameplay, lol).
Being the MMO addict that I am, I will certainly pre order GW2 to see how I like the game. If all goes well hopefully it will be a game I can stick with for some time.

Im definitly going for a pre-order this time. Like any MMO vet, i first did the wait-and-see approach on GW1. Also i wont be surprised if, as all their pre-orders so far, there's some minor ingame bonus added to it.
Howerver, GW2 is more like an expansion. They now got a giant fanbase rivaling WoW for 1st place, years of experience, loads of servers ready to go (cause gw1 will need far less of them with everybody waiting on or playing gw2). This avoids the main issues such as population, balance, bugs and connection issues that new games generally face. Hell, over 4 years i've never seen GW going down, thats how good they set it up already. They also managed to some standard to balance 90 classes (seriously, you cant perfectly balance that many) while something as small as wow is still hugely struggling on that part even with their 100mil/month from subs - actually, its more like 13mil players on 15/month.. anyway. Also, apart from the original GW:prophecies theyt nailed their bugs in the design proces as well the live game making all their expansions near flawless.
But most of all, its free! If you buy the game now or over 3 months.. well on say wow it saves you 45 euro cause of subs. Cant blame you for waiting out bugs there, indeed logical thing to do. GW is free so gain exactly nothing. If you do it now or 3 months later the price stays the same, you're just running 3 months behind. Might as well start from the beginning then and enjoy it from the start with the rest of the players instead of playing catch-up for weeks or months.

If at first you don't succeed; call it version 1.0
Yup. But not until Anet says a release date and such.

Unless their public demos are completely contrary to what ArenaNet is saying, I will likely pre-order this game.
Or I might do one of those midnight sales if they have one around where I'm living
I never preorder MMO's. GW2 might be an exception though. Also because it doesnt require a monthly fee.

I never pre-order but if I ever do it it will probably be GW2.
Way too early to make that decision though.
Need more info.
By the time the game hits open Beta I'll probably make up my mind though.
I care about your gaming 'problems' and teenage anxieties, just not today.
Of course I am going to pre-order this. Can't wait
I will have to see pre order offer. I doubt it

I'll just wait a couple of months, maybe longer. Not really playing to many MMOs these days plus don't have the time. It seems pretty decent, though.
