Come on, you ask me to be fair: Are you REALLY implying that poll's results are valid?
And read through that whole thread; you will see some familiar names repeatedly.
And I did not say 5 people don't like the game; it's a niche game, it's not for everyone. All I'm saying is that 5 people spit most the venom, then say "Look at all this hate, the game MUST suck"
No.. that wasn't the poll I meant.. I meant the ones previously linked in other threads. Not going to dig them up as it really doesn;t matter what peope USED to think. What matters is what people think NOW... and what they think on July 9th. Time will tell.

Don't have to, look at the official forums. A lot more than 5 people think the game sucks. Why worry what's happening on MMORPG.com.
Yup, they're all in the non-subscriber forums. That gives me pause... not that there's no discontent in the sub forums, but just because a bunch of troll-posts pop up in public general chat doesn't really say much...
I had started downloading the patch from the primary MO game client a few hours before I found this information. Then I did what this person suggested and it is almost caught up to the MO game client download. The average download rate from the MO game client is ~1kb to ~ 100kb with it being closer to the ~10kb most of the time. The Bittorent one is ~20kb to ~250kb+ while being around ~50kb most of the time. I figure I will let both of them go and see which finishes first. Netflix Farscape marathon until it finishes woot! Netflix
From what it sounds like this game is pretty different from the majority of games being released. It will be a refreshing change from the usual enter into game, find quest NPCs right near you, and do easy quests until max level. I like that it doesn't have a beginner tutorial and hand holding. I am not getting my hopes up though while I wait for the downloads to complete. Quite possible I will hate it, but it is doubtful as I have a fondness for unique games.

While I agree with this, I have to wonder why you repeat it in nearly every thread in which you post.
Because it resolves the circular argument of "5 people hate the game", "Only 2% of players like the game". The only answer will come when people have to pay their subs or cancel them. That's really the only number that matters after launch.

By looking at the official forums, a very large percentage of the actual players enjoy the game.
FunkmastaD was correct - the majority of vitriol poured out on this forum came from a small handful of people, and was not representative of overall sentiment toward the game. They were clearly trying to create and reinforce a negative perception of the game through volume posting and spin.

You guys whining about the game and site not working, it's launch day you know ? Did you seriously expect to be able to play at all ? I dont get why peoples need to buy a game on launch day, problems are going to happen, game is going to crash, site is gonna be overloaded. Dont tell me you expect to be able to play problem free on launch day, especially from a game that's been performing so horribly during the beta. Sorry but if this seems blunt but it's the truth. Dont buy a game on lauch day and expect it to run flawlessly.
I agree. How dare someone expect to get what they paid for? Do you seriously expect your new car to just start right up and run after you buy it? I mean there is break in time and all that stuff before you actually get to DRIVE the stupid thing. /sarcasm off
You see, it is people like the fanboi above who are ruining the industry in general. With an attitude like that, more and more developers figure they can release some half assed beta game that takes 3 days to get into after launch, and fully expect people to pay money for it while they finish developing basic game mechanics. Call me crazy but when I buy a television, I expect it to work. Not plug it in and watch a blank screen for 3 days while I wait for a software update to fix it. It is NOT asking too much to buy a game and expect to play it the first day. Experience has taught me that this is usually not the case, but when idiots like yourself actually think it's fine and dandy then you are sending a message to future game developers that this is an accepted practice and it should NOT be accepted as the norm.

For the people that are waiting days for the patches to download here is some information that may help you:
"First off this issent so much a question but rather an answare to a lot of questions being asked the past 2 days.
in order to speedup your download you can use your own torrent download software insted of the client, for some resone this seems to go a lot faster.
what you need besides torrent software is the patch file which is located in your "mortal online directory"/patches/ (mopatch0to05)
drag this file to your torrent software as you allways do and watch it download at a lot higher rate than usuly.
once the file is done downloading, copy it to your
"mortal online directory"(mortalonline) directory.
now startup the client again and watch it download the patch very fast and now your able to apply the first part of the patch.
next is the 2 part of the patch which is a 265mb file." - Cyberraptor via MO forums from 2009
