the title says it all,i reported them then they banned me.buyer beware,you get what you pay for and if you do pay you may regret it.mind your p's ans q's as riot cannot take critisism.i see them as a combination of childish and criminal,had i spent any money the issue would be in litigation.

You have the right to report a company to the BBB... They also have the right to refuse you service. What did you expect?
Everyone know the BBB is a bunch of cack... well except people in the US, afterall its hardly a ringing endorsment for fair business practice.

edit: You don't have to spend any money at all when you play LoL... Was your choice to pay them. I'm confused as to what your complaint could have been.

LOL very true. LoL is a cool game.. and I can't imagine what kind of an issue would take place where you would want to report to the BBB... I bought a champ... didn't like him after a day.. then got the Riot points returned.. of course, they didn't give money back but what the hell.. was just a couple dollars and I could buy another one if I want.
But you could always get another account.. and start playing.. don't be dumb and report them to the BBB again with that account though LOL.

I make sure to point this out everytime someone tries to use the BBB as proof of something.
The BBB will give a company a low ranking simply for not responding to BBB questions, and they admit to it on the ratings page. The vast majority of bad rankings on the BBB are companies who choose not to do business with the BBB, it is a bullshit system and anyone who believes in it is ridiculous.
Essentially if you respond to the BBB everytime someone complains to them about you as a company, even if there is some merit to the complaint, you will hold on to a high ranking. Don't use the BBB as a measure of anything.
Now as to what other people said, don't piss off someone who can make things worse for you and expect nothing to happen. Report a company to the BBB when you no longer want to deal with them, not while you still want to play their game.

i lost interest when riot showed how childish and thin skinned they were,havent played a match since june12th.
account was banned june25th for 'tos' violation,har dee har har.
i was -ip blocked- for reporting them.i initially reported them because they silenced my forum account without warning or notification just -poof- cannot post.they WANTED/TOLD me to create an EXTRA account just to post with,thus allowing them to pad their player account numbers,i refused and they banned me.they claim its because i went around the language filter,but if they ban everyone who does that the forum would be empty wouldnt it ?
i hurt their feelings so they banned me,plain and simple.like the poster above and the douchy bus driver

First of all, you didn't spend a dime, and therefore are owed no money. The BBB's job is to take any serious complaint to heart, and depending on what exagerrations you may have fed them, they may have contacted the makers of LoL because of it. The BBB never gives your information to them though.
the underlying fact here is that you sent a moot complaint to the BBB, and then you likely got yourself banned for bragging about it on thier forums. Like a moron, and like how you are doing it here right now. Now here you are to preach about how you're doing us all a favor.

If you did post a stupid response saying "This game sucks and I reported it to the BBB for sucking so much", they are going to lock and remove it. The proof it existed is gone, but I know that's exactly what you did.

F2P game sucks and your surprised? You get what you pay for yet you didnt spend a penny? Just what did you report them for? A sucky game experience?
WOW isnt great because it has 12 million players. WOW has 12 million players because its great.
While I have no idea what this game is about, Iv never seen it, there has to be more to your story then what you posted. Iv read quite a bit about the bbb, not any more then any one else I dont supose, but just from people sending complaints in for hardware manufacturers and then posting threads about it. I cant say Iv seen anything like this though.

a little background for those who do not play the game.
if you check the screenshot in the post where i mentioned 'shrooms' you will see the champ i was playing *immp* was teemo. if you check teemos info on the websites database you will see he has a skill called noxious trap.with noxious trap he plants an invisible magical exploding mushroom which causes magical poison damage over time. many many teemo players refer to them as shrooms,not mushrooms,not bombs,but shrooms. anyone who PLAYS the game would get the reference immediately and KNOW i was talking about teemo and *cue ominious music**dun dun DUUUUUUNNN* not drugs.
search out my posts and you will find that they are no worse and generally nowhere near as bad as what ALOT of posters throw out there,yet I was silenced *the game account was NOT banned until i reported riot,only the forum access* .

he never told me why,he never gave an example. again i say i was silenced without one single warning, nor did i ever get notification of the ban. jesse is an admintype within riot he did not offer to look into the issue, he simply says 'sorry' and moves on. when i asked him if he would look into it his response was 'make a new account to post with'. keep in mind that at THAT time my game account was fine and not locked,so in essence he wanted me to create an -extra- account just to post with.
no warning,no notification,no discussion,no second chances, just 'sorry make a new account'. how is that for customer service ?
hey, im not going to say that your getting good customer service, but as with all games and in fact all private business they have the right to refuse service. personally if it were me i would probably just find something else to play unless you really like the game. i dont blame you at all for being mad about the situation. and i see your point of view, but unfortunately as a "customer" in this day and age you (and i) dont have a lot of "rights". of course one of the tools at your fingers is this site right here, by spreading information about the way you were treated (honestly i would hope) and letting others know what to expect. theres many many articles i have read on this site about legitamate complaints about mmo companies/studios and therefore i choose not to deal with some of them. thats about the best tool you have in the mmo market as a customer, word of mouth.

Your access to our game forums was restricted due to your repeated violation of our terms of use including (but probably not limited to) the following:
Repeatedly circumventing our language filter
Repeated reference to illegal illicit drugs
In addition to direct Terms of Service violations, it was determined by our support staff that your presence on our message board was not contributing to the positive and friendly atmosphere that we strive to provide for our players. Due to this, we removed your ability to participate in our forum community, with the goal of improving the overall atmosphere for the majority of players.
After your initial complaint to the BBB, we attempted to research the issue, but our support team was unable to locate your account. Thusly, we responded with a generic reply indicating that you likely violated the Code of Conduct portion of our Terms of Use. You were given an alternative of creating a new account (with the stipulation that you must still follow our TOS) as we believe that presence on our forums with your original account and reputation would be toxic to the atmosphere we provide.
You rebutted our response, stating that we offered no proof validating the ban - which of course was true. As we weren't able to locate your account at the time, and we could not provide any information to you to justify the restriction of your forum account. You went on to state that most companies provide a warning prior to restricting account access. This may be true in many instances, and while we prefer to warn in advance, (and often do), we are certainly not obligated to do so, especially in instances where there are egregious offenses.
Additionally, you've repeatedly insulted the Riot Games staff and League of Legends for quite some time. Here are several quotes from our forums (offensive language censored - MMORPG Mods feel free to remove if they cross the line):
"riot is obviously full of griefers and they enjoy hearing people complain about **** they could easily change,but refuse to,as it is funny to them"
"league continues to dissapoint and annoy"
"this game is ALWAYS ****.win,lose or thumb your own ass:the game is trash"
"league of legends is a godam f*****g piece of s**t,a big green steaming turd."
"league is a piece of s**t,everything is SLOW,and matches :TAKE TOO F*****G LONG "
"losing in a horribly balanced code monkey dump joke of 'advanced' math matchmaking vomit match wouldnt suck -as much- if every fuking game didnt take 25-50 minutes.hell we only way the games CAN end in 25 mins is with surrender."

Based on your repeated and public tirades against Riot and League of Legends, I actually felt like restricting access to your game account, (which was completely justified based on the previously stated TOS violations), would have received such a negative response. I'm actually quite surprised that you're so visibly upset.
Since Riot is a customer and community focused organization, we put a strong emphasis on ensuring that as many players as possible have an enjoyable experience with our products and community. One down-side of being a free game is that some people don't feel enough attachment to their experience to behave appropriately online given the anonymity of the situation.
Despite all that you've said and done though, as a gesture of goodwill, I'd be more willing to restore access to your game account, but will not restore access to your forum account. I believe this resolution to be more than adequate given the circumstances, and I believe most would agree.
I'd understand if you choose not to take me up on my offer, as you apparently quite enthralled by another game - Just let me know!

I am not familiar with this game, or the parent company, however I am a long time retail manager. This is actually the level of customer care I love to see. The poster has no realistic complaints and IMHO should thank these people for their professional attitude!
My guess is now that Vss3rd just got owned, he will have nothing more to say on the matter.
And btw, well done Steve. It's nice to see well done customer care, in spite of very justified reasons for perma-banning someone. The quality of the community is important to retaining players, and it's refreshing to see a developer getting involved.
