Wow... it's even simpler than I thought... it's basically just what the Star Wars kids section is right now http://www.starwars.com/games/playnow/ with all the mini-games except they've found a way to possibly make some cash off it...
Why do I write, create, fantasize, dream and daydream about other worlds? Because I hate what humanity does with this one.
I dount SOE bothered investing too heavily in this as ToR is going to destroy it without a trace. I can't see anyone playing this once Bioware release The Old Republic.
No I can see why SOE have gone the route they have though it does seem a step back and unlikely to make best use of the IP or the legions of Clone Wars fans.
You realise this ISNT aimed at "hardcore" mmoers right?
Oh wait i forgot mmoers seem to think every game is made for them.
Apparently stating the truth in my sig is "trolling" Sig typo fixed thanks to an observant stragen001.
I wonder if the auther of the article has seen the trailer. You can also be a clone trooper, not just a jedi. Plus look at the graphics, their using the Free Realms engine with a Clone Wars skin. I'm betting it will be exactly like Free Realm, just with a Star Wars: the Clone Wars twist. I might try it for a second, as I am more waiting for Star Wars: The Old Republic. More than any other game out there. That goes for online and offline.
When we get back from where we are going, we will return to where we were. I know people there!

I think you missed the point of this game... it is for the Cartoon Network clubbers... Kids... Children... People with the attention span of a wet fart... A quick cash injection.
It was never meant to rival BW's behemoth.
Wouldn't a wet fart "linger" with you?
So long attention span?
I think it is 50/50 with a wet fart or a dry fart...it all has to do with the sound and smell factor.
no no no... a wet fart comes along with something other than hot air and noise

Uh no, the author actually got to play the game. I'm pretty sure that trumps seeing a trailer.
It doesn't make sense, when kids already adore Free Realms. I've played Free Realms and it was obvious to me that the kids loved the open, persistent world aspects of the game. There was a lot more adventuring going on than mini games, I can tell you that much.
It's obvious this wasn't made to compete with any MMO - it's made strictly for kids, like Club Penguin. TOR won't "destroy" it since it's not even meant to compete - it's not an MMO. To say that this piece of entertainment will get destroyed by TOR is ignorant, honestly. It's like saying Civ V is going to destroy Barbie's Horse Adventure II.
I make spreadsheets at work - I don't want to make them for the games I play.
While I kind of like the Clone Wars animated series, I find this so-called MMO just a little lacking. It might be fine for those under the age of 10 (or less) but I doubt any serious Star Wars fan would give it more then a passing glance.
What a shame. Before anyone states the obvious, yes I know this game is for kids. However, so is Free Realms and even that is much more of a real MMO than this will be. While simplistic, the Free Realms engine isnt that bad and CWA should have been more than this.
My kids looked at this, and looked at Clone Wars Republic Heroes. They chose the latter. They play it on our PS2 and on their Nintendo D.S..
It's fun. There are different planets for them to adventure on, and they get to actually be their favourite Clone Wars characters. There's no cash shop. We know exactly what we're getting, and how much it's going to cost. They unlock cool stuff solely via ingame progress. They don't need my Visa card, which they don't have access to--especially for virtual items that can be here today and gone tomorrow at the whim of someone at SOE.
My kids love Clone Wars. I enjoy watching right along with them. When we wanted to decide on a video game version of these adventures, it was a no-brainer. Virtual lobby with minigames and a cash-shop aimed at 10 year olds? Hahaha, not bloody likely.

I threw up in my mouth a little seeing what Star Wars has become.
An immensely popular intellectual property that is enjoyed by fans of all ages?
Sounds like a (minor) disappointment, I doubt my kid will enjoy it.
Its for kids not us, you should have got a ten year old boy to review it.
no no no... a wet fart comes along with something other than hot air and noise
No kidding.
clone wars has better engine? lol
Uh no, the author actually got to play the game. I'm pretty sure that trumps seeing a trailer.
Dont know what SOE is thinking making a video game for kids. Whats the world coming to?
WOW isnt great because it has 12 million players. WOW has 12 million players because its great.

Take the Magic: The Gathering 'What Color Are You?' Quiz.

So....this means we're removing Global Agenda from the site finally?
My kids will probably like it... for a short while.
so...
The problem is: SOE didn't realize yet, that you don't make money with 10 years olds...
Really? I dont know what 10 yr olds you have been around but I know quite a few parents who buy games for their kids.
WOW isnt great because it has 12 million players. WOW has 12 million players because its great.
Oooooh man, can't wait to get my STAR TYPER on!
my friends 10 yr old brother will fall in love with this.
