Will you be playing on PS3 or Computer?

Will you be playing on PS3 or PC?

I thought  since I will be playing on PS3 (seeing as my computer, in all it's 4 core, 8 gig ram, Nvidia GTS 250 glory can hardly run this game) who else would be playing on that system and who would be playing on computer. So I decided to make a poll to see. Also I heard that the game may play better on PS3, but that could just be people's personal biases coming into play.

P.S. It's coming out in March for PS3! They said it was to be released with PC a while back, guess that changed...

Well, since the ps3 version isn't coming out until March, then I will say that I'm going to play it on my Laptop. The benchmark is a joke in my opinion since I can run every other game I've installed on high settings just fine.

Apparently I was ill-informed, but anyways, looks like I'll just have to wait till september to see I can run the game...on my computer.

I really doubt you'll have a problem. I probably will have to play it on low, but if I can't run it, then I think something is wrong, even with a 8600M GS. My card isn't top notch by any stretch of the imagination, but I've had zero problems playing any game.

What makes you think they can't make it run on the ps3, I've been hearing it is coming for the ps3 (though I'm not really checking for this game myself).  I'll try it if it comes to PS3 but no way my pc is going to run it and I won't upgrade just for this game.

but yeah, to call this game Fantastic is like calling Twilight the Godfather of vampire movies....

Well Age of Conan runs beautifully on full settings DX10, so I expected that with this game i shouldn't have a problem cause the engine it runs on and the scripting should be much better since the company has an excellent track record on making stable games. So maybe I'll be fine, but none the less once PS3 version comes out I will be getting that.

have no problems running FFXIV on my PC, and didnt score high enough on the test to run it in high.

Really? Well that is a relief, so I can still look forward to the September 22nd date then?

would need someone with your GFX card to answer really, the game aint proper optimized, going from ppl complaint about the locked FPS in the beta to ppl saying they crash from their cards - without those being bad cards.

would think you could run it  with your system, but and make promises.. :P

but the benchmark aint worth much is what Im saying.

Where is the option for both?

Will get it on the PC first (because it comes out first).  If it turns out to be a decent game that i am still playing by March then i will grab it on the PS3 for relaxing grinding.

I will be on a PC, but if the control scheme is like FFXI, i will be hooking up my old PS2 netplay controller.

If a ps3 can handle that game I think your pc will be just fine.

Will be using my computer no doubt.  Have no problems running on hi res in Beta though I know the specs might change a bit when the final version is in place.

As for the PS3 version of the game from what I understand it is graphically downgraded versus the PC version.

Agreed, I too will be doing this, even if i have to play the game in low quality.

Me and a few of my friends are gonna get it on our PS3 mainly because my friends have old computers.

ummm this might be a newbie question but if I got it on the PC first, made my account, played on the PC, then got the PS3 version and still use the same account?

    thanks :)

If it is like FFXI, yep. both PC and PS2 players existed on the same servers. I expect this to be the same thing.

The official benchmark is bugged as far as I'm concerned. I think it purposely drops a few k to seem, I dunno, impressive.

    Still.

My girlfriend is getting a PC version to play. If it doesn't suck, I'll get a PS3 one to play just cuz I like the idea of MMOing with a controller.

I kill other players because they're smarter than AI, sometimes.

You can use a controller on the PC version.

Eh, I haven't bought a PC pad in years. I got 4 for the PS3. It's a matter of logistics.

Plus I have a feeling she'll be wanting to play it on my machine rather than either of hers.

Technically I will be playing on both. Wife and I will be swapping back and forth based on who gets to the PS3 first. :)

aren't the server from ps3 to pc is seperated? or do you both just want to try it on both?
