Well I'm a twenty seven year old gamer, relatively new to online gaming and as far as I have seen, immaturity is universal. Seen adults and young gamers act like fools, been laughed at myself for being such a noob. Well that said just wanted to also say that I would also like to meet some people willing to help me learn the ropes when Guild Wars opens, I'm just looking to have some fun and meet some cool people, so hope to see everyone in game. Take care all and don't take it all to serious.

Between my Wife and my 1 year old son I'll be lucky if I can get on a couple of hours a week so I'm looking to either join or start a laid back, casual guild that plays for fun.  If anyone knows of such a guild or would be interested in starting a guild like that then let me know.

thats right about my speed. I spend most my time in EQ II, but want something to go screw around in when I need alittle something different.

Hmm, well then I guess I'd better find out what a melandru's stalker is or I may be in big trouble =)  Are they those flaming dog things that cluster around the feet of my W/N driving me crazy?

Anyway, I shall look forward to our encounter ... who knows, maybe we'll even hook up and hunt sometime ;)

Ditto.  Let's all just keep in touch and maybe we'll just start some laid back thing, assuming a few people are interested.

My current "main" is Ahcut Angl, the aforementioned W/N.  He's only level 8 or 9 ... not sure if I will keep him as a main, but I am liking the W/N combo . Anyway, when I get settled I will post some toon names.

Guild Wars is a game based on competition and tournaments, and because of this fact you will find that there are next to no players/guilds that are laid back.
think of counter-strike and mix it with a RPG setting. how often do you enter a counter strike server to find there are no immature players?

This is not true, I have 0 interest in the PvP part of guild wars but have had loads of fun playing with The Lost Haven.

Perfect example of children ruining online games...Ex: CoA spamming Guild Recruitment forum...enough said you know you did it, and you know your an impatient bastard like the rest of the children out there. Make "1" topic, wait for responses, if you get no responses, wait some more. Bumping = immature. All you are doing is making an ass out of yourself and are taking up too much advertisement space.

Child ruining it for gamers?  What are you talking about?  I was responding to a simple statement with my opinion.  What makes you think I'm a child ruining it for the gamers?  Not all gamers like just PvP and to say that Guild Wars is not fun for PvE is wrong in my opinion and I believe I'm justified in stating it.  If you don't like my opinion that is fine but I do not see where you are justified in attacking me personally.

I'm a GS-14 Computer Engineer for the US Federal Government.  I write the regulations that dictate how radars are to be maintained throughout the National Airspace (that means the whole country).  I provide third level engineering support for the entire FAA.  Third level engineering support would be like you call for support on your computer, they cannot answer you so they bump you to advanced support, then they cannot help you so they bump you up again.

    Lets keep it civil folks.

    1) Stereotypes and generalizations exist for a reason. If you're in the minority and it doesn't apply to you, then great, but don't get offended because someone generalized, just be proud of the fact that it doesn't apply to you. I mean really, in the internet world who's to know or care how old you really are behind that screen unless you act in ways to make them assume one way or another. A lot, if not most, younger people, kids if you will, do act immature, but there are also a lot out there who don't.

    2) On a side note, my Guild, Desolation, will have a branch in GW. I'm currently reworking the website and forums and everything to incorporate the new games we'll be branching into soon. However, we are a very old and well established guild. I've been running it for over 4 years now through various games. We currently have a strong presence in EQ2 and WoW as well as a couple other older games. We are the definition of a mature, laid back guild. I'm 30 and most of the core members are around that age. We don't play the game to be the most uber or badass guild, we play it for the reason it was made, simply to have fun. We have a dedicated website (which as I said is currently being reworked, but behind the scenes so our forums will continue to operate unhindered) and we also have a dedicated 100 User Ventrilo server. So if you're interested swing by our forums (website is linked in my Sig) and chat, get to know us, see what we're all about. The GW branch is still being worked out as far as all the details go, but you're welcome to come by and offer suggestions and whatnot.

    Have a good day! :)
