Game running like crap even if you get in which I did for all of 10 minutes.
Anyway shaking my head sadly and calling it a night.
Maybe tomorrow will bring a game that works at least as well as it did in CB.

is this lobby error a known error? if so why isnt it fixed, this makes the devs look inept. after all beta is to fix bugs, ones that persist make them look bad.
it means either server down or at capacity i believe...
so its not like something they can fix...
If you have patience keep trying i believe the lobby is erroring due to all the people sitting in lobby server making new avatars atm.
add another server, problem fixed.
any company that expects it not to overflow and bug out when they put EVERYONE from ALL COUNTRIES on ONE SERVER, are a bunch of idiots. at least have regional servers.
The lobby server is not a world server, it's probably the "hub" at character creation everyone has to go through to get to their actual world server, of which there are several listed if you check the beta website.
wow i successfully added my key to my account and Im getting the 50001 error saying i don't have access...thats when im not getting the lobby error.
only 7 server for all world....
sigh i had bad night try obtain the key, now i cant log for this error ¬¬
they say add more server is more tester apply it...

there is like 10 servers to pick from so it is not lack of servers i don't think. I been playing for 2 hours now and so far i'm loving it the game is beautiful.
And i like that the game doesn't hold your hand and you kinda just gotta explore and figure things out.
it is also running pretty well for me. And i don't have an uber system probably middle of the road one.
I'm definatly pre ordering this game now.
I dunno why, but I just really expect this game to fail.
A few people are saying they had the same error, or the 50002, but got later got in, and vice versa, they were in, and are now getting the error.
It might just be a load issue somehow, i'd give it till tomorrow to see if your still having a problem with this
The servers are being stress tested so ofc you will see lag, they will need to test too see what to cap ther server limit at.

Well, from my experiences with the game - it's just not all that entertaining. And with servers, once again, based in Japan... eh.. I'll just say this.
I've been playing MMORPGs for a long, long time. And I've developed a sort of 'sixth sense' which just tells me when an MMORPG isn't going to last very long, or struggle over all. So far, I haven't been wrong once - every prediction I've made has panned out.
I just feel that Final Fantasy XIV will fail. Believe me or not, laugh and post little images if you will - but serously. This game just isn't going to work out. Square Enix is still riding on the success of their former name, SquareSoft.. That company is not the way is was, and it shows. They'd best just stick to Fighting Games, because that's what they do best now. They just can't build RPGs & MMORPGs worth a damn anymore.
When I say that can't make them worth a damn, I mean for the masses. Not those of you in the minority who actually 'liked' thier RPG games since 2003.
stress testing at midnight? i'd think they'd try it at peak hours
final fantasy series has been a joke since final fantasy 7, that was the last playable one. once they lose their obsession with metrosexual blondes with emotional issues then i might try it.
This is their peak hours. Japan is thier prime audience.
It looks that the Lobby server for the game and the SE members log on are on the same server. They sure are being stressed.
I was able to get logged in once then had a crash now getting the 13100 error. It's just congestion.
and thats why it will fail everywhere but japan.
its hard for people to test it out when they cant get past the login server.

You are the definition of a fanboy. These forums are for final fantasy 14. Anyone can voice their opinion on the game no matter if they are positive or negative as long as its constructive.
My response will be simple. This is a discussion forum on MMORPG.com, we're not on the Final Fantasy XIV official forums - if I were there, say what you like. Just as you tell me to not play, or not post - why should you care to read what I have to say in the first place? If you're not interested in the opinions of other, why even come onto a forum?
From what I saw and the little bit I played (moved my character around) it's stunning. There was lag which I expected. Not sure of how much content there was. It seemed like we were only allowed to go so far then it said "you are leaving instance" and poof, back at the city entrance. That's when I crashed..
No, I'm the definition of someone who finds it ridiculous for people to come into a forum of a game that they apparently have no interest in and start their doom-saying.
He had enough interest to give the game a shot and test it in alpha.
