    Version Update Difficulties (Sep. 2)

    I got the patch installed, everythings working again, but when I log in it still says they're doing maintenance... is it the same for you guys?

    Hmmph i get no local or remote connection. Anyone with the same issue?

    So just to confirm when I log in it should immediately go to the maintenance page correct? Until servers come back up?

    You'll get as far as the start screen. You logged in with your account, pressed play and the game starts. You shouldn't be able to get any further then that till the lobby server is back up.

    You'll get as far as the start screen. You logged in with your account, pressed play and the game starts. You shouldn't be able to get any further then that till the lobby server is back up.

    Okay then I need some help, because I can't get past my log in, I don't get to play, or the game starting, right when I enter in my information on the client, it goes right to the maintenance page... What is going on with that?

    i'm sorry mate. I'm not such a wizzkid who knows all about these things. my best bet would be just to wait a while till all servers are back up and try again. fingers crossed ^^

    Mine when I press play it tries to log then after a few seconds it goes back to title and shows me a blue window saying something 13001 error that I couldn't connect.

    Is it that the maintenance you ppl talking about?

    Yeah I guess i'll just sit back and relax, If not I guess i'll reinstall, even though that'll take forever.

    Well I get to the log in screen, when you open the client, then right when It logs me in it goes to a maintenance page that says the same message in 4 different languages, saying Maintenance is currently being conducted or w/e, please check back later. So everyone is saying they're getting farther than that, so it looks like something is wrong with my client...

    Open up the patch files in an external torrent program and they will download in < 1 minute.  They are in my docs -> my games -> ffxiv beta -> downloads -> ffxiv -> d98235 something -> meta will have both the D2010-9-02 or whatever torrent files.  Open in another torrent program, dl, copy dl'ed files into the my docs -> my games -> ffxiv beta -> downloads -> ffxiv -> d98235 something -> patch folder and the meta folder and run patcher and it will be done.

    I would just like to say that you are the man for making the simplest shortest and easiest instructions for fixing this garbage.  Thank you.

    I'll wait for when servers are back up again hopefully nothing is wrong with our clients.

    Still deciding what server to choose hehe at the moment only 1 (Mostly for the name) Wutai server

    so once you torrent the patches how do you install them, ff patcher still tries to redownload them even though theyre all in the fucking patch folder now

    99.5% on the first of what is now six files that need to be downloaded.

    The good news is that square is releasing patches at a brisk rate.

    The bad news is that they are releasing patches faster than their downloader can send them out. :(
