I agree more people should know about this game. I have been telling all my real life friends about how much I am enjoying this game so far and how much of a fresh breath of air it has been to me. It is the first mmo I have played in a long time that has not been completely dumbed downed. Having said that I am not a "hardcore mmo everything else especially WOW sucks cause its easy player" or anything like that, but I do enjoy how complex this game is. I feel rewarded in this game when I gain levels or skill up in crafting. I absolutley love the fact "through level 14 at least" how you can make all your gear, weapons extc.. and the fact that it actually takes a long time to make these things.(I know you can craft while offline trust me I do it and love this feature). This game makes me feel like an apocalypse really has happened and you are crafting gear and weapons to survive out the wild, not just powerleveling your crafting so you can make money off it. I also enjoy (even if you spec to get products from merchants cheaper) how expensive everything seems to be and how you actually have to work at obtaining things within the game. The Attribute system reminds of old games where you could make your character whatever you wanted to be and were not forced to a be certain class and have a certain skill set. Having said all this, the game is not for everyone but if you are like me and have been looking for something different for a long time you might want to check it out. (I have been looking for something better since DAOC and haven't found it yet thats why I still play it, I know this is a totally different kind of game but it is a very good one which I hope more people will play.)

I've actually failed to engage in PvP because we agreed that bullets were too expensive and it wasnt worth it.
maybe thats the reason why we always have to save chips, we need a lot of bullets to survive.
I just recently tested the trial and discovered how fun FE really is. Because I generally don't play FPS type games, I never truly considered FE even though I followed the development of the game because of its unique setting among MMOs. But after a long time playing WoW, I decided to cut it off after the RealID debacle and the sheer fact that the game became a mind-numbing grind for epic gear. I realized it was time to move on and never return.
So after messing around a bunch of free trials, I decided to give FE a try. I didn't play FPS type games but what's the harm? Boy, I wish I played this game from the start. I've quickly learned that playing it FPS-mode in combat really draws you into the game, making combat more immersive and visceral. I think the world is well done and believable. The crafting is fun and I enjoy the ability to craft while offline, ala EVE. It didn't take me long to move past the trial account and buy the game.
Will I get bored of it eventually? Possibly but right now I am having so much fun, it feels like I'm playing my first real MMO again so long ago. I have the same excitement as I log in, searching for new places to explore and new things to craft.
FE has some rough edges, no doubt but it's got a lot of good things going for it and a ton of potential. If the devs stick with their guns and not cave to what's generally accepted as MMO gameplay I truly believe that FE can be the next EVE: an unique MMO built by an independent developer fulfilling a niche audience and doing it well with great profit.

I'm not spoiled on smooth combat, I came from MMOs, not FPS games, so I can't argue with you on that one, maybe it is clunky for you. And sometimes the landscapes can be a bit monotonous.
But obnoxious community? Really? It's the best I've seen in any game I've played, by lightyears. You must have run into some really bad luck with picking a clan or something.
Customer Service, bless their patient little hearts, have helped me with two problems, one of which was entirely my fault. And they responded to my emails within thirty minutes. They were helpful and very friendly.
I'm a fan of this game, it's true, I could hold some bias, although I could do with ditching the quests entirely, and eventually this questing detail may prove to be a gamebreaker for me. So it's not my perfect game, much as I was hoping it would be. But your last two comments make me wonder what secret, invisible server you met this obnoxious community on and what incompetent customer service personnel were running it. Because it's the complete opposite of my experience.
I am convinced there is only one way to eliminate these grave evils, namely through the establishment of a socialist economy, accompanied by an educational system which would be oriented toward social goals.
I'm a fan of this game, it's true, I could hold some bias....

Combat is weird for ranged when i attack a mob it runs at me in sharp fast zig zag patterns then when it reachs me it continues to run from front of me to back while ducking. Then when i finally manage to kill it the mob bounces 20 feet in the air before landing so i can loot it.
Other then that the game is pretty cool very unique the skill based stuff is really cool they only need to make information on skills more Available and informative because respec is still a pain in the ass. Really the sandbox crowd loves the game because of skill based and crafting and the pvp crowd loves it cause of multi faction pvp note i said multi faction not 2 factions.

I tried FE and think it probably has the most potential of any MMO out there. The problem was, I just couldn't get past the clunky combat. If they overhauled the combat system, I'd be back in a heartbeat.

This is THE best MMO for me at the moment. Just recently there was a combat animation sync and update and its great.
The combat is now very good.
And one of the best things with Fallen Earth is that there is no loading anywhere HURRAY
Content is fine. There is so much to do in crafting and trying all the diffierent skills.
Soon there will probably be housing since camps are now being improved this half of 10.
Your camp and tent will then stay in the world even after log out and no matter what the distance is.
