I see us Elezen might be a tad under represented but I like being a rare site traveling the world of Eorzea, so don't just stare at the weird tall Elf, say Hi I don't bite.

Everyone knows tall Elzen bite! You liar!!! hahaha But seriously though, Go you! BE the minority. =D
You wanted my time, so I played you. You wanted my money, I forked it over. You wanted my soul, I gave it willingly. Not to complain... but when do I get my end of the deal? And no, I don't want your flippin' carrot. If you can't do that give me back my youth and keep the change. Why don't you try chasing your own damn carrot for a change? I'll gladly hold the stick.
The retail client will be almost 23 GB of data. Open beta we had 9 GB of data. Personally, I don't think we've seen all the jobs in the game. As such, I'm not sure yet. Of existing jobs that we know of for sure, I'm going conjurer with cooking and all the gathering professions. Saying that, if Flayer is in, I'm so there. I'd love nothing more than chasing cat women around with a whip!
Fear not fanbois, we are not trolls, let's take off your tin foil hat and learn what VAPORWARE is:
"Vaporware is a term used to describe a software or hardware product that is announced by a developer well in advance of release, but which then fails to emerge after having well exceeded the period of development time that was initially claimed or would normally be expected for the development cycle of a similar product."

We have not, but they're not going to be available initially. They will be released in the updates that occur within the first 2 years of the game's lifespan. They have prepared potentially over 10 classes to be released within that timeframe.
Using LOL is like saying "my argument sucks but I still want to disagree".
hum... so wait? people realy are goona play this game.. wow! I thought it was just a big joke.
Who woulda thunk.
It's all a big conspiracy, I'm sure the Illuminati are behind it.

Well we know Musketeer and Arcanist are in game and have to be earned somehow. Although, it seems there will be a lot more Arcanists than Musketeers by the way this thread is going. (lots of casters who make cloth)
Drop the next-gen marketing and people will argue if the game itself has merit.
I read on some site that ninja was data mined along with a few other classes. Anyone else read this? Ninja was my favorite FFXI class so I'm interested if it may eventually be in FFXIV.

Yes..

Hmm, the Elezen seem to be the least played race, by a lot.
Both Elezen and Lalafell will likely be the least played race. At least in NA/EU. This goes for any games with Elves, they are amongst the least-played races but I don't really know why. Perhaps because they usually always look more effiminated than human races....but I can't say for sure, I think they are fine.
As for Lalafell, it's something completly different, odd race not very typical in most MMOs. Very interesting race though, but don't see a lot of players using them.
I have to disagree with you on the elves part. they are usually the most played race in any game. ROMs last expantion included elves and announced it as such with a passion. blood elves and night elves are the most played races in wow. as for the Elezen. they just look... i donno. somthing about them is just not so appealing.
well when i decide to get the game ( still butthurt about the fatigue system and yes i know all about it just dont like it) i plan to make a char that is on contrary of what i would normally play in mmorpgs. always go for the big race. so this time ill go with a lalafell. pulgist n gladiator.
SO everyone will be well fed, but buck naked with no weapons =P
Blacksmith is really hard. It's nearly impossible to have enough crystals or shards for what you need on top of the resources. It's pretty expensive....
Cooking is easier except that wind crystals are hard to get a hold of.
For most of these you have to do the leve's for them first to get anywhere near decent and still have gil left in your pocket. But once you start succeeding it pays back in full.

Blacksmith is not hard at all. Making useful items is but leveling isn't.

Getting enough of the right things crystal or shard wise is hard especially if you fail a lot. Because you don't get the items back when you don't succeed. But true, it may just be me. My personal opinion is that it is the hardest and most expensive out of the crafting jobs. Well maybe, I didn't get a chance to test alchemist.

I'll eventually try and work my way towards Fencer/Thaumaturge when they release Fencer.
I shall bring you all of my lead to turn into gold. All of it!

I've got a better idea. Bring me all of your gold, and I'll give you lead for it.
