I would like to see a an MMO based of the Farscape IP. I know space is being done to death at the moment, but the IP has a really unique feel. Also, PvP based on the Peacekeepers v. Luxan Alliance would be fun.
I've personally always wanted an mmo based on the Eragon series
Sons of Gondor! Of Rohan! My Brothers! I see in your eyes the same fear that would take the heart of me! A day may come when the courage of men fails and we forsake all bonds of fellowship! But it is not this day! An hour of wolfs and shattered shields when the age of men comes crashing down! But it is not this day! By all that you hold dear on this good earth, I bid you STAND MEN OF THE WEST! - King Elessar (Aragorn) at the Battle of the Black Gate.
i'll love to see some old rpg come back as mmo's etc.
breath of fire
chorno cross
parasite eve
dragon quest
Also 19th century style mmo where the 2 factons are Vampires Vs Werewolfs and each race gets to pick which side they join, they can though in some famous characters from that period like Dr jekyll and Dorian Gray
lmao jk, even though there is one coming.. but i've already answered this same question 3 seperate times within the past week :x
Basically, would like to see Team Ninja, Ubisoft Montreal, or Santa Monica Studios take a crack at the mmo genre, they all know how to make a game that is just pure fun to play, but basing an mmo off any of their games wouldn't translate too well if you ask me (well apart from AC being hooked up to an animus and all :P).
I am convinced there is only one way to eliminate these grave evils, namely through the establishment of a socialist economy, accompanied by an educational system which would be oriented toward social goals.
I would love to see a Cirqu Du Freak Mmorpg ,Just because it already has everything you would need 3 waring factions different classes for each races and 5 races. With enough lore and possibly the storyline from the books for your character to follow?
Any Wildwest Mmorpg they should try to relate it to the RedDeadRedemptions Multiplayer just so it can be a fresh to the Mmorpg market. Also include lots of minigames like how RedDead has cards, dice, duels , horse racing, and etc.
They should also make a zombie sand box mmorpg as well. Make it so guilds fight over resources, classesless skill less and level less, with indepth ability list that go up depending on how the player plays, players can build guild cities and etc that they have to defend from the hordes( Can be a event system similar to guild wars 2 new event system) Make it third person(similar to fallout 3 third person view), have indepth crafting system and economy. Large scale guild oriented pvp instead of factions so players can actually feel like there not being forced into a theme park faction. Let the guilds own area's until another guild fights them off from that particular area or resource. Players can own trade caravans because they can only hold so much weight. They have to defend their trade caravans as they go from city to city selling goods. Each npc city(player cities can have it after they set up a market area) will have a market place similar to an auction house where players can only access items deposited in that cities auction system. Player can open their own shops where ever they want.
Haha! Good one. Beheading would remind me of MK's "Fatality"... very satisfying plus stealing their power or whatnot.
The more I think about this, the more a NEW IP, not an existing one used to make an MMO makes sense with all the problems an established IP comes with it.
Any setting where you can interact with the world in more substantial ways would work, imo, or where your actions could gain the following of larger sections of NPC's under your "banner" and you could direct these to perform actions such as war on other players, create towns or improve them and create a kingdom etc.
Personally, I think a steampunk MMORPG would be awesome. It would be a great game to give you a reason to craft, for one, as you would build your own gear, and it would be really cool to fly over Victorian London in an airship.
Many have said ones that I would like to see namely ( Master of the Universe , Transformers , Star Craft , Harry potter , Super Mario world onlone ) though I think the Ultimate greatest would be from the Palladium Universe a game called RIFTS <--- the original not the ripped off one being made now .
Rifts had it all it was the best Pen and paper game ever made IMO

Raymonds worlds would make a great mmorpg with vast amounts of lore and races and classes.

As a few others have said,
Firefly.
The series is dead, but if anything the Firefly universe deserves a rebirth, and if done right, an mmo could bring back this true scifi western.
Completely agree.
Silmarillion Online!
Away with the childish LOTRO!!
Make us care MORE about our faction & world pvp!
Signed. These are two of my favorite novels.

Super Mario World Online.
"Sometimes people say stuff they don''t mean, but more often then that they don''t say things they do mean"
Steven Brust's Dragaera (Vlad Taltos series of books) is perfect for a MMO:
2 Races, multiple factions divided amongst the various families
War/Duels
Politics
Intrigue
Magic
Rich lore
Familars/Pets
Intelligent soulbound weapons
etc...

I want a transformers MMO that uses the combat of the latest single player/ multiplayer console game.
Two factions with the ability to betray one and switch sides, teritorial warfare over energon cubes and customizable/upgradable bases,
Customizable Robots and the ability to completely gear head out on the vehicle versions of your bot.
Iconic pve content against the most popular villains and heroes of the IP (Prime, Megatron & starscream).
I think it would be freaking bad ass!!!!
Seriously no joke!
Playing: Rift, LotRO
Waiting on: GW2, BP
Masters of the Universe
Starcraft
Gi Joe
Marvel ( alternate to 616 universe like House of M or Age of Apocolipes)
I challenged my reflection to a staring contest....4 days later i won

definitely magic: the gathering! the thought of slaying a shivan dragon or fighting along side with serra angels just sends shiver down my spine.
