If you're still looking for more members, put me down for a cleric. I'll reactivate Sunday...hopefully there isn't much of an update. I'll post my toons name here when I'm up and running.
Great to have you.
“It's unwise to pay too much, but it's worse to pay too little. When you pay too much, you lose a little money - that's all. When you pay too little, you sometimes lose everything, because the thing you bought was incapable of doing the thing it was bought to do. The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot - it can't be done. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.”
I have just bought this game. Wouldn't mind joining.
Sweet that brings us to 10+.

This could have been the best game out there if Sony had supported it. Good to see some folks coming back, who knows maybe Sony will get there head out of the sand.

I'm glad we started this. I've spent the last two days with my warrior doing nothing but diplomacy and crafting. It's been quite fun, and the good thing is, even though I,m a level 6 blacksmith and a level 3 diplomat, I'm still a level 1 adventurer with no experience, ready to go on Tuesday.
I highly recommend the diplomacy/crafting aspect to those interested in such things.

Crafting and Diplomacy are great fun. Only Crafting of any mmo that actually seems like you are doing something. It even takes a little planning. e.g. Don't forget to have various items in your toolbelt...if there is a fire and you don't have water..then you just wasted all your time and materials for that item. You even have the option to take your time for better quality or just finish the item. ..and as i recall..if you use too many steps..you will not be able to finish the project...hence..another waste of time and resources.Crafting is not just collecting materials and pressing a button. Both Crafting and the mini-card game for Diplomacy(which opens up other options/quests from npcs) is brilliant imo. I currently have too many mmos in my rotation as is..otherwise I'd be there with you all. Good luck and have fun.

I have been doing the same thing with my Druid. I am an Artificer and have also been working the diplomat side. If you actually stop and read what is happening the story is pretty damn good.
So far I can't wait to get rolling on Tuesday.
It's gotten to the point where some MMOs have been reduced to little more than success dispensers. Don't think. Don't challenge yourself. Do as little as possible... but still be rewarded for it. Yeah.. *that's* fun.
Alright, I've activated my old account and made a new toon. Epimetheus is the new name. Scratch me off for the Cleric as I created a Vulmane Shaman. Ends up the cleric I already had was a much higher level than I thought. I was looking over the list of created toons and it seems we have our tanks and DPS. I don't mind playing a healer. See you all Tuesday at 8:30!

It looks like we will have 9, hopefully. I think we can easily get two groups of 4. We can break the groups down in game. Hope to see everyone there.

We had two groups of four characters. Humungoe, Tilron, Epimetheus and Gildarthen (me) all got to level 6 after finishing the initial Isle/Earth Den quests.
I know there was mention of creating a guild, which I think is a good way to go. It makes communication easier.
Pendora, I'm not sure if you got picked up or not. I suggest putting everybody on each other's firends lists, and putting alternate characters on each others firends lists, and putting alts in the guild if you can when it comes around.
Imagine actually playing a MMORPG with actuall people! It's sad to say it's been a while since that's happened and that it's a rare occurance.
I appreciate the time everyone put in. I hope you all had as much fun as I did. I encourage everyone to keep the ball rolling, so to speak.
Good show.

Yea, it was easy going with our group. I hope the other group did just as well. I'm up for a guild. I think it was mentioned earlier in the thread. I have a few low lvl alts I can put in as well. Just let me know and I'll log in to help get things started.
We also had a good time in our group. Most of us finished half way through lvl 5 and a couple dirvishes left to slay.
I think starting a guild would be a great idea, it would keep all of us connected with a common chat system. Anyone know how to set a guild up? Any name suggestions? I think someone suggested 'Vanguard Tuesdays' somewhere in this thread.
There was talk in our group of adding another playing time. I just wanted to share my thoughts on this. For me, scheduling one time a week that I can stick to is much easier than two. And I imagine this is the same for others, so 2 times per week might lead to people missing the group more often (or maybe not). But, I would like to keep our tuesday night characters at the same adventuring level. Maybe other times could be created for alts, for diplomacy, for tradeskills? Anyway, other opinions?
It did go well. I think everyone is around level 6. I have another toon that is almost 10. I might try and bangout a few more levels and start a guild so we can communicate easier. It will also allow us to play togther on other toons if we want.
There was some talk of another date being added. I kind of think we should get the guild up and a little more organized before we go to two days a week. It took us over a week to get this day set and ready and I am not sure we can get another day set and everyone in in just a couple of days.

Hay MMOman,
I've been reading your post, and glad things are going well.
I'm not dedicated to any guild yet, as I mostly rely on my Friends list. However my main in in his 20's, and I have to start a new character either this after noon or tomorrow, because my friends girlfriend now loves Vanguard. So I have to start over again.
Anyway, I usually play around 6 pm est and log off around 9 or 10, but if you start a guild, I may be able to bring some of my friends over. As stated I'm good a finding people, and beginning to know the dungeons well. I plan on doing everyone systematically, so maybe I can help ?
The Hunters league quest chain can be a major challenge for a group, and know the first three parts, Everyone should do it starting around level 16 or so.

Yea it was a fun night. Enjoyed the group and playing with people and not having to solo.
Hope everyone had fun and I think once we leave the Island we can create a guild but I am not 100% sure.
