There is one very simple answer as to why WAR fails...it's because it was made by Mythic.
If this was the same Mythic who created Dark Age of Cameltoe, it would've been a hit, but sadly...it was created by new-age Mythic, who sucks on the tit of EA.
I guess I can list a million things why they only have only a handful of servers left but basically they did not give Warhammer that special love it deserved. All they did was cut corners and rush it out the door looking to make a quick profit.
Game started well, lost the usuals after a couple months, failed to address concerns (class balance, pq loot rolls were completely broken, bugs) lost some more, end game didnt exist for months keep swapping most repetitive thing ever... lost some more... couple months later... end game still didnt exist keep swapping most repetitive thing ever... lost some more.... couple months later... endgame existed but broken keep swapping still most repetitive thing ever... lost the rest... couple months later most things fixed... nobody left or willing to return.
Cliff notes: Took way too long to fix game-breaking broken game mechanics.

Because the PQs have tumbleweed floating across them.
We're all Geniuses. Most of us just don't know it.
